Hey Cory. Can you do a video on the aqaurium hobby's impact on species of plants and animals
@@kevinzhou6925 scheduled upload.
I did buy it and it came with no instructions or perimeters. Is this video it?
Hi from the UK. New sub. Happy new year. I wonder if you have any use for de shelling your eggs. I used to do this years ago when breeding various marine fish. We had some problems with fry eating egg shells and getting a gut impaction and dying reducing our survival rates. We would soak the eggs in bleach until the shells dissolved then neutralise the bleach with sodium thiosulfate. Then hatch as normal. Voila no shells. Just inner membrane. Anyway, I thought I would share as the information may help some body. Or perhaps a subject for a video.
4am learning to hatch brineshrimp
ROFL 😅😅 🤣 it's 4.20 am right now ...
omg
This made me giggle when I read it at 4am 😆😭
😅😂
2 am
In my next life, please don’t let me be a brine shrimp. 😂
Since you brought it up tell me why you'd want to come back...
I don’t plan on hatching my own brine shrimp but I still watched this whole video 😂 you make everything sound so interesting and easy to follow
same here.. XD
If you sell the lights, the pump , the ziss hatcheries, airline tube, no-drip baster and eggs... you should sell it all as a kit.
We don't sell the light or baster yet. Trust me, I'm working on it, just want to make sure the products are top quality ;)
Probably a silly question but do you ship overseas? Specifically, Australia?
Some people just want to buy it separately tho.
@@DBT1007 I think they're saying it should be an option not that they'd have to buy all the parts
@@AquariumCoop so your comment is 7mo old just checking in; do you sell the kit yet
Not gonna lie, I only have two tanks and am tempted to give this a shot.
Go for it. I have one tank and grow brine and copopods, and rotifers. Live food is always better than frozen or dried hahha
It's super easy. I raise baby axolotls and they eat bbs
You don't have to buy that 44 dollar piece of plastic though. Make one out of a two liter bottle.
@@fujoshii_x Amen, I actually got 4 glass bottles from hobby lobby. They are a 2 litter bottle essentials but the bottom allows for good flow and has no spot for stuff to settle. Plus got them 75 percent off. Gotta love those wacky sales they have.
I am such a newbie I would never have the ability or have the need to do this yet, but I still enjoy watching. No wonder people get sucked into this hobby... there’s so much to learn and so many different cool aspects to fish keeping
Thank you so much for making this video! I just ordered some brine shrimp from the COOP and I was putting off hatching them. Thank you! Also, It's so good to see Jimmy and you back together! You guys (and Dean!) are my favorite to watch together!
Good timing. I just got up early so I could watch a instructional on how to use my new hatchery to start a load of brine for my first time. I THANK YOU so much Corey and the co op team. That was awesome.
I was looking into doing brine shrimp this past week, and like a mind Jedi, here you are. 🤣
Same xD
Me too!!! Glad we're all on the same page lol.
Ordered two after seeing the hatchers in earlier videos and have been waiting for this video. All the real user advice is great for people that haven't hatched bbs before.
We got this hatchery as a much appreciated gift from Meow Aquatics! 🤗 So glad you made this tutorial because we had no clue how to use it properly! Thanks so much Meow Aquatics and Cory !
Definitely on my wishlist once my fishroom is up and running. Thanks for the walk through of the process! 👍
My family watches your channel frequently and love your approach to teaching. You and Master breeder Dean are awesome! Thanks for all you do
Sounds like I need to start raising brine shrimp. Thank you for the informative video Cory.
Loving the Sunday videos! Always informative! Thanks for all you do!
Just started my brine shrimp journey. Thanks Cory and team for making everything so easy! You're all the best!
Just got back into running a 120 ltr cube tank after 10 years away, I find your video’s fantastic .Very helpful👍😊
I plan on setting my brine shrimp hatchery this weekend! I'm so excited! Thanks for the video, Cory!
Awesome!! Because of these kinda videos my hobby just gets better and better. Keep on the good work Cory!
Questions answered 🎯 loved this video, Cory, thanks so much!!!
I have never done this, but after watching... I will definitely try it. Thanks for expanding my knowledge!!
Definitely on my "wish" list, I am using a homemade one now, and it is a real pain!! Always fun to watch your videos!
Love this hatchery! Add some tubing to the spout makes it easier when collecting!
I loved the quick video pre-cap on this!
Nice to have a brine shrimp video that has good substance, not just an unboxing. Thanks!
Thank you for providing exceptional quality in your brine shrimp eggs. As you stated, 90% or greater hatched and my fish love them!
