  • I’m from England as well but mince pies are filled with raisins, sultanas, currants, sugar & spices like nutmeg & cinnamon, they aren’t filled with actual minced beef- Audrey & Jo

  • All the British not liking mince pies, they are SUCH an acquired taste bc of the fruit and brandy and even the texture. Definitely a staple even tho most don’t like them 😂

    • Always had fruit in it but the meat was taken away just like you said bc it was too expensive, especially during the war and then it stuck
