I had to put my dog to sleep 3 years ago and I am always thinking of him. He made me laugh so much. A dog is your friend, partner, music critic when I played the piano, and most of all he was my little boy and the love of my life.

Me too. My first dog, ever. She's two years old, and I'm 68. The affection and love I get from her are unlike anything I've gotten from anyone in my life. To be honest, I love her more than I've ever loved anyone.That playful affection they show us is the best thing, ever!

Oh man, that sucks so much! I have a two-year-old chihuahua and she's my first doggy - at 68 years old. Just thinking about the fact that she is going to die before too long, within my lifetime, makes me incredibly sad. I can't even think about it for 10 seconds without tears coming to my eyes. So I feel you. I don't know if you're of the persuasion, but I was reading that some theologians say our doggies will be in heaven with us. Doesn't help much when you're hurting, but it could be a shred of something to hold on to.

NEVER give small dogs hot flavor foods... they tend to be prune to trachea problems where they have a non stop cough/breathing problem . My chihuahuas died, because of this!

ArcticWinds Artist no she’s actually right. A lot of these dogs are treated poorly like the one on the ball and the pie one. If you actually notice a lot of the dogs aren’t having fun and the things that are causing them no not have fun are done by humans.

Why do so many not realise they are being cruel. Read the dogs
It is terrible what some people will do to get to their little furry friends. They try to humanise,these little dogs, with boots and clothes. This is overkill. And the thing I hate most is when they expect then to jump up or down on heights that are too great for their tiny bones to cope with. The bone structure on these little dogs are ver fine,ask your veterinarian. One of mine, playing chase with his little mate, dislocated his knee bone. The vet said it was something one had to watch with Chihuahuas.
I agree with most things except for one. I have a chihuahua and he actually needs clothing when its getting cold outside and he is getting used to wearing boots. He will only wear the boots for medical reasons after we got him used to it. But I hate these stupid costumes for dogs or when they wear clothing when its not necessary.
