I really hate when low price things get praises and then the company just agrees and puts a higher price
It’s the same price-
@@snake220 exactly I don’t get this comment
@@tac90150 buy it on best buy then
Meh, don't use condenser mics for gaming anyway. People who market condensers for gaming and streaming are just trying to cash in on gullible consumers who do not know much about audio.
@@ulfrinn8783 it’s plug and play that’s all I needed to hear to want it 😂
I barely and I mean barely noticed the switch to the solo cast, it leveled out almost immediately.
@PLGE Shame yup
wow... this review was really clean and organized. Had every bit of info i needed, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I barely noticed a difference between the Quad and Solocast until the keyboard test and the Razer sound so narrow and low. Solocast is for sure a good one for the price.
The keyboard sounded louder on the razer Aswell I feel like
The fact that the keyboard test is basically the only difference, is prob because of the shock mount? (Because like half the kb sound was shaking sounds and not the clicky)
Seems pretty good might pick on up on Black Friday or Christmas 🎄
Thank you for the review that was great. Could you recommend a shock mount for the Solocast by chance?
Amazing review! Thank you for this info.
This was some solid review! Great job
I was deadset on buying the seiren mini until I found out about the solocast and watched this video. Now I'm definitely getting the solocast. Take my like, good sir!
@Kobe got the same problem over here. Stocks were available for like 2-3 days for like $60 retail, and now it's sold out everywhere with resellers selling it for $110. And after watching this video, I really don't want to settle for the seiren mini.
Yeah, the shock mount on the Seiren Mini does work tho, you can definitely hear a difference against the SoloCast when typing.
Virgin megastore should have it
The seiren mini sounds very good when speaking near it.
@@Commander_Cat better than solo cast though?
You can hear the difference - the Razor sounds like you were in a well etc, but at the end of the review, and you switched back to the HyperX Solo, you could heard the difference, and you voice sounded more mellow ;) Thanks fr sharing!
This made me realize that I've been using my Solocast facing the wrong direction LMAO
When you talk to people through a voice chat, is your voice clear for them?
LMAOO
Lmao
Mandalorian Excerpt Comparison 4:10 - SoloCast 5:00 - QuadCast S 6:02 - Razer Seiren Mini
They sound exactly the same
@@CERRYGREENBAY I would say otherwise. The SoloCast sounds much more closed and compressed than the others, where as the QuadCast sounds the most open of them all (e.g. space in the room). The Razer Seiren Mini is quite similar to this, but a little more compressed. These are my opinions, at least. This is what I think though, and your opinions may vary :)
@@CERRYGREENBAY Solocast and Quadcast are the same. The Razer sounds inferior.
Thank you, kind stranger
@@CERRYGREENBAY Maybe you should use some good earphones to listen. The Quadcast S sounds the best (though that should be expected given the price) and the Solocast is also excellent with richer voice than the Razer one. The Razer seiren mini sounds muted, though it's still a decent option with the internal shock mount.
Awesome vid ! Might be just me but I’d like to see you add in how they sound with it on a boom arm and closer to you . ( For the content creators )
Same
I have both now, Solocast and the Quadcast. Solocast is a great mic. I am on the fence of keeping it though as I like the option of the adjustable gain on the Quad and I hate the blinking LED when on mute. Also, the Solocast doesn't really have an internal pop filter like the Quadcast but the plosives haven't been an issue. I do have mine on a mic boom arm though above my head, about 6 -10 inches away from my mouth so it is not viewable via the cam. Size, build quality, and sound are great.
i mean. I just bought the solocast and its ariving on saturday. But thats beside the point. A 106 doller mic is gonna be better than a 60 doller mic.
but i do agree that the solo cast is a great mic
how's the solocast in terms of picking up keyboard and mouse noise when its on your boom arm? and do you have a shock mount attached? if so how does that impact the external noise levels? Been trying to find something that doesn't pick up my thumping keyboard sounds - currently using a dynamic microphone with an interface and even slight tapping on the lead causes earthquake-like soundwaves to whoever I'm causing lmao Thanks!
