In this video I tell you how to use transfer spin to start making shots a lot easier. Knowing what opposite or transfer spin is and how to use it will help you win so many more games.
We all get a lot of frames where there's a tricky shot, but it's a key shot that if you get it you'll probably win. Using transfer spin on some of those shots will massively increase your chances of making the shot.
This video demonstrates 3 of those shots, but there are so many more.

With the last shot. I've watched videos where inside left on the cue ball is the way to play a shot along the rail to avoid it rattling in the jaw of the pocket. Thank you!
@archangel6832 Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Playing with any side on these shots helps as if the object ball has side on it when it hits the knuckle, it helps steer it in (certainly true on UK tables with the rounded knuckles - does it work on the square knuckles of US tables?). I think right spin is better if the ball hits the cushion first thoug as the ball doesn't spring away from the cushion 👍
Brilliant demo of the transfer spin. You explain it clearly and show how it should be done. Last example is a must to simplify potting down the cushion 🎉
Thanks my friend. I very rarely play a shot down a cushion without it. An absolute must if you ask me 😊
Great video and you explained it a lot easier than I have been to people. Definitely just subscribed
Thanks Chris. That's very nice of you to say. I appreciate the support 👍
I love how you don't waffle on, straight to the point! Subbed.
Thanks my friend. I think people waffle as you get more watch hours and more money from youtube. I'd rather just make something that hopefully people enjoy 👍
@@PoolTips101 I would love to see some content on using english for position.
@urangthetang Sure thing bro. I'll work something up 👍

I'll try anything to get people to watch 🤣🤣🤣
@@PoolTips101 this is actually a great idea to have them in your billiards cave. Makes you learn how to play.... under pressure... pressure...
Is that a table for ants? All jokes aside, great information for players looking to improve their game. As it relates to banks though, I would add that a harder hit bank can sharpen the angle, while a softer hit bank can widen the angle (in any instance where playing left of right hand english isn't the best option)
Hi Joe, thanks for watching and commenting. It's 7ft table, which is the standard UK size. I'm guessing by the terminology (bank shot) that you're from the US (sorry if that's wrong). I think you guys use 9ft tables? And you're absolutely right, you can square up the angle by hitting it harder too 👍
why not just use bottom on the bank. it shortens it by 1/3rd the diamond length and increases probability
I didn't know that. Unfortunately we don't have diamonds on the UK tables. Do you use them when calculating angles?
@@PoolTips101 yeah it's called the diamond system but a good way that you could figure this out is if you aimed from between the side pocket and the corner pocket halfway to the other side pocket so the angle you shoots the angle you get which is really close to the angle you're using in the video. Just try it with about a firm hit and a half tip bottom.
@Zigarius1123 thanks my dude 👍

Thanks my friend 👍
