Off Road Vintage Go Kart Kit Build | Part 2

2021 ж. 16 Сәу.
245 455 Рет қаралды

We tear down our Off Road Vintage Go Kart Kit to build it back stronger and prettier. Our "Foxy" Go-Kart Build gets equipped with a Stage 4 Tillotson 225 Engine, and we run it through the dyno to see how much power we are getting. Topped off with a 1st Person Drone chase, you'll be in for quite a ride.

  • Raced a Fox brand cart in 59-62 but we ran Mac 20's on it. Not that the twin engine setup was that much faster but the added torque for bigger guys made a difference. Twins were usually an UnIimited class and me being a 10 year oId weighing nothing I was almost unbeatable in the UnIimited races. Dirt was the hardest to race, being so Iight I could bounce right off the trac. Good memories.

  • Though it just seemed a little strange why you wouldn't have had the frame (and whatever other components) powder coated first, in order to save yourself the trouble of having to disassemble and then reassemble the whole thing over again... but aside from that, all-around it was a great project and video - nicely done! 👍

  • Can you do a dyno comparison between a stock air filter and the pod filter with adaptor please? I run a foam filter on my Go-kart (with a Mikuni VM22, custom 28mm O/D exhaust and pitbike muffler as well as very carefull porting) and I've noticed a drop in power when I switch to a typical pod filter (just the same as when boy racers put pod filters on cars replacing the paper filter... OE is better) and I'm wondering if there is even any gains at all using the pod and adaptor or is it a waste of time just like it is on cars.

    @stevo5521@stevo55213 жыл бұрын
    • Always dry-fit first because you may need to weld things or change stuff and touch-ups are not possible with powder coat the same way paint can. (Obviously you can paint touch up on powder coat it just doesn't look as nice)