@@conahscreations I believe it would be the same as the Quadcast (QC). The mic difference is that the QC has 3 capsules for the 4 polar patterns, the solocast has 1 for cardioid. Their capsules are the same for both mics. Only nice thing is the QC has the gain adjust on the mic. That said I am going to sell my QC as the it turns on all the time by itself triggered by something in Windows or USB. Can't seem to fix this quirk.
With Jordan’s voice everything can sound excellent. 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🔊🔊🔊
I fully agree, he has a great voice so an average mic sounds great
True
ong i cant tell which is better

Excellent video and fantastic comparison of the mics. Thank you.
The seiren mini sounds very good when speaking near it.
The impact sounds is a deal breaker, but I bet some simple DIY can fix that. Plus it sounded much fuller than the razer one. The seiren mini sounds like my 20$ lav mic!
A good boom arm and shock mount should do the job
I have a solution, i have this mic at home just bought it and kinda got upset because of the impact sounds but i remembered that the stand can tilt, so i tilt it to full on the right and it somehow removed the keyboard vibrations, while it still has keyboard clacks it totally removes the vibration, let me know if this helped you thanks
@@playhouse5390 I don't get my mic until Monday but I will keep this in mind, thanks for the tip XD
@@playhouse5390 this helped me, thank you.
just get a £10/$10 boom arm ez
Appreciate the review, I'm gonna be going with the Solocast !
You’re welcome, enjoy it!
I’m excited for my mic!!! Might be coming today or tomorrow
I got this today, I’m exited to try it
I don't know what filters / effects you have applied on samples recorded with different mics (if any), but Solocast sounds definitely best here, I would say Razer is rather flat and bland. Thanks for helping me choose.
really helpful thankyou a lot
I am current still using Razer Siren Mic with the icon Led display and the high boom arm but it already damaged a bit of my labtop for been so heavy and since it only has micro usb which I would like to move away from I will go for this mini mic, The Razer mini doesn't have C type biggest Facture that destroys their creditability
I was thinking about the razer and this one. The mute button got me to buy this one instead. I like to have a mute button on the microphone itself
Finally someone else makes it
Thank you, a great review, helped me to make a decision which mic to buy!
Glad I could help!
great video, super helpful! subscribed!
I think the SoloCast actually sounds great. I currently use an AntLion Modmic with some HD58X but I wanted a mic that I could use with IEMs. I might just go for the SoloCast since the price point is very appealing and I'm sure with RTX voice enabled it won't be picking up any of that desk reverb.
did you buy it ? and if you did does rtx voice block the vibraitons or No ? please answer
@@aboody2873 yes to both questions, I use it for work calls and for gaming with friends. No issues.
@@__vha thanks for the reply
hi again did it block it with the boom arm or no ?

really solid review
this is what i need tyyyyy
Awesome video! I’m looking for a mic with similar quality but that WONT pic up background noise like keyboard and voices in the background, and recs?
Thanks! You’d probably want to go for a dynamic mic then, one like this: kzhead.info/sun/qNBmptunhXN8ooE/bejne.html
i seent it when hyperx tweeted it. so here i am.
nice review
*Nice video..thank u sir*
Great review. Earned my sub, thanks.
Thanks for the sub!
Thank U So Much For Your Dear Comments In Microphone... =)
Man sorry to bother but how do you set up your audio... your voice sounds crystal clear and I have the same mic it dosen't sound like that
I only doing singing with headset with microphone of Ez Voice.
Woww!!!! the best review on youtube!
what stand are you using? maybe this genre of microphone holders/stands has a name? I can only find ones with the like, a hole where u place a microphone in, do u think that would work too on this mic?
What filters can I add to help my microphone sound better? Settings etc
solocast or Razer Serien X better?
