  • It is important to work in good company where you have good peers to learn from. 1. Getting out of comfortzone 2. Take risks 3. Taking care of health 4. Browse opensource learn things. These things, I feel were hard realities I chose to ignore. Realized very late. You never fail to motivate me. Thanks!

  • Been in the industry for more than a Decade. There are a lot of fields that are NOT dependent on how much you can increase your TECH STACK. That being said, it is always good to expand your horizon. However, It is not necessary that if your proficiency/competency does not flood into extra programming languages, you will be erased out of the market. A lot of us have the urge of learning all the languages that are out there in the market. . Unless you are Margaret Elaine Hamilton, nobody is going to remember how many tech stacks you learnt or how many opensources you understood by pulling all nighter. There is no end of learning...take a time out, take a breather!! Learn smart, don't spend time on learning everything!!

    @ayanchakrabarti6228@ayanchakrabarti6228Ай бұрын
    • Actual developer thing ❤ I made that mistake and i regret it. It's worthless to acquire new skills every month as you will eventually forget things if you don't use that stack. Although it's easy for you to catch up when you need it but still in today's AI era you can do it easily when you really need those skills

In my expr, everywhere I gamled I lost, worked on Startups hoping it will go IPO never went, I think the key is 2-3 year, you taste water. If you see your going where they are going, you know either you are going down or up and make prompt decisions

  • Don't you think point 6 and 7 that you explained contradict each other. 6 says knowing different tech stack will keeps you updated 7 says sticking to one compounds over time rather than lurking around and trying to learn little bit of everything. Explain me if I am wrong

    @SaMurai_6000@SaMurai_6000Ай бұрын
    • Obviously it contradicts each other. He thinks he has got it all figured out. Let me tell you, this guy had the right mindset and was lucky. He started looking for remote gigs in 2020, was open to learn new technology like web3. He got good remote jobs in web3. Remote became the norm due to corona. Obviously he worked super hard for it. But the thing is, there was a lot of luck involved as well. He met the right people, learnt the right technology, got on the hype train at the right time. Don't think about the points he is giving too much. There is one important point he didn't mention, which was also one of the biggest reason for his so called "success". It is being proactive. You should be proactive. Take those initiatives. Go and talk to the smartest guy you know and take their inputs. Go out there and message that google engineer about some project you are working. Share your projects on linkedin. Tag senior architects and ask them about their opinion on it. Learn new technologies. Diversify your knowledge. Don't think. Just Do. And keep on doing. If you are "lucky" you might make lot of money but even if you are not, you will still end up making some good money. Let me tell, you don't need a lot of money to be happy. Income beyond 1-2L is literally useless. Lot of people are living very happily in their village at 30k/month salary with their family. They are eating good food, enjoying great family time and playing with their friends. That is much better than getting 1 lac in some other city where YOU are not happy. It is literally completely ok to be a PHP developer and host your own websites on hostinger. Heck, it is even OK to just be a Wordpress developer. Anyways rant over. In summary, just do whatever you want and make sure you are having fun. Try to play the long game, don't focus immediately on money but what kind of life you want. I literally saw a guy on LinkedIn who most probably comes from a very humble background. He made drones won some competition, started his company, closed it to pursue fking beatboxing. Figured it won't work out, so he did BCA and now current ly working remote for a UK based org. most probably earning same as people in IITs. Take what you want out this post or this video for that matter. Ultimately life is all about taking initiatives and luck. He does not know shit, i don't know shit. We are all trying to do our best and survive. Don't let others influence your brain. Just have fun and figure out the journey that is life.
