The Earth Friendly Green cover says it is a Hybrid....100HP to150HP on the electric side making it 600HP to 650HP in total on the 5.0L, with better MPGs. My real hope is for a N/A Godzilla motor in it

You can order a new S650 Mustang with up to 810 horsepower when you order the FP800S option that's covered by a Ford's factory warranty. Basically you order your new S650 Mustang while adding the $9995 FP800S package. The ones I've seen includes a FP800S decal along the front lower rockers while those Mustangs were ordered with optional cream trimmed Recaro seats.
For a $9995 option, frankly that's a helluva good deal for a factory warrantied 300+ HP increase and unique interior/wheels etc. I did not know it was less than 10k for FP800s. You would be hard pressed to do that DIY for that same money, and of course no warranty. Thank you for pointing that out!

My guess is a hybrid AWD mustang. Not sure on the motor. Maybe a 3.6L TT?

If I recall, there was an article that Ford wasn’t planning on making a hybrid system of the S650 Mustang. So I don’t know what this could be but I might be wrong, hybrid makes alot of sense.
My doubt, but yet my hope, is that it is a hybrid like the E-Ray.

If they aren’t going to do a mid-rear engine, perhaps they can put the transaxle back there. I’d love to see them get away from their boxy designs.
Ford dont got the balls to do a mass produced mid engine design. Go Chevy for that.
I am 72/owned GTs/Loved Bullits, but 🤔 Green Hornet sounds a real good fit!

I have a 2011 gt500 and not thrilled enough to buy newer mustang it is great and a big dream for me. The GTD is awesome but the price! Would be scared to drive it and have a wreck. So what do I do,,ordered FFR Daytona coupe to build and have fun in.
I'm just trying to figure out if this is a new model, or if it's a new s650 varient. We don't really have evidence going one way or the other. If it's a new model, like a mustang sedan or mid engine mustang, that's gonna be sick. It's gonna be cool either way, but especially if it's a new member of the mustang family rather than just a varient.

I am 100% thinking this is going to be a hybrid AWD version of the S650. It would make a lot of sense because they were rumored to have been working on a hybrid version during S650 development. Now if they brought that out to compete with the E-Ray that's frikin' amazing. Imagine the front wheels powered by electric motors from an updated AWD transmission and the rear axle driven by the Coyote V8 or even better an ECO boost variant, 40+ MPG mustang with combined approx. 450-500HP and AWD. That thing will rip and I think would sell pretty well. Hope they reveal it soon!!
Rumors of a New BOSS are also floating around, to come back to the stable! With the 7.3L it could be tweaked from 445in.³ to a 429 BOSS! The only original BOSS that hasn’t been resurrected… since the ‘12-‘13 BOSS 302! We all remember the Mustang test mule, that had the funny hood bulge with the 7.3L ….with the upturned factory F250 truck intake! It’s either that… or a hybrid I believe.

Honestly that Colour reminds me the green of s197 boss 302 maybe a s650 boss 302 more power better handling aero etc. Or it could be Boss 302 hybrid with that powerboost hybrid from the f150 maybe more powerful version and 600hp somewhere round there maybe
Remember, the GT had less power than the GT500 and a V6, but it’s still a much better car to drive at a track. The GTD may not have the most power in this Mustang lineup. A 5.4L 8000 RPM Coyote could be in the works for the Shelby models, considering a 5.4L Coyote powers all of their Mustang race cars. Another thing could be possible: a Boss 429 with a DOHC aluminum block destroked Megazilla. It would not be hard to crank that to a thousand horsepower on 10 boost psi.
If it is a Bullitt, it would be the first one to be offered with a spoiler. They never come with spoilers. Also, there was never a Foxbody Bullitt, but that would be pretty cool. SN95 New Edge, S197s and S550s all had a Bullitt model. My money is on a hybrid.

You are rightl It's definitely not a GT500. Ford keeps saying that they are not bringing out the GT500 until near the end of 2025 as a 2026 model year. My wild guess is that it is a turbo charged or supercharged Dark Horse at around 700HP. I also think the '26 GT500 will be around 1,000HP. JoAnn

Foxbody Mustangs did not have a Bullet Mustang. The SN-95/ New Edge had the Bullet.

Hybrid? Doubt it since they canceled the hybrid models before they unveiled the s650 but i could be wrong because the E ray is impressive. 7.3, seriously? People who think that are living in a fantasy. If the F150 didn't get it, matter of fact if the racecar variants of the mustang aren't getting then what makes you think a road legal production car will get it let alone a shelby model? A GT500? Thats my guess. Some people say the return of the Terminator and it could be but, the GT500 has more heritage to it so it'll most likely be that. I'll even say a boss 302 or a mach 1 but for another performance version of the 5.0 to exist, the Dark Horse has to go away which i doubt will happen. So I'll go ahead and even throw the Bullitt in there since its always been more of an appearance pack.
