I stopped being a fan of the Rangers cause this man would constantly stand on his head to give us a chance to win but evert year the rest of the team forgets how to play in the post season.
If there was ever a man who deserved the cup, it was this guy. Amazing goalie and literally carried his team on his shoulders for many games/seasons!

@@chasegreen1790 What do you mean "for him"? Do you think he cares if the rangers wins this year? If anything its a needle in the eye for him that the rangers win 2 years after he left and he didnt get to win himself.
@@glennhagstedt Lundqvist has gone above and beyond for 15 years to get Rangers a trophy, he's pulled his own weight and his teams a hundred times over and still his team choked every time they got the chance to win. There's not a single person in the Rangers franchise today that deserves the trophy more than Lundqvist.

2015 was the year. If they don't lay an egg against Tampa in game 7, they would've walked Chicago. Tampa was literally the only team that could've beat them that year.

From a Caps fan, nothing but the highest respect for Lundqvist. He gave us a lot of headaches but you have to tip the hat.

It’s a shame that they could not assemble a team good enough to win the cup while he was in his prime. It doesn’t appear they will do so with Igor either. As a lifelong Rangers fan this is incredibly frustrating, esp that they were eliminated in the first round and Shesty stood on his head for them.

I'm not a Rangers fan but I'm Swedish and Frölunda is my favorite team so he will always be a legend, even to me. Edit: I just noticed that he still holds the record for best save percentage in the SHL. And he set it bak in the 02-03 season when he played for Frölunda Indians. 0.948 over 28 games played. 2nd is Oscar Ahlsenfelt (Malmö Redhawks) with a 0.945 over 33 games played, back in the 16-17 season. 3rd is Frederik Andersen (back then he played for Frölunda Indians, today he's playing for Carolina Hurricanes) in the 11-12 season with a 0.941 average save rate over 39 games played
now if only he had gotten to lift the stanley cup

My 15 years watching king Henrik’s all those accolades over the years best reception he got when his number went up! Same thing with Richter and Giacomin! But king Henrik’s above both of them Now!

I’ve been watching hockey since I was 13 years old and watching the New York rangers I should say since I was 13 years old and I’ve seen them all but the king was the man and he did deserve that cop but we have a Russian name Igor and he will bring that come to the garden And I know that the team wins that Cop they’re going to call Henry Tich down to take a walk around with that cop on the ice because he deserves to have it in his hands and touch it and be with the guys because he was an acrobatic in that net I never saw a body flipping so many different directions so quickly I mean I remember like six saves in a row six shots in a row and saved everyone of them. He was unbelievable. Don’t worry Henrikh this year’s for you let’s go rangers.

@@clubpenguin13531 Hasek is arguably the best to ever play the game. If he wasn't on Buffalo all those years he would probably be the winningest goalie born overseas. Last i checked Hank is the winningest goalie born in Europe
