Dune was one o' best books i read as a child in the 70s. i respected the hell out o' Lynch's attempt to distill such a dense read into a couple o' hours when i saw it on screen; however i believe that Villeneuve can surpass that original awesome attempt. cannot wait !

Yah like they actually respected the lore of the franchise and didn't use the characters and movie name as a means to try and propagandize the audience with some social justice message nobody asked for and completely sh*ting on the fan nase when it turns out nobody - except the paid critics - liked the movie at all. The list of beloved IPs being destroyed in this manner is ever growing and growing. We need more people like the ones who did this movie to come back and save them. Really hope the soulless skin suit money grab franchise killers with the ungrateful narcissistic directors is just a phase and we can get back to the heart and the art of true filmmaking.

We Marvel fans have a rule of thumb. If you’re looking forward to a Marvel movie because of the cast, you’re not a Marvel fan, you’re a movie fan. There’s a reason the Eternals comic has always been canceled after only a few issues. It sucked.

I've been a Marvel fan since the 80s and read the comics from the 70s too as my dad was a huge fan. I'm looking forward to Eternals as I think the creativity can shine through more without the risk of pissing off the fans.

I honestly don't think Dwayne can play the stoic archetype. He's always cracking jokes and rarely comes off as serious. I would go with Jason Mamoa for the looks or Gerard Butler (he would need to get back into shape like when he played Leonidas in 300.)

@@CaptainDV Ok,hmm.Well,not all things have to be the same,as long the story telling is spot on and alike and the production value is as equally as good or better(which is most likely would be in this case here ) then that's an overall good remake or reboot. Furthermore, I have seen the classic one as well and I can conclude that the characters as a whole aren't that far apart either at the end of day.That's about it for a good "remake/reboot"-receipe,I suppose 🙂👍
Imagination with movies it's what we all need because our everyday reality is no longer an escape only living,we have forgotten that being ALIVE far outways just living,thank you to the wonderful people who jolt our senses of escapism and may movies take us to our special place where ever that may be.

Dune was one o' best books i read as a child in the 70s. i respected the hell out o' Lynch's attempt to distill such a dense read into a couple o' hours when i saw it on screen; however i believe that Villeneuve can surpass that original awesome attempt. cannot wait !

The new Ghostbusters movie looks like it is going to be really good.
Yah like they actually respected the lore of the franchise and didn't use the characters and movie name as a means to try and propagandize the audience with some social justice message nobody asked for and completely sh*ting on the fan nase when it turns out nobody - except the paid critics - liked the movie at all. The list of beloved IPs being destroyed in this manner is ever growing and growing. We need more people like the ones who did this movie to come back and save them. Really hope the soulless skin suit money grab franchise killers with the ungrateful narcissistic directors is just a phase and we can get back to the heart and the art of true filmmaking.

We Marvel fans have a rule of thumb. If you’re looking forward to a Marvel movie because of the cast, you’re not a Marvel fan, you’re a movie fan. There’s a reason the Eternals comic has always been canceled after only a few issues. It sucked.

I've been a Marvel fan since the 80s and read the comics from the 70s too as my dad was a huge fan. I'm looking forward to Eternals as I think the creativity can shine through more without the risk of pissing off the fans.
