30 Minutes Workout - Virtual Scenery - Treadmill / Exercise Machine (Cotswolds UK) 1080/60fps

2016 ж. 27 Мау.
3 757 823 Рет қаралды

Treadmill? Exercise bike? Cross trainer? Rowing machine? Flying carpet? Beat the boredom with a virtual tour around the picturesque Hobbit Shires of Gloucester and the Cotswolds, while you work out for a full 30 minutes. SEE NOTES BELOW REGARDING SPEED...
The music was made by me and I acknowledge not to everyone's tastes, so do feel free to mute and use your own music :o)
(Best enjoyed at full 1080p @ 60 frames per second)
SPEED NOTES: I've had some feedback comments regarding the speed of the video not being "realistic" and not accurately representing running or walking. Before publishing, I experimented creating the video at various jogging or cycling speeds, but found with the slower speeds, the visuals got tedious very quickly.
In the end I settled for real-time driving speed which provides sufficient changes of scenery to keep the visuals interesting, bearing in mind most people will be using this video as a distraction from the tedium of exercise anyway. The faster speed also allows you to see much more of the area than you would do at slower speeds. :o)

  • Fighting off depression by trying to just get out of bed - this had the perfect amount of trees and beautiful countryside to make getting on my stationary bike actually worthwhile. Thank you SO MUCH for this. It's going to be a delightful habit... and I'm going to make it one by blogging about it. :) At first the speed felt a little hectic but then I made an effort to just enjoy it for what it was, and it turned out to be quite nice. Thank you again - now my brain is woken up enough to start studying for the day! :)

    • Hello! Have you tried reducing the playback speed? (The little gear icon at the bottom right of the screen). I've started a fitness and health channel focused towards those who are working through depression/anxiety. I'm actually trained in mathematics, believe it or not, with a second degree in psychology. I haven't quite found a place in society yet, so in the meantime I'm enjoying video editing. I'm still at the stage where I'm trying to figure out ways to improve my videos. I have a couple walking videos with hiking footage. And am looking into just posting the raw outdoor footage, something similar to this video. Check it out, you may like it. Stay strong. Also, I'd be interested in reading your blog, if it's public.

  • I used this video while on my exercise bike. I rode the whole video and instead of using my game app to wind down for the day, I hopped on the bike! Thank you for the inspiration, and beautiful scenery, to keep going even when the bike seat got uncomfortable.

  • Thanks for this video! I've been looking for something like this! Please produce more clips like this one. I love the English countryside and it's so motivating seeing everything while running in one's basement.

  • Thankyou so much for this. I get on my excerise bike in the morning and go for a ride round the cotswolds. It really does vastly improve a bit of a boring workout

  • I love this! Thank you, Rick Clarke for all your Cotswold videos. They are of a most beautiful world and I appreciate you sharing with those of us, who are not likely to ever get there. In this lifetime. As a consolation to know, we are in the very heart of Kentucky horse country, which is also beautiful enough that your Queen Elizabeth II visited us. I fell in total love with England reading Charles Dickens in my younger years. Nowadays, books aren't my only source of information to keep me in love....
