Dude, dogs get worms sometimes regardless of how well of a pet owner you are. Not trying to defend this woman because she's clearly got plenty wrong with her but that's an asinine statement.

@@jres1995 It's really not a asinine comment. I'm going to assume you've never had dogs so that why you're unaware about medications and treatments. If you get routine dewormer from your vet (which the only way to NOT get dewormer during routine vaccines is if you specifically say to not give it because you hate your dog), it's extremely rare for dogs to get worms in the first place. It's why most dogs that get worms are puppies, because they aren't on medication yet. With their vaccines they get dewormer medication after 6 months old. That dog is 100% older than 6 months. Not to mention if your dog does get worms, it's extremely obvious and you discover the worms pretty damn fast. You get a pill for your dog. Thats it. That's all it takes. With vet care, worms don't have a chance to grow that large at all. ESPICALLY IN DOGS THAT SMALL. Farm dogs are more likely to get worms due to them being in contact with nature and unlike city dogs (as in the dog in this video), you tend to notice things fairly quickly when your dog is around you all the time. I highly doubt that small dog is a farm dog that left to it's own devices majority of the time. You can even read other people sharing their stories about their dogs having worms. It's quite rare for them to end up that size because it's extremely easy to get rid of worms in dogs and deworming medication only takes 1 day to start working. Even in extreme cases, only takes a few weeks. Not to mention, that worm is alive. If that dog was getting vet care, it would be pooping out dead worms. It is possible for an adult dog to get worms. But an adult dog, that lives in a city, doesn't interact with nature much, with routine vet care, that's beyond rare. Don't make excuses for people abusing their animals.

I don’t ever use door dash or delivery services just for reasons like this. People, in general, are very gross.
You also can't suddenly add thousands of new places for delivery and have quality employees to do it, especially as bad as they pay. It's hard to believe, but doordash pays $2 plus tip and people are actually taking those orders when there's almost no tip on many of them. The fact that you as a customer paid $20 in delivery fees and food markups means nothing to doordash as far as pay to bring in non-trash contractors.

Which I didn't get until 5 years later.

Literally give your dog a cheap pill once a month. I have a lil stockpile for my 2 dogs. Mark on calendar when you last gave em a dose, repeat monthly. It's really not difficult to keep dogs from getting worms. About the same level of effort as putting flea medication on them. Gotta be a real POS to just, not do these things. Doesn't even require a vet trip. You can buy all this stuff from any pet store, or Amazon for like 25-40$ depending on brand, probably a fraction of what she's apparently spending on meth.

I used to deliver food. I was shocked with how many establishments give open bags of food. McDonald’s gave bags I couldn’t get into easily but I bet most orders where there’s something missing it’s just the driver that’s hungry.

I never use door dash or other delivery services but after seeing that and thinking about how gross and shiesty most humans are, I absolutely will never use those services.

I adopted a rescue kitten that was less than 3 months and ended up having that happen (took to the vet immediately don’t worry we absolutely responded right away he was completely recovered in a few weeks) so maybe it happened in between yearly sessions. But also that was a rescue cat that was frail and in the wild I don’t know the stats of healthy dogs getting them

Fun fact: Some worms that affect dogs are zoonotic and some have larvae that can encyst or become hypobiotic allowing them to persist in an environment for years. Deworming of pets is imperative for their health and for the health of people who interact with them and share an environment. Hope the poor dog gets a better owner
Yea, it’s really indicative of how well a person cares about their pet and doesn’t see them as an accessory when it comes to one having worms … Because if they took them to the vet for regular checkups like a typical pet owner should, it would be treated and nipped in the bud as these things are checked for with regular visits. Hell, you don’t even have to take them to the vet numerous times a year, just one good checkup with all the vaccinations and medicine and they can be golden. Still can’t afford a vet visit (although I’d argue why you have a pet if you’re not going to properly care for it, kind of like how we shame people for having kids while not being able to afford them and their doctors’ visits)? … go buy the right products designed to treat the specific type of worms the pet has (and if you don’t know how to look at a worm and describe it to do research, then you’re utterly useless as a pet owner), administer it per instructions … your pet will thank you for helping them get this shite under control, because this stuff takes a toll on an animal if left unchecked for long periods of time. It’s cruel.

Animal neglect. I have a neighbor who has 3 little dogs that CONSTANTLY get out of the yard and run around in the middle of the street all day. Even today, as its cold and raining, they let the dogs out to poop and pee because they NEVER walk these dogs. So they always look to escape and they terrorize the neighborhood. Ive confronted the neighbors about it and they obviously dont care. Why have a pet if you arent even gonna try to take care of them?

