Not widely known fact Louis is immensely popular in Russia, especially among dry-materialistic, atheist sceptical post-soviet generations, 37-50. My personal answer to that phenomenon is exactly what you are saying. Deep down Louis is a true contemporary guru, a philosopher, a spiritual guide and a voice of a common sense. Spirituality of being adequate.

I'm Japanese. So I don't say I understand everything he says. Sometime It's hard to understand the background of the jokes. But I always can hear his words very clearly and I even can laugh at his jokes most of all the times. It's not like this with other comic. His voice and words are always makes me laugh and calms me down at the same time. Love him.

Well, Google did the rest, and she didn't lie. Since that day, I'm one of his greatest abroad fans. "Most people are dead", is the best way I've ever heard to go ahead an start the show. He has the gift to say whatever he wants because he does not care/he is unnecessarily so accurate that you cannot fault him for saying or thinking it. Its perfect. His demeanor is so absolute and his inner thoughts are brilliantly put forth in this pure honest way. It's the smartest comedy for even stupid people(like me). I can't explain how much better he is then most anyone else I've ever seen bravely say whatever they want. Please believe me when I've seen or heard all the greats and CK is my favorite. I noticed the same and came to the comments to see whether anyone says something about it. I think it's because the time limit. He had to do the show in under 10 minutes or so and he just sped it up. If you watch carefully you can see that in the original show he does impressions and absurd situations waaay slower and gives the audience to grasp the atmosphere and the stupidity of the situation but here he just jumps to the next joke very fast. That's one and secondly, Canadian audience maybe is not very much involved with whole Louis ck thing and they werent excited enough

agreed. I find it weird that people often comment (complain) in standup clips across the board about the crowd. I think it's because they start to question their taste in humor when they are laughing way harder than the average or something. As long as the crowd isn't actively being rude/disruptive I could care less what they are doing. Most of these complainers would probably love the nflx sheslinger standup. So many "woo!" girls constantly cheering for her after totally empty remarks. I'm convinced they had a sign to indicate when to woo!... like they usually do for clapping.

John Johnson huge comedy festivals are often not great crowds because a lot of people are going because its an event, and not necessarily because its stand up. Though ive been to a couple JFL shows and the audio quality doesnt do the crowd justice (in my experience)

I think he's the greatest comic working today, and in a talented field of comics like there has rarely been. Bill Burr, Andrew Schulz, Anthony Jeselnek, Norm McDonald, and I would even say that David Spade was doing his best work on his show.
If you look at the crowd, they are half laughing half thinking. That is the mark of good comedy.

He has the gift to say whatever he wants because he does not care/he is unnecessarily so accurate that you cannot fault him for saying or thinking it. Its perfect. I noticed the same and came to the comments to see whether anyone says something about it. I think it's because the time limit. He had to do the show in under 10 minutes or so and he just sped it up. If you watch carefully you can see that in the original show he does impressions and absurd situations waaay slower and gives the audience to grasp the atmosphere and the stupidity of the situation but here he just jumps to the next joke very fast. That's one and secondly, Canadian audience maybe is not very much involved with whole Louis ck thing and they werent excited enough