Been hatching out the coop eggs and fry are booming! The separation of shrimp and shell has been great to work with. Testing against other eggs to show the difference.
Just inspired me to setup a brine Hatcher. Great info! Love the vid!
Thank you, Cory. As always you are a fount of knowledge.
Thank you very much for the thorough video instructions and tips for success! Just ordered mine last night and should be all set to hatch next week. Happy fishies and fry coming soon!
Your videos are the best thing ever! Learned so much from you, thanks Cory!
Thanks, best video I've seen on this, and your tank room is amazing.
I have learned so much from these videos! Now we have 2 10 gallon tanks and a 29 gal all planted. I appreciate these videos so much
You make it look easy so I may have to try it . Thanks for another great video lesson .
This is awesome! Thanks for all the helpful tips!!!
Loved this video. Making it easier to get into hatching BB.
I’m excited for this one thanks for all the inspiration. Your videos are amazing 🤩
Another great Aquarium Co.Op video always very informative!!
Thanks, Cory, my Guppies just had babies and needed this info.
Thanks for the insights Cory!
May have to try this on a smaller scale. Thanks for the really useful tips and tricks to get me going. 👍
Thanks for all the info you giving us
Ordered the hatchery, easy brine shrimp salt and aquarium co-op premium brine shrimp eggs. It exceeded my expectations! Only took about 20 hours to hatch and the yield was fantastic! Hatched eggs floated on top and collection was a breeze, clean-up was simple and the second batch was ready to go in minutes. Aquarium co-op has never let me down, everything I buy from these guys is as advertised.
perfectly explained vid as always, thanks!
Best demonstration ever..definitely something to try
Just for your information, Light is required for two reasons. Firstly its acts like a trigger to all the eggs to hatch and you will see the time range reduces for the hatch, ost of the eggs will hatch the same time, Secondly THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON WHY LIGHT IS REQUIRED is because the brine shrimp will synthesize protein when they are rehydrated and exposed to light, atleast inital six hrs of light exposure is required so that you can have the nauplii with a high protein content. Hope this helps Regards Aquadisc Oceans
Thanks for the video! I feel a lot more confident I could do this now!
This is fascinating! Thanks Cory!
Cory, you make great videos! Keep up the excellent work! I am excited to see more on these products your testing out!! Maybe sell a whole kit once you perfect it!!
Love the tip about adding the airline tubing!
I like how you make the video great to watch and easy for beginners. What a great product.
Just had a fry-splosion in my guppy tank great timing for this video.
Thanks for the videos! Very informative and inspiring!
Thanks for making the hatching easy peasy. All the tanks are loving their baby brines! Perfect timing too. Brichardi just spawned. aha moment- airline tubing extension. Aquarium Co-op - educating the world one aquarist at a time.
I like how Jimmy cut up some footage and used "theme song" type of music for the intro! I'm sure people will find it silly, but I thought the best tip was the no drip turkey baster. I didn't know that was a thing to be honest.
YASSSS! Silly to some perhaps. Me? Dooood! Life changing info 😉👍 Lol thanks Corey! Sure do appreciate cha
I thought the intro absolutely hilarious and so good!!!!! I didn't even know non-drip basters existed. The more you know!
I just started watching your videos! Already a fan of your work
I have 2 of the Ziss hatcherys and really like them. I use a piece of air line tubing in the drain spout to extend it and make it easier to drain the LBB into the container.
Great explanation as always Cory!!
Cory is looking a lot slimmer!! Keep rocking it bud!!
You make fish hobby enjoyable.. thank you..
kudos to you Aquarium Co-op!! Here in the Philippines we usually have an outside setup. But were using a warm water that is bearable and mixed with salt and put them on cut 1.5plastic bottle and with the aerator. We hatched 18hrs to 24hrs depending on the brand of the BBS. Its simple and effective. Again kudos!
Darn - your "how to" videos always make me want to buy something from your store! Thanks.
Just started with my ziss hatchery all working good so far.loved the video.
Great video. I’ve been using the Ziss blenders for a while. Learned a few new tips and pointers from you today. Thanks.
Maybe one day I will have enough fish and be breeding some fish to justify setting up a brine shrink hatchery but as of right now this is just informational for me. Solid video.
Thats a great deal, and I watch you every day. I just lo0ve to watch Dean and his stories. Im going to get the brine shrimp hatchary thanks.
Once again you have made a great informational video. Takes the guess work out, don't have to hunt through dozens of videos to piece it all together. Thanks Cory.
I learned so much and I will be using this information in the future!!!
