I saw this when I was about 15 or so and thought it was hilarious then, but I have a whole different appreciation for it now. Marilu was so amazing in the role.

- Because it’s brilliant but under-appreciated. I’m always surprised when people haven’t heard of it. Unless they’re children. And even then - what else are their parents depriving them of?

- @@cargo71 It has it all and more in a comedy - so well done. And it turns 40 😱 in 2024. I wish there were a way to reintroduce it to the world on its anniversary and attract new fans. It's aged really well.

Does anybody know the name of the composer of this song? I'm wanting to do a cover, but searching for info on the song only brings up "This is the Life" by Weird Al. Ultimately I'd love a lead sheet/chord progression as well, but i'd at least like to credit the composer properly even if i have to figure the dam thing out by ear.
