Trying candle painting for the first time

I tried candle painting with wax! ☁️🕯️ Here’s some cautions to take if you want to recreate! ❤️‍🩹 1) burning candles / tea lights can be a fire hazard so be careful with the surroundings you burn them in and dont touch the paint brush to the burning wick. 2) put the tea lights in suitable non-flammable holders, not directly onto a surface. They can get really hot, and potentially burn your table! 3) practice caution and be extra careful ❤️‍🩹

One trick to actually colour your wax is using coloured wax crayons. Just melt a small piece and paint away.

This is fun! And definitely safer, would not recommend painting on candles with acrylic- basically burning plastic and creating fumes, not healthy!! When I was little we got these sheets of colorful wax with paper attached on the back, got could cut out shapes and slightly warm the shape over a lit candle, really fun!! Thank you for reminding me of this project/ memories - might have to try your technique of using a brush 😊 🎨

I add dry flowers and herbs, and sometimes something shiny
