“With long period of Scar, Agony, and many thoughts, I still Stay In Memory” (translation of text in MV)
World famous composer and pianist “Yiruma” releases his 7th album [Stay in Memory]. Since it has been 4 years from Yiruma’s last studio album, he composed beautiful piano solo pieces which fans have been waiting for. The album features 12 beautiful and brand new instrumental music by Yiruma.

    • He may never return to you but one day you will return to him. My father passed away less than 12 hours ago but I know he is still with me and even though, God willing, it will be many years before I see him again, I know I will. Peace be with you.

    • 딴지는 아니지만, 일단 곡을 만들어놓고 적당한 제목을 찾는 식의 패러다임이라면 이건희님의 해석이 틀렸던 것일지도요.ㅎㅎㅎ 기억에 머무르다..라는 개념을 선율화하는것.......... 그당시의 어떤 악상 그자체를 표현하여 선율화했는데 적당한 제목을 고민한 결과 ...기억에 머무르다를 떠올려 표제로 삼은 것.... 뭐 어떤 쪽이였을지 우린 모르죠..ㅎㅎㅎ

    • The setting of the video screams 5 centimeters per second to me.... Since in one interview Yiruma said that he recalls memories of the past including those about his ex-lovers in composing his music, so I guess he fell in love with a girl from Japan in the past. Thus the melancholic music accompanied by locations shot in Japan for the music video..... Or the whole music video itself was just paying homage to the said animated movie (5CPS). Or maybe the music video's creators find trains in Japan as a symbol of the constant changes in life. Those are just my thoughts... Although it kinda sounds like Joe Hisaishi's One Summer's Day (Inochi no Namae/The Name of Life)....

    • +jokers oblivion I was mainly talking about the musical resemblance. It's based on a very similar chord progression and melody to One Summers Day. Could be a coincidence, or it could have been inspired, it's something I just happened to recognize.

  • 딱 거의 10년 전 나 고등학교 생활할 때 많이 들으며 위로 받았던 곡. 삶에 치여 살다가 정말 어렴풋이, 우연히, 생각나서 검색해서 들어와 들어보는데 여전히 좋으면서 고등학생의 나, 또 지금의 나의 감정이 뒤섞이면서 오묘한 감정이 드네요. 삶이란게 참 그래요.. 말로 표현을 못하겠어요. 삶이란게 이런거죠 뭐.....

  • 유치원에서 낮잠을 잘때 들었는지, 오랫동안 제 기억속에 희미하게 머물러 있었어요. 이제는 노래 속에 있는 제 기억을 들춰보고싶을때마다 듣고있어요. 놀이터에서 그네를 타고 날아가려 했던 것, 물총에 계속 맞기만 해 서러움에 울었던 것, 맛있는 간식이 나와 행복했던 것... 힘들때마다 이 노래를 들으면서 그립지만 돌아갈수 없는, 그렇지만 행복한 그때의 기억에 잠깐 머무르고 싶을때 이 노래가 저를 그 곳으로 보내주는 것 같아요. 좋은 노래를 만들어주셔서 감사합니다 🙏 ( + 이 영상의 700번째 댓글에 제 행복을 기록하게 해주셔서 또 한번 감사해요 🥰 )

  • This is one of my favorite Yiruma pieces - it is so soothing. I recently went to his concert in Hollywood, CA., at the Dolby Theater. This song was on the line up. Before he began to play the song he mentioned what inspired him to compose this piece. His father in law had just passed away, and he was in a time of grief. So, the song is indeed very bittersweet. Stay in memory...

  • This song used to get me all emotional, thinking of the people that I’ve lost in this life. And once again lost one today. I can’t help but think of the only one grandma that was so dear to me, she passed away today, you’ll always stay in my memory nana, I love you so much. This piece is so bittersweet, I know this is for the best and you passed away because it was getting too painful, at least you’re resting now, but it’s so unfair on how things could’ve gone better...   • It seems a lot of people are becoming confused by the music video, What I think people need to remember is the music video is another artists interpretation of Yiruma's song. Yiruma is Korean but the music video creator could be Japanese which is why he set it in Japan.

  • 좋고 나쁜, 모든 기억들에 머물러 다시금 생각하게 만들어요. 사람들에 대한 용서도 내가 했었던 행동들에 대한 후회도 이 모든감정들이 격해지지만 지금의 시간에 웃을 수 있으니 서서히 그때의 그 감정들을 모두 제자리로 돌려놓게 해줘요. 저도 다른분들도 말로는 다 표현할 수 없는데도 귀로 듣고 마음이 다 알고 있을 것 같아요.