So my questions are simple. Is this SoloQuest mic. A good mic for chatting in discord or streaming on twitch?
yoo which should i buy ... hyperx solocast or fifine k670?
Been using the solo cast for almost a year now, great mic but it needs sound suppression or it will pick up everything, sounds from the next room, keyboard sounds, controller sounds, you breathing lol, I use equalizer apo with rn noise vst(both are free), with noise suppression it's excellent.
What app do you use ? im getting all the noises haha
@@HORRORGAMERS408 Hey I used equalizer apo, with rn noise vst, it cancels out everything there's a few vids on KZhead of how to set it up, all free software too
is this equalizer apo on microsoft store, or just a free software downloadable from the internet? @@vypersnow808
Quick question, if I use noise gate and voice limiter on the hyperx won’t it cancel out any bump’s or background noise? Thanks
I only payed 45 at Walmart and it’s been amazing since i started streaming and making and recording videos 10/10 would recommend for beginning content creators
Is it compatible with I phone?
I really want to get the wireless Cloud 2 but I don't have the money and also the reason why is because my wired Cloud 2 for some reason if I just barely twist the wire the sound sounds like crap
*it seems to me that what Razer Seiren Mini is better than mic HyperX SoloCast. what do you think??*
4:11 - HyperX SoloCast 5:01 - HyperX QuadCast 6:03 - Razer Seiren Mini
The Seiren Mini sounded less isolated than the Hyper X. Both sounded good, but the SoloCast actually sounded like you were speaking from a sound dampened room moreso than the Razer.
if i were to turn the solo cast upside down would it drop or is the holder strong?
boom arm is a must for the solocast otherwise pick up wayyyyyy to much desk noise.... but, with a boom its a fantastic mic
agreed!
Will this be good to broadcast radio and voiceovers
i just picked mine up at walmart for 35 bucks, nice mic ngl
Can the LED on the HyperX Solocast be disabled? I'm worried it might be too distracting.
Great comparison, would have been nice to have Back to back to back reviews with no chat between so you can easily compare without losing your comparison in the "chit chat". But very helpful over all thanks
Is the solocast or auna mic 900 better ?
Hi! Do the HyperX SoloCast work with Streamplify boom arm?
with an arm does it make the typing sounds lower?
I found a solution on removing keyboard vibrations on the solocast mic, because the stand is able to be tilted, tilt the stand and the mic to the left or the right side and that should remove the impact noise, please let me know if this worked
That never occurred to me! I just tried that on my own solocast and it worked perfectly! thank you so much! Is there any reason why tilting it reduces the impact noises?
I personally prefer using NVIDA Broadcast and it works for every microphone perfectly fine!
I love the it $60 want to see more things in the price range
i recommend the FiFine t669
If you were to pick from the solocast and the seiren mini which would you recommend considering all aspects like price, build quality, sound, ect?
both have same sound quality, in my opinion. if u have more bucks, go for hyperx solocast since it has mute button, usb c and flexible mount (it has 3/4 and 5/8 mic which is useful for mostly holder), but if it doesnt matter for you, go for razer seiren mini.
@@braveradanta I got the tonor q9 since it sounds good thanks tho
@@braveradanta Solo cast sounds cleaner.
Is a shock mount and Pop filter really worth it? its like 50 something € for me. Is it a good investment?
3:50 I thought someone's knocking on my door, it's already 3am. I had to pause and rewind the video to make sure huhu
Would you recommend this microphone for V/o and podcasting?
As a very budget option yes. As someone who owned this the sound quality is very good but try not to bump the table or desk because the impact sounds are quite annoying. If ur looking for a more mid range I’d suggest the hyperx quad cast, not the quad cast s just the quad cast. It depends on wha fits ur budget tho and what will work for u
What would be the best mic for travel?
i am just starting to learn how to make music and i want to find an affordable mic to use and it seems like this mic os good for gaming and other stuff but how is it for recording music??
