Ronnie O’Sullivan On Needing An 8th Title, 147s & Walking Out VS Stephen

2023 ж. 27 Мам.

It's the one you've all been asking for. Ronnie O'Sullivan is on Cue Tips!
Ronnie joins Stephen to play some snooker and chat about everything from not making 147s, running, commentating whilst playing, feeling pressure and why he walked out on Stephen in their match-up in 2006. This is just a taster of what the pair talk about in this barnstormer of an episode, there's so much packed into this one. So settle down, sit back and enjoy. It doesn't get much bigger than this!

I've really enjoyed this series but this is the episode I've been waiting for. I love how Stephen gets his guests to really open up and be honest - "What happened when you walked out on me?" • In a way, Stephen Hendry could be the one compared to Woods I'm some ways. He completely dominated an era of snooker and barely anyone could come close, but his decline from the very top was quite a quick one in context of how dominate he was for an entire era. Ronnie has been having major success for decades, but not really dominated for multiples years at a time like Hendry did for a full decade. That's why I'd actually liken Hendry to Tiger Woods. When Hendry burst onto the scene, he was pretty much unlike anything people had scene, he was a winning machine and raised the bar.

  • Brilliant conversation. I am so glad I wandered into this series! Listening to two greats reminiscing, while playing snooker themselves, and discussing other players I've watched over the past few years is simply amazing. Two greats sharing memories, etc. and we can sense the mutual respect AND admiration. These two, along with Steve Davis from a previous conversation, are positive examples of sportsmanship!

Those two stand out ahead as the greatest winners and players that have ever lived. Behind them in no particular order are Steve Davis, Reardon, John Higgins, Selby and Williams. If the two worlds best players say it’s too hard, then any amateur is going to have zero confidence! Mind if that has been Ronnie’s practice table and under full concentration he pots every ball then you can see why he remains so good! Great job Stephen and Ronnie!
