They can somewhat but the ventilation holes on these lids make a huge difference over past lids I’ve had without the vent holes. I guess the science of steam / heat rising is inevitable on that one - but still better than metal lids with zero visibility in my opinion.

It really isn’t non stick though.
I agree. I prefer a true 100% nonstick pan for highly sensitive foods like fried eggs, but I have had great success searing meats and veggies with a touch of oil.
