Man Charles' death has been one of the most satisfsctory villain defeats I've ever seen. The cutscene is so well made you can't notice Charles is heading to a gruesome death until the very last second.

Such a simple premise, kill a spider train with your armed to the teeth train and yet it looks fun as hell. Of course the enemy Ai when it comes to chasing you does need some work

@@williamwester223 dude we're in 2022. This is not and cant be an excuse. In fact that this games gameplay sucks, the only thing we do is shooting the dude following us. Nothing different. A single call of duty mission has more gameplay variation. Guns are different but it really doesnt changes the gameplay. This game is pure laziness.

For what i get about this finale + notes we encountered in the game: Long time ago, there was a civilization (maybe aliens) who build a temple in the island to resguard an artifact who can be used to canalized power from those "eggs". But for some reason they abandon the place and all got buried with the pass of time. Years later, the Warren family somehow discover their existence and started a secret operation (disguising it as minery) to recover them. Presumably, to conquer the world. Unfortunately, they woke up/unleash a supernatural force into the island (Choo Choo Charles, and also other passive enemies like the swamp monster and the "slenderman"). Realizing their error, they hide the eggs to prevent Charles from getting stronger and escaping the island (he could acquired teletransportation powers). Yet, they didn't leave. Maybe because they were already too deep into this mess and debts, so they tried to figure out a way to control Charles by creating a "cult" around him. But there were people in the island who didn't like that and, already feed up of Charles and the Warrens, began plotting against them. So they send an S.O.S. to the mainland for help. That's when the player comes to the island and the game begins.

This was honestly like my nightmare as a kid, rolled into my innate fear of spiders, haha! Like...My dream used to be a train was about to hit me, so I ran off the tracks. The train then derailed itself to follow me, and when I struck it with a crowbar, it BLED. It didn't have a face in said dream, but boy is this game close!

The fact that he was using the big spray (flamethrower) in the few seconds in the battle and all the way to the end even though it’s the weapon that does less damage but does slow down Charles 2:06

Probably because, in my opinion, it’s probably one of the best guns. If you use it correctly, you can kill Charles without him hitting you even once.

Part of it is not being faster than the thing chasing you, but rather the person next to you (in this being Charles and cultists)

@Gabriel Freeze you are absolutely correct...idk why but I was addicted to the machine gun... something about it gave me a call of duty feel to it
Kind of prefered using the Bob gun since that thing was powerful, brought a lot recoil and takes a while before needing to cooldown Although TBF I did a completionist run so I had like 150+ scrap at the final fight, so there was basically no danger

I haven't played yet but it looks exciting. I remember when the developer was discussing certain issues he had with Charles getting stuck on things and terrain, and how he didnt want them being meaningless by allowing Charles to clip through or pass through. I'm guessing he decided to make Charles scarier by allowing this beast the ability to blink into a reposition. It's very Slenderman-esque.

My favorite thing to do during these type of battles is put headphones on and play the most upbeat music possible. “Sunshine and lemon drops” seems to invoke a strong rage towards final bosses.

If you pause it just in time between Charles death and falling you can see that his face turns off last second before dying in a gruesome yet satisfying death

If you do a next game give the player a gun car and an engine, and then let them add a bunch of in between cars maybe multiplayer if it can be swung(or remote upgrades for the other cars to be controlled from anywhere if not)

I would like to tell you guys a story. It was about 1 year ago when I saw a KZhead video about a guy called Gavin making a horror game about a train spider and I watched his video and I really enjoyed it. At first I didn’t think it would be popular but 1 year late.. LOOK HOW POPULAR IT IS.
