James kicks off the show checking in with the Late Late Show team to see what they're up to for Valentine's Day before breaking down another day of impeachment proceedings for Donald Trump. After, the group begins to plan a big trip to Las Vegas once it's safe. And a chicken strip takes the studio by storm.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

  • Having the crew be able to join in with commentary and their own jokes is hilarious and genius,, I really hope the show stays like this even if they have an audience again

    • I agree. I only began watching this once the pandemic began but the interactions are exactly what makes this so entertaining. Do you know why Ian isn't on there anymore? He was the funniest guy on set.

    • Agree so much!!! Their repoire is glorious and sublime. The show was funny with an audience and the guest interaction, but this is more interesting. I am always waiting to see where the conversation is going to go.

    • Yep, the first time I thought the show was really funny, was when they started filming it in his garage and they we're all cutting on each other in a very subtle way, and cutting on each other in a way that they had to pay attention to what each other was saying to really catch it. They were also making jokes in a very self-deprecating way, really cutting on themselves and how they produce their own show, willing to point out their own flaws, their own mistakes, their own shortcomings, their own Hang-Ups. I guess when they got honest about what they were doing and didn't try to hide all, "the warts," as they say, that's when I started to think the show was really funny. They didn't do that before, from what I saw and remember. They definitely should keep the interplay between all of them going, because I think that'll be even better with an audience around them. That's sometimes the issue, for the writers, is some of them are good writers, but they aren't good performers in front of an audience, At least having done this, it will give them some experience, and maybe the confidence, to be doing this with an audience present. They have to try it, at the least.

    • I love this show's format now, so they've gone up on my favorites list. I'd say Stephen Colbert's the best, and that Seth Meyers and James Corden are pretty much an equal second for me. Fallon used to be the worst, but he's earned a fair third place with their new format. Now Kimmel is dead last. Conan O'Brien is *THE KING* of late night, sucks that he got screwed over so bad by NBC. His show on TBS is very good, but I truly believe that if he didn't get so massively screwed over by NBC, ugly ass Leno and Fallon who lacked severe integeity in that whole situation. So to me, Conan will ALWAYS be the king of late night. He's so original, coming up with great ideas constantly and had the best guests. He didn't deserve go get screwed over like that at all, he's such a champ. I loved The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and he's such a legend, but I love Trevor Noah as well very much. I like that he was handed the show by Stewart himself, Stewart truly has an eye for pure talent. They're both absolutely amazing in their own way. John Oliver is amazing too, but neither Conan O'Brien, John Oliver or Trevor Noah are late night-hosts. If I were to include those anyway, I'd say Conan is a well deserved first place, both Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah is a good second (I just can't decide, neither Noah or Colbert deserves third place, so a shared second is fair), John Oliver as third, then Seth Meyers and James Corden goes in on a strong fourth place, while Kimmel and Fallon pretty much share last place. At the moment Fallon lays in fifth place while Kimmel is dead last at sixth place. So yeah, that's my list. Hehh.. I feel like that's pretty spot on - I've watched all of them for years now, so this is a well "educated" personal opinion.
