James said they couldn’t because he understood how much of a financial challenge something like this is, even the little 15lbs bots cost multiple thousands of dollars. • Completely Awesome!! Making the AI smarter and more autonomous would be a must. It would be so cool if it could actually predict things look at what It's best angle of attack is and plan. Making a neural network that sophisticated though would be very difficult and I don't think you all have the training data and you would need a more powerful computer. But making it smarter is definitely what should happen in some form or another.

  • Its cool to just see the behind the scenes! It really shows that despite how many precautions the bots have, everything that can go wrong probably will go wrong. There are some things that just can't be prevented, but its amazing to see how you fix everything and figure out what needs to get done! It all shows the complexity of the bots more than the fights do. These are machines that took tens or hundreds of hours just to design, and they're so complicated that something is almost guaranteed to go wrong, but it also shows the preparation of the team, who was always prepared to fix whatever issue popped up.

  • Awesome performance from everyone involved. And seeing behind the scenes- the sheer cost of everything, repairs included- made me want your opponent to stop when they were down. But they kept trying to get one more hit in, even while upside down- so more strikes were needed. And the little bot was dogged and determined but ultimately was sent flying away in tatters. Truly a tense match and I'm glad you got a winners pog!

  • The amount of dedication you guys put into building and improving Orbitron is insane- props to everyone involved. I'll be rooting for Orbitron in the next season of BattleBots, and it would be incredible to see these improvements for future fights: 1. Make sure that both weapons spin up quickly at the start of the fight. In the second fight against Disarray, only one of them spun up at the very start. 2. Forks on both ends of Orbitron should be implemented when fighting against verts. 3. An A.I. mode which allows Orbitron to face it's weapon against the opponent when the opponent is circling Orbitron, and a KILL button which allows Orbitron to attack the opponent based on their predicted circular movement. 4. A.I. mode which allows the driver to input certain points of weakness in the opponent's bot- for example, the rear of the robot, which Orbitron prioritises when KILL mode is activated.

    • A note on number 2: If they can get around their enemy bot properly then playing the ground game shouldn't be as big an issue. I know Witch Doctor commonly uses the maneuverability that comes with a lack of ground game to get around their opponents and Orbitron is designed to move around enemy bots and strike them from weak spots
