What’s the point of Sunak? Sunak’s not even offering a plan. And what’s really unsettling is that he regard’s the office of Prime Minister as a job not an office of state an occupation to be revered and honoured. Fought for and embellished. You can’t get any higher in a job as PM?

You're right - Trevor Phillips is a crap interviewer. There were so many interventions, corrections and accusations that he could have shot at Sunak. Meanwhile "Head-boy at Winchester" was affronted that a pleb could ever make a comment that didn't sound like a besotted housemaster's report - "Oh the little darling is doing so well in his Latin grammar ...".
Trevor Phillips can't challenge him because he lacks the facts and statistics to do so. Sunak is easy prey if you know your facts and hammer him for straight answers.

Well said 👏 He should have been asked, "WHY is hard for everyone? Oh, that's right, because of YOUR shambolic government". Tories like to claim that "the economy is doing really well". They should always be asked, "for whom? Please be specific". We should always remember that politicians from any party are answerable to the citizens of this country. I do not want to give Sunak tips but if he lost the petulant tone in the answer to the first question shown in the video it could have been a very serviceable answer. Sunak has had a life where he has not really been challenged by the world.