I am seriously reconsidering my habit of ordering grocery delivery.
This is absolutely wild. I mean WILD.
All you need to say: The potential parasite/definite bacteria is on the bag, the customer picks up the bag, those things transfer to hands, customer then eats food, because most don't wash hands after handling a grocery bag. And easy path to sickness. No need for "maybe it...went through the bag..."
On top of that, most people put their grocery bags on a counter before unpacking them to put stuff away. So the bag touches the counter, then even if the customer washes their hands...until they sanitize that counter, the potential for infection remains and transfers to anything that also touches that space. Likewise, the plastic bag gets balled up and BEST CASE SCENARIO thrown away...BUT we all know white people's penchant for having a plastic bag full of balled up plastic bags that we save somewhere in a cupboard/closet to serve as little bathroom trash bags. So then potentially every new bag that gets taken from that area will be contaminated, depending on how long the bacteria or parasite survives on the surface.
Well, I doubt anyone expects to have a lady's dog shit on their groceries. Not something that happens every day.

I remember when my dog got worms as a puppy (first time dog owners, hadn’t put her on worm meds yet) and she got so insanely sick from that I honestly thought she was going to die. We had brought her to the vet once and they said “oh she’ll be fine” and then she puked up a worm the next day. We brought the worm to them in a ziplock bag and they told us to start her on a heartworm med. THATS LITERALLY ALL IT TAKES. One pill every month or two months to stop your dog from being eaten alive by worms. I cannot imagine the pain that poor creature is in. Hopefully someone shows the streams to the authorities so she can be locked up and the dog relocated.

Charlie is giving too much credit to food delivery drivers. Yes, a normal person would have thrown out the worms infested food, but a lot of delivery drivers are doing this job out of necessity. Cancelling the job means they don't get paid. I think a lot more drivers would just deliver the food to the person they have no attachment to than Charlie thinks. This is all within the context of delivery drivers that bring their pets with them, I think for the most part you're not risking getting worms whenever you get a delivery.

When I was in my early 20s my girlfriend left the house early in the morning and was T boned by a car as she pulled onto the main road from a side street. the car that hit her was going 20 over the limit around a curve but because my girl pulled out, it was deemed her fault. At the DMV the case worker tore her up and down for her mistake and suspended her license for a few months. What happened to guys like that? At my last DMV visit I witnessed a person take their test with no one who knew their language on site and during covid they were handing them out without the actual driving test.

When I met my wife many many many years ago, I was at her house and she still lived at home with her mother as they helped each other out. Anyway they had 2 big dogs, but this story does not start with them...but with me. I was personally deworming after a visit to my buddies cabin, where his cousins kids had worms. I was talking to my then not yet wife, and he mother over heard and was scoffing. As she had never heard of a human getting worms, and I said to her that's its pretty common like deworming your pets....and that is where we get to the Dogs, never had she ever dewormed them, this an outdoorsy woman who spent most of her time in the sticks meeting with strangers with her boyfriend as they went around all over...Dogs meeting other Dogs and getting into things. And never once had she dewormed them...herself or her kids. Was a month later when my still not yet wife told me her mothers boyfriend had agreed with me and was just as surprised as he also has dogs and loves them and fully cared for them, and thought she was too. then she finally believed me., not that she ever said that to me or mentioned it again.

One time ordered from Uber and the food strongly smelled like smoke I don't know how much the person smoked in their car but had to be the heaviest smoker from how its scent got into the food itself

@kiwaminight it's infested with worms. Can make the dog seriously ill and it means it needs to eat more simply to feed the worms that steal its food inside its body. Its extremely avoidable and treated, so for a dog to literally defecate a WHOLE worm means it is incredibly infested at the highest level. It's super unhealthy.
@@kiwaminight Cats and dogs can sometimes get worms that live in their guts. It is important to go to the vet to get meds for them or they will stay sick. The woman in the video is not caring for the dog in a safe way.

It's quite easy to get rid of usually, you can buy dewormer for quite cheap and it's a common store product, but if the dog is at the point of this it's been infested for a while and is definitely not doing well. The worm can also be passed between species, and while most aren't dangerous if treated properly they can get life threatening fast if they go through into the wrong areas of the body

I was in a car with a driver that started smoking meth, then 3 minutes later hit and run a bicyclist. I had him pull over so I could get out & he got all mad, calling me a pussy.
My only question is, why didn't you make him pull over as soon as he started smoking meth? Was that OK until he hit the cyclist? But it's pretty funny that the guy called you a pussy.

If this is true, and likely to happen again, definitely go to a hospital. Meth is one of the easiest substances to get a second-hand high from, as the vapours tend to hang around a lot longer.

But I forgot to mention how he tried to speed off from the wounded bicyclist. Twice.
