Hi, I have this order recently but the DP is not working. Can you make a video of properly updating this unit bios I have 1.05 and latest is 1.07 but I have seen forums saying bios update bricked this unit.
Dude you're spot on! I love this video. I've been screaming this from the roof tops for a while as these little machines keep getting faster and more powerful year after year. It's crazy what you can get in comparison to what it would have cost years ago or with other Companies.
I love how small they are but they seem compromised by insufficient cooling.

Yes! I knew someone will have the Over Heating Ram on the older 6800/7735hs heating issues. I had to installed 120mm fan (replacing the bottom cover)to keep the heat minimum.
My Xeon home lab cost me like $200 with a GPU. I'll buy one of these used in 10 years for like 150 bucks.
I know everyone always tests these by playing games. Yet, imo these are more suited for personal home lab servers. The M5 Pro I have can hold 64gb RAM(Probably 96 really) and 8tb storage. I have mine setup as vm server/home cloud. Anytime I want to run AI scripts I can open a container to use vgpu for faster computing.
35watts is the sweet spot for this mini pcs. Had a Gmktec k1 with ryzen 6800h which was incredible noisy even at idle. Sold it and buy a beelink ser5 ryzen 5560u, amazing and extremely quiet even full load at 25w but lack some performance. Sold it and bought a Bosgame H66 with ryzen 6600h at 35w via bios and is the perfect melt of much more performance than ser5 but much less noise than Gmktec K1. It is extremely quiet at ser5 level while playing spiderman remastered at 1080p FSR balance at 45fps average. You have to check Bosgame brand, it looks better purchase than Beelink (same azw company).

Is there any fanless passive cooled small PC with 8845HS or 7845HS out there? 8:05 I did the same with my 5600G. I disabled the Turbo and now its 11% slower and needs 42 instead of 78W. 10:50 I would prefer FSR 2 at Balanced settings. It will perform same and will look better.

I just wish someone would make a Ryzen mini PC with built in power supply instead of external power brick.
unfortunately the external brick is the reason it can be so small. it's kinda a cop-out from the manufacturers but at least the bricks are easy to hide with a cable management basket underneath a desk. If you want internal power, you would be better off building an APU ITX PC with a case that uses a flex PSU or HDPLEX PSU. It will be a bit bigger of course but you do also get the added benefit of being able to use XMP/DOCP RAM so the APU will be able to perform better than what is on Mini PCs.
Both gmk tec pcs I bought had faulty ram. Never again.

I really want an AM5 socketed version of AMD MI300A and without gimping pcie lanes too much (so 24-32 pcie lanes) Just imagine 16 zen4c (so ONE CCX) + 48-240CU (ie 16-80 cu per GCX) and thats all in an AM5 socket. So essentially you get a 6090 + 9950x3d in a 300W apu And it would be the size of a GPU so imagine the VUP13P fpga, but not hbm rather LPCAMM on the back (the larger one) Ofc the mini pc version would be 8 cores + 40cu or something

@@annebokma4637 but what I proposed isnt even unrealistic, ok maybe threadripper socket rather than am5, but a scaled down mi300a using ddr5, and consuming 75-150w on a "gpu" sized motherboard... that would sell insanely well, heck it would be a 4090 competitor, and they could charge $2k for a "gpu" which actually is an entire pc but 20-30% the energy
@@user-lp5wb2rb3v on threadripper I agree it would be doable (or at least close to doable) and nice. But on am5 the limited PCIe lanes and memory channels would make a large on package memory allocation necessary and that would make it too expensive. Better on threadripper where people expect to pay more Anyway

It still boggles me that all reviewers say good things about this unit, where the one I bought came malfunctioning.
what issue did you run into? so far the one they sent me has had no issues but thats a sample size of one coming directly from the company.
Any low power mini PC that is loud is badly designed. Next!