I struggled so hard to hatch brine shrimp for my fish before I saw this video. Just got my equipment setup today. I can't wait for the first hatch to finish. Thanks for all of the help.
Cory and his whole team are so awesome!!!!!
This is the most efficient and effective method for this process. Can't wait to get some ziss hatcheries instead of the normal plastic bottle I use. There really convenient and easy to work with.
Really glad I watched this. I have been using twice as much salt as I need.
Ty for the help. was looking to get into brine shrimp and this video helpt me alot.
I have recently been using that Fritz RPM (Reef Pro Mix). I have been keeping fish over 50 years now, and have used many brands of salt, and I really like the RPN. It tends not to clump when you store it, although keeping humidity away from the mix is important. It dissolves very quickly. I'm using it for my reef tanks, brackish tanks, and for hatching brine shrimp.👍
Thank you very much for your great deep explanation
I'm running two old school 2 liter setups. I really like this setup.
Love the channel! Always great information!
Your brine shrimp eggs are the best. Tried several sources and they are all subpar. Ordering more tomorrow!!
Great video Cory! I'll have to pick up some BBS stuff from the Co-op in my next order!
Very informative! Thanks Cory! I'm wanting to order a few of those 2 liter hatcheries....
I'm digging the little funny intro definitely gives a nice touch
Thanks for the great information!
Thanks for the tips.
Thank you. This was super helpful.
that was a lovely intro, keep the good stuff coming!
You've been a huge help. I had to opt for a 25W aquarium heater (Ran into the issue of the plugin and temp adjuster not fitting, so I pulled a warranty no-no and cut the cord and rewired it...working like a charm so far... but again, I don't advise that unless you're an electrician or an electrical engineer). Was one of those pesky 7 internal wire cords, easily could have killed the unit. The one thing I have to dispute is that an incandescent lightbulb is a "cheap" heater, maybe in the cost of the lightbulb, but power costs and the annoyance of constant adjustments quickly overpowers any price advantage. With the exception of heating, fish keeping is a fairly low-power hobby for most. I came from raising tilapia in Wisconsin winters and it was ridiculous - I invested into ice fishing instead. Didn't add the little bit of line to my air tube, but I will when I clean the Ziss out (have to make minor adjustments to the heater cord so it stayed centered anyways), but luckily I did order some of your tubing and honestly, I love it just because you were smart enough to use quality black tubing with stretch, it's the best I have worked with so far. That said, I should see mine hatch in some odd hours - I learned goldfish have teeth in the back of their throats while researching brine shrimp... I never would have guessed, but it explains a lot.
Already wanted the Ziss hatchery and your Brine Shrimp eggs from watching previous videos. Still can't quite justify the expense since I only have a few tanks. I'm very close though. Wanting to raise Daphnia too, so we'll see! Love the Forum references. Get me thinking they'll send more folks to drop in and see how great that is. A most amazing resource for information and kind fish folks. Really a Fish Folks Family. Thank you Cory for this video which was extremely well done, but a very Big Thanks for all you do to build Community! You are setting such a fine example. We appreciate you more than you know or would ever believe.
forgot to say, even if I didn't want/need brine shrimp eggs, I'd want that can! I guess it's the simple, little things. Def be more of a reuse than a recycle in my world.
FishFam Service Announcement: A Aquarium Co-Op video a day helps keep the Fish police away
Lol, yes!
Does it keep the tang police away
Great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Keep up the great work Cory!
Added to my list of things I need to buy and do, lol. Great video 😀
Great video. You are always teaching.
Been using one of these for a few weeks now, my only complaint was the rigid airline tube was a little short. One of those how did I not think of that moments. Add flex tube to it!! Need a drip less turkey baster as well. Great product and video 👍
I've started growing daphnia and I'm enjoying feeding live food to my fish. I've heard you and Dean discuss feeding baby brine so many times but it always seemed like too much unless you have a big fish room but this video definitely shows how it can be possible for smaller scale too. But you really need to get a sieve available for use for us small time hobbyists. If I only want to hatch a small amount of shrimp eggs I will still have 2 liters of water and all that salt mixed with it so separating the shrimp from the hatch brine would become very important if I only had a couple of tanks I want to put it in.
I wonder if cheesecloth would work? I bet nylon stockings would too. That's my vote, nylon stockings.
I plan on getting one of these eventually thanks for the info
Great video! Love jimmy being back.
Thanks for the vid I loved it and have watched all your videos keep up the great work
Really got me motivated to start brine shrimp!
Will test this for sure, thanks!
