  • Hats off to all the Burnley fans who travelled down for the game Saturday. They made me laugh with the "we've got the ball, we've lost the ball" chant. Sorry to hear this seasons been a waste of time. You get promoted with all the hope excitement that brings only for it to get screwed up. My ut most respect to you all and good luck for the future.

  • He broke the golden rule of breaking up a winning team full of confidence. He doesn't know what he's doing, obviously. I believe its the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result

  • As a palace fan, I was really surprised by the Burnley performance. You completely outplayed us in the reverse fixture and we were so lucky to somehow grab an undeserved win. Saturday seemed like a completely different Burnley team.

  • Palace fan here, after seeing that match on Saturday I can fully understand why you’d be upset at the current state of Burnley. The football being played is really poor and have to respect those who made the journey on Saturday, and is understandable why the away end didn’t sell out. I honestly don’t know why Kompany hasn’t had more pressure on by the media, seeing how bad he is doing tactically. The way you lot set up at 0-0, 11v11 men seemed like you were more than happy to settle for a 0-0 draw, as opposed to trying to get a win. That surprised me as in theory Palace is an ‘easier’ game, especially as we’ve only beaten Sheffield United and Toney-less Brentford since the reverse fixture at Turf Moor; it was a good opportunity to push for three points. I found it really weird that Trafford was time wasting after 20 minutes, have no clue why that should be deemed necessary. Kompany gives me a few red flags as a manager. He seems tactically inept to have a plan B, which reminds me a lot of Palace last season under Vieira where we were trying to hold onto 1-0 losses and went 3 games without a shot on target. However, I think Palace had enough quality in the squad to stay up with Roy Hodgson’s management, which unfortunately don’t think you have if you were to get a new manager. I’ve had a bad feeling about Kompany since March last year, when he came out to the media saying that Vieira shouldn’t have been sacked, when many Palace fans knew exactly why he was sacked and needed to be sacked. It seems very similar between the two managers that the media don’t think that the managers need to be sacked. I also think it was a bit weird how he said that the Premier League was easier than he expected, whilst being deep in the relegation zone, it didn’t sit right with me and made me think that Kompany is not as serious about survival in the premier league than he should be. Sorry for the long comment, but I thought I would add my thoughts as a non-Burnley supporter. Hope that you can start enjoying the football again soon, whether that is in the Premier League with a new manager or in the Championship next season.

  • I no longer believe he is the best person to get us back up. Which of our previous players are going to want to do it again for VK, only to be cast aside if we get back to the Prem? His scouting system is flawed. His pull of who he is will have been severely tarnished by this season already and it could still genuinely get worse as we still have months to go. I think they need to cut the chord and make the change. VK, despite how much of a likeable character he is, has shown this season he cannot adapt. Thanks for the memories VK, but I just don't want to watch anymore of this weak, gutless and completely illogical football.

Kompany should be under extreme pressure. But i personally don't think he is. Which is filtering into those players and straight onto the pitch weekly. LAUGHING STOCK WE ARE

  • As a Palace I feel your pain. This is how we were feeling towards the end of Roy Hodgson’s management, lacking confidence all round. We felt we would be dragged right into the bottom four. Having a new manager when we did, brought a ray of hope, somehow. We started to sit through press conferences through Roy, that were so disheartening; and the result against Burnley as ignited the flame once again. As I said, I do feel your pain, after supporting Palace for nearly 50 years, experiencing a rollercoaster of a ride.. If Burnley do go down, which in truth looks ominous, I hope a new manager with a desire for success comes into your club and ignites the flame once again for you 👏

  • We won the Title at a canter with 101 points, Incredible. VK tore up that squad and brought in a complete new set of players. My question is why did Kompany think he could make the jump but not his Championship winning set of lads. It’s gone from bad to worse and I think we are heading to become a laughing stock and yeh we maybe already!

  • I dont want Kompany sacked either, but I was another who was angry at him for the first time on Saturday. It's getting really boring watching the same wide open defence/almost lack of zero attacking play week in week out. Keep playing the same players/refusing to play others. When he brought Benson & Cork & Rodriguez on in stoppage time at 3-0.. I thought what an insult. Benson has the ability to change a game, and Cork/Jay Rod would have shown more fight & care than almost all those out there. Trafford, I reckon he had a clause in agreeing to sign for us.. that he starts every PL game when available. Which if is true, then it's only our board/Kompany to blame giving him such a clause. Like I said I don't want Kompany sacked.. but I want to see some things change. He will be under alot more pressure next season in the Championship than his first season. After spending £100m this season, expectations will be much much higher going into next season. Anything but being in the top 4 mix/close to the top 2 points wise by Winter, & Kompany will be under extreme pressure.

Benson has hardly had a look in this season , but when hes come on ive watched and every time hes got the ball hes invariably got a cross in or a shot or won a corner. Trafford should have been cups and then maybe winning his place.

And what else is annoying is the fact our best players from last year aren’t playing or have been loaned out. Players like o’shea just aren’t good enough. Trafford is a good goal keeper, but that year we swapped Hart out foe Heaton, it worked miracles. I sort of agree with kompany as to these players are better than last years players. But they are just to young, to nieve and just don't know each other to well. That being said, we have put some good performances together with them against top tier sides. I think the future looks very bright at burnley football club and a year in the championship will do them a world of good for confidence and how they gel. Terrible performance today btw, even before the red card. Just out worked more than anything

I honestly think you got off lightly in this game thanks to the Palace being shite at set pieces and my days if we had EZE and OLIZE available it could have been carnage .. Honestly , their seemed to be no passion or fight neither from the bench or your players and given your position and the passion shown by your fans thats pretty worrying... Hope things turn around for you and of course , it aint over til the fat lady sings .... Good luck ... Start fighting on the pitch . Close it down ... Be the old Burnley... The prem needs the Burnley's , The Palaces, Fulham's , Forests.... (Not Brighton of course) as these are the real teams/clubs and not the billionaire spending clubs who try to outspend each other to buy the league in their plastic bowl corporate stadiums... Best wishes BURNLEY and I really hop you make it through.....

How many times have they played. Benson was fantastic in the Championship but he can’t cut it at this level? Palace fans have been raging because we started that transition then binned it put the car in reverse and went back to old faithful Roy football..very similar to Dyches football......which has been a huge fuck up.
