    • The 16 year old version of my ex girlfriend loved rent free in my head for over 20 years. We dated for over a year until I went to college. I came home for my Christmas break and she didn’t talk to me for a month. I broke up with her and 6 months later she had sex with my best friend (and did some stuff with another guy that was one of my best friends before that) All these years later she’s never once apologized for what she did or explained why she stopped talking to me. She’s moved on, gotten married and had kids, all with never acknowledging her past self. Point is: heartbreak from the last may never have a reason or explanation. Don’t let someone else’s choices and behavior define your self worth. I’m sorry you’ve been heartbroken and I honor that, but please don’t spend another second thinking you weren’t good enough. She may have issues she doesn’t understand or want to admit about herself. Don’t let that define you.
