I think Socialite would be better if they got to select a few people to invite to an exclusive party - those people would be roleblocked, but able to have a smaller private chat like how coven does.
The second game was so frustrating to watch knowing mechanics of the game. Firstly, yes, there would be two roleblock messages if you're roleblocked twice. So Chilled was straight up admitting to poisoning your drink. The poisoner can't poison someone without attempting to roleblock them. Also, (this is brought up later) poisoner can roleblock every night, but can only poison someone one time. The roleblock message is the same as a tavern keeper's message. You only know it's a poisoner when they use poison with the roleblock. Secondly, when you have a 1 for 1 with 5 people left and two covens and a jailor, and you're hanging one of the two, hang the person who was just in jail (with no kills). Hanging Em when Heck couldn't be jailed again was the wrong move. But then again, Chilled shouldn't have still been alive days after admitting to being poisoner so :x As a bonus mechanic that Chilled brought up (which, by the way, I'm sure he was a little confused about the mechanics too, so I don't think he was purposely trying to lie about mechanics), the poisoner can't actually be roleblocked by a tavern keeper, it's one of the roles that is roleblocked immune :) Extra bonus mechanics: - Jailed person doesn't get a message if they're attacked in jail in TOS2 (they did in TOS1) - Pirate is a unique role. There can't be 2 in a game

Yeah... I originally thought Socialite prevents everyone from acting at night, so it could at least have some use. But no, it just outs the Jailor for no reason, despite being a town role, as well as making it really hard to talk to the prisoner. It also prevents coven from talking, but they still can see who they attack, so that does nothing. Ze's idea sounds better, but it still won't be very useful. Instead of just anonymous, maybe something like this: It stops everyone from acting that night, including jailor. Random two people get selected and can speak, but instead of names, you see them speak as their roles. Kinda like how dead used to see the medium as "Medium". For example, Jailor and Arsonist got picked. Jailor can reveal stuff they know safely, everyone will only see that Jailor said something. And it's in arso's interest to keep quiet, so no one can see that there's an arsonist.
Is the Jailor still excluded even if they don't jail someone?
I think it would be more interesting to just turn all their names to their roles...it wouldn't out tailor as much because more would have reason not to speak. But it would also make it more difficult to identify them if they did.
a strat a ton of people use is not speaking in socialite parties as town so evils can't find jailor as easily :b
The idea of blocking everyone for a whole night sounds terrible, that just drags out the game even more, especially if they get to host both parties. Also, your idea of 2 people speaking isn't really much of a 'Socialite'. The way to make Socialite work better with Jailor would be to add separate chats for the Jailor/Prisoner, where the Jailor can freely switch between Jail chat and Social chat. Prisoner only has Jail chat for obvious reasons.
22:30 - my thoughts on how socialite parties should be exactly. certain roles get screwed over with how the socialite is currently. Jailor for example is easily outted by them. Pirate also has problems with how open the night party is.

I actually very much preferred the ending of the Monte Cristo book to the movie. Granted, the book is a hefty 48 hours (great audiobook for long car rides, btw), whereas the movie has to crunch it down to only a couple hours, so it loses a shit ton of depth and the duplicity

Yeahhh I thought of the masquerade/anonymous chat some days ago and I agree. Coven, Pirate, and Jailor can be unfortunately outed.
Not Coven. They can freely talk. Jailor and maybe Pirate are the only ones getting outed.

One idea for improving Socialite is giving the Jailor a button to switch between jail chat and party chat. That would give them a good way to avoid outing themselves. Also, having a button to hide chat messages from partygoers would be great for both jailor and jailee to make it easier to see each other's messages.
22:22 It would be great is the Socialite threw a masquerade instead so everyone was anonymous. I especially like Ze's idea of it being a way to pass around information as Town, or try to confuse ppl as a killer.
Oh man. The Mist had such a perfect ending. Ahhhhhhhh. I could gush about it easily. So damn good.

So the grocery store scenes of the Mist were filmed near me, and almost in my town. I absolute hate that ending.

It's a classic, but really feels more like an adventure YA novel you could pick up today lol The Count is a bit of a Marty Sue (if you let the whole psychopathic revenge thing slide), but I love him anyway And I've never seen any of the movies, but the ending of the book felt good to me *Spoilers for a 200 year old book I guess here we go* I really expected the Count to die in the end because classical lit really loves its "high morals" and punishing people for standing up to their abusers, but no. Dumas really said "sometimes you gotta spend your entire life coming up with an elaborate plan to destroy your enemies, and that's alright. here, hold this beautiful wife and these indescribable riches for me", and I think that was very sexy of him
F THE MIST ENDING, THEY COULD OF DONE A TWO FOR ONE AND SAVED THAT DRAMA... and that all ill say about that.
Anonymous socialite sounds interesting thematically, yes. Mechanically, it ruins Socialite's primary role - that of stopping evil teams from coordinating openly.
Socialite currently can’t really do that either. Coven can still see who their team chooses to hit and plan accordingly and they can preplan if they know there’s a socialite

I think open endings in books or cliff hanger endings are the worse, especially if there isnt another book to follow it. So you are left with just no idea what even happens next.
More TOS is a good thing!
Is chilled starting to forget what roles are neutral killing? Twice he has brought them up as a threat after they are already dead. First was the arsonist then the next round he asked what could be the neutral killing after the pirate was killed.
If there is a party. If someone uses an ability, it should notify the socialite that X,Y,Z people left the party early.

I think town traitor is easily noticeable, don't any other prosecutor or any other lynching role other then marshal instantly turn it night? Apples prosecution didn't, she was town traitor that game

No they changed it to where when Prosecutor does their ability it doesn't count as a trial.
