Most of the "students" are working their way through the pipeline of Special Forces training. They're in fantastic shape, and as many times as I've watched this video I cannot get over how young they look. Of course when I served in the Army, I was that young too, but I wasn't crazy enough to do anything like this! I wish them all the good fortune in the world; they're going to need it!

How do you become a halo instructor?
@zacharykinsey89123 жыл бұрын
First you must be in a MOS that has a HALO requirement and then get Halo Qualified. once you’ve been on status for a year and have more than 50 jumps you can go to the HALO jump master course. Once you’re a JM you can request or volunteer to be an instructor. After you report to the school house, you will be sent through the instructor course and then be able to instruct students. It’s a tough job. When I went to HALO school. We did 3 jumps a day. My instructor did six. He jumped with me and another student. While I was packing my chute he was jumping with the other guy and vise versus. Good luck to you.

Are the guys in white suits there to make sure they get their chutes deployed? I've never jumped before but I want to be a PJ. I'd be lying if this shit didn't make me a little nervous.
@JaredHeuer5 жыл бұрын
Those are the trainers, so yes. They're there to ensure everything goes right, not just that the parachute deploys, but that you don't spin out, pass out, etc. According to our trainer who was a CCT, there were individuals who would spin out and couldn't control themselves in the air during freefall, so they couldn't even pull their own shoots.
@victorvillari61365 жыл бұрын
Wow that's insane. So they literally fly over and hook into them? At least you're not completely alone first time making a jump. Thanks
@JaredHeuer5 жыл бұрын
@@JaredHeuer Yes, they're around you in case anything goes wrong. In case you don't know, before HALO training and freefall training, you go to Ft. Benning for Airborne School. There's a series of 3 videos, starting with, "Fort Benning Airborne School, Week 1." You should watch them. So by the time you make it to Free Fall training, you'll already have a nice amount of experience jumping out of planes. And as a disclaimer, I leave January 2nd to hopefully become a PJ, so whatever I'm telling you isn't from my own experience.

How do you become a halo instructor?
First you must be in a MOS that has a HALO requirement and then get Halo Qualified. once you’ve been on status for a year and have more than 50 jumps you can go to the HALO jump master course. Once you’re a JM you can request or volunteer to be an instructor. After you report to the school house, you will be sent through the instructor course and then be able to instruct students. It’s a tough job. When I went to HALO school. We did 3 jumps a day. My instructor did six. He jumped with me and another student. While I was packing my chute he was jumping with the other guy and vise versus. Good luck to you.
1:32 O_O
Rich DK lol bag lock is a bitch
It could have been worse. It could have turned into a horseshoe!
Can you spell "BAG LOCK"? Can you spell"CUT-A-WAY NOW"!!!???
@@ronniegray8993 had a horse shoe on my first AFF jump!
@@ronniegray8993 How it can be turned in a horseshoe after a bag lock malfunction? :D :D lol
this is the sickest shit, hope to be there someday
Done a tandem with my daughter for her 21st If you get the chance JUMP, some experience WOW!
Exactly. I did it with my cousin last year... And im going back this year. People think im crazy.. I just tell them that for me, it relieves all stress and anxiety by causing the absolute worst stress and anxiety. Lol. Got baby moms problems, jump out a plane. Got ex relationship problems, jump out a plane. Low self-esteem.. Jump out a plane. Bad credit.... Jump out a plane. Why?? Cause all that shit will seem so stupid and little after you land. You feel invincible and appreciate life so much more. I didnt have anxiety for weeks. The view was awesome. 14,000 feet and was my first time on a plane and I jumped out of it with no problems. Lol.
1:35 nice one
Amazing
Are the guys in white suits there to make sure they get their chutes deployed? I've never jumped before but I want to be a PJ. I'd be lying if this shit didn't make me a little nervous.
Wow that's insane. So they literally fly over and hook into them? At least you're not completely alone first time making a jump. Thanks
The guys in white suits are the MFF Instructors. They are there to provide one on one assistance to their assigned studs. They are well trained and have a lot of experience and most are active duty military. If you are thinking about the USAF, go CCT
Alguém teve uma pane de alta aí 👍
HALO? Aircraft crew members aren’t wearing breathing apparatus? Help me understand why the folks in white have to pull rip cords for jumpers? Thank you
This is mostly the first week of training. HALO jumps were conducted later and not filmed. Instructors are in white and sometimes they pull ripcords of student-jumpers for safety reasons.
Army Airborne "All the Way"
Wish i made it man :/
Very cool video
Got learnt by the old man. Then got in front of it; happiness hasn't finished since then. Square away the details and enjoy the rest. Then get busy on the deck.
Miss aff so much had to give it up due to back problem.
HALO HIGH ALTITUDE LOW LEVEL OPENING read the SAS training manual they are the ORIGINALS and still the best
Did anyone die in training? What happen with that bag lock 🔒?
Luckily everyone in this video landed safely. The guy with the bag lock was able to cut away and pull the reserve
Is the guy at 1:21 alive?
everyone survived, reserves work!
@@twesd308 glad to hear it.
