The middle piece. Like this ---> #*# the hashtags are the correct pieces the star is the missing edge piece. HOW DO YOU FIX THAT??!?!

The second time I wasn't so lucky and I hit all of the parity problems which resulted me to search online for help. This is my THIRD time I have had to do this (the first two times were the 3x3 and 4x4), and I just wanted to say that all 3 of my cube frustrations have been solved by your videos. I've tried a lot of other videos and they aren't as well spoken and patient in their videos. Every time I end up on your channel and your explanations are flawless. Thanks!!

    @PowerPandaMods@PowerPandaMods Жыл бұрын
    • Check this little trick I picked up from a 4x4 tutorial. The alg for the side edge pieces, R U R' F R' F' R (7 moves) can be reduced to 3 moves! R 4Bwz' R. To effectuate the 2nd move I hold the front face with my right thumb and forefinger and turn the back 4 block clockwise from my perspective 90° with my left hand. Works a treat and speeds up the whole process immensely. Caveat: does not work for the last slice/flip edge moves. Just revert to standard alg for this.

    • @@christiandiaz6151 if you are planning to solve the 4x4, just remember it is not much harder than the 3x3, it just looks intimidating to beginners mainly because not only do you have to pair the centers yourself, but you also have to worry about having 8 edge pieces on each side. Even though all of this seems scary to solve, just remember that you can do anything you set your mind too, and it's as simple as just getting used to the cube, and learn algorithms. I would also recommend having a way to look at the algorithms so that you can practice to the point where you can remember it. I know a lot of people might tell you it is "too difficult," but really it is because they don't put any effort in it. If you figure out how to solve it, reply and tell me if this reply helped or not! EDIT: I just realized the reply was 4 years ago, so you might already know how to solve it

The 2x2 uses the exact same solve method and algorithms as the 3x3, just less steps because there are no middle edge pieces. So basically solve the top layer then go right into solving the bottom layer however you do that.

  • ATTENTION!: If you can solve a 4x4, I found a trick that makes the first 4 minutes of this video redundant. Use the normal 4x4 permutation algorithm that is used to solve the 4x4 centers to solve the 5x5 center corners. Once you have all the centers of the 5x5 looking like Xs, use the pattern that he describes at: 3:08 to solve the edge piece for all the corner edges. This should now get you to 4:02 in the video. Hope this helped!

Thank you for this tutorial J Perm and congrats on hitting 1M subs!!! Also just something I figured out a little bit on the way: Instead of the flipping algorithm like seen in 4:53, I just did an F2 for the side I needed to flip and the joined them together.