I too am getting into music, im probably wrong here, but I don’t think a cardioid pattern is the best for recording instruments, and the solo cast can only record in cardioid. I hope I helped
Is this mic used for gaming or record? bc i just bought a asmr/record music mic and im looking for a gaming mic.
This mic vs their quad cast which one is better
Will this work on ipad if I have type c to lightning cable? Or I need a dongle with power port on it?
HyperX Solocast can do discord voice call? (i'm asking tho)
What mic do you use?
Just bought this.
is this good for streaming?
Which keyboard used in this review?
Does the USB-C end plug into the computer or the microphone? Would I be able to plug this into a Mac without an adapter?
the usb c plugs into the microphone and the usb a plugs into the computer
I have the solocast and a problem with it since yesterday. It's touch mute button just doesnt work anymore. Yesterday it happened for the first time and I unplugged it and plugged it in again and it worked. But today it happened today and nothing seems to help.. does anyone have a fix? Cant find anything on google. Mic is only a few months old and really shouldnt be broken
I have the HyperX SoloCast mic, Mine is pretty bad, it get's cutted off and my voice isn't really accurate :(
Hello, I've had this microphone for a few days and when I use it on my laptop, the person listening tells me that there is an echo, the same sentence is repeated many times and it ends up that nothing can be understood. Can you help me with an advice, what should I do? Thanks in advance
So none of these will connect and work on a Xbox series x?
a built in shock mount at this price is warranted. huge miss hyperx
Ciao, secondo te se compro un adattatore posso farlo funzionare su un cellulare? Se sì, basta l'adattatore?
I have a quick question before I invest in this mic. The HyperX SoloCast. Does pushing the mute button on OR off create a sound into the mic for people to hear? It's such a weird thing to be bothered by, but I HATE it when my stream or friends hear me mute myself. They ask invasive questions, and I just want a mic that is quiet while toggling a button for muting. I can't seem to find ANY videos testing the ACTUAL pressing of the mute button.
Great question! It's a capacitive "button" so there really isn't a button to press in you just have to make contact with it. Even the lightest bit of contact will activate it. If you tap it really hard, it will make a bit of a pop, but if you're really light, it's pretty much inaudible. Hope that helps!
@@9to5toys Oh my gosh thank you so much!! Definitely gonna consider this mic then
@@Lexastarmie did u buy it? I want to know if I should get it !! :)
Hi. Will it work as plug n play on a MacBook Air (to be used in imovies) ?
Yup! Just choose the SoloCast as the input.
@@9to5toys um if u could pick from solo or sieron x mini?
if youre short on money or not a streamer, but want a good mic like me go with the fifine k670.Cheaper,yet it sounds almost the same. Was surprised when i got mine that how good really it is for the price.Usually cheap products in this segment are crap, but this is almost blue yeti level good.
does it connect with a canon sl3?
It is $40 USD right now in Amazon and for the price, I'm seriously impressed.
It’s 35 on Walmart!!!
Can I put it on any boom arm? Do I have to use one that I can screw it into? I have one that will just have it pop in, will that work?
Yes u can I watched a guy doing a review on it and he used a boomarm on this mic
But Idk about the screwing or just putting the mic on one
HyperX Quadcast vs HyperX SoloCast. which one good for content youtube like gaming/streaming/react videos?
Solo. Quad if you found it on sale, but be ready to buy some poppy filter and shocks mount with arm.
can the usb c be coverted to usb 3 ? ans would i lose quality by doing so?
I have a white SoloCast on the way that I got for $31! Does anyone have a good shock mount they recommend, preferably in white?
Does it work on PS5?
I got my solocast mic and its amazing!!
I’m gonna buy it to make content
I found a free way so it barely picks up your keyboard heres the steps: first go to google and search up voice mod downloader then click on the first one and download it now open up voice mod and choose the clean voice changer which will make the microphone sound better then at the bottom of voice mod select the sound settings which is at the bottom of voice mod now go to reduce background noise and put it on the one you like the best and now your done your microphone will barely pick up your keyboard!
