This limited series stars André Holland as Black Panther leader Huey P. Newton, and is executive produced by NAACP Image Award winner Janine Sherman Barrois, Jim Hecht, and Joshuah Bearman, with the first two episodes directed and executive produced by multi-award winner Don Cheadle. The six-episode drama chronicles the story of Black Panther leader Huey P. Newton’s escape to Cuba, and is based on the monumental, eponymous magazine article of the same name.

  • I'm happy to see that through this movie they are preserving Huey Newton's legacy. However, the actor whose portraying Huey is not a good fit. I'm sure he's an excellent actor, but he does not remind me of Newton. Roger Guenveur Smith, is the best actor to date to portray Huey Newton. Check out the play "A Huey Newton Story."

  • This actor looks absolutely nothing like Huey Newton, and his voice does not sound like him either. I notice this a lot with movies based on real life Black people. Plus this entire project looks silly, an excuse for a 70s classic funk/soul soundtrack and afro wigs
