Love how calme Grasso has been in extreme situations, she is extremly technical, humble and lovely. Chapeau to Shevchenko too, we can't ignore her talents.

Holly Holm is an excellent boxer and she could not contend with the bullet. Val is second to none on striking! All the spinning kicks were what ended the first fight. Oh and she won this fight. 10-8 was robbery. Sal had Val winning but gave Grasso a 10-8
@@aliruz4800 Valentina's boxing improved from last fight with Grasso, but i would disagree with you that Valentina boxing is better than Alexa in this fight. Also; i agree with the original comment, if Valentina would have strike more kicks she would have had higher chances of winning the fight. But i can see why Valentina or her coaching went another direction. Alexa is a tough boxer. when your boxing is that good its hard to maneuver to get a clean kick with ought getting your head hit.

I feel like a bad Mexican rooting for Valentina....... She has a beautiful heart man.... Its so hard not to fall in love with her personality and actions off the Ring though
This is why I don't understand why people think they way they do about WMMA. This was a great fight, both women absolutely put it all out there on the highest level, both were nearly finished, and I still have no clue how Alexa survived that guillotine. Also, for Shevchenko to have all her respect just lost instantly, I don't understand that at all. She arguably beat Amanda Nunes at a weight class above her and had 7 title defenses, to expect her, or anyone for that matter, to beat everyone forever is just not realistic. While the decision is not easy, I think the one thing we can agree on is fuck Michael Bell.
For me too, Valentina defeated Amanda in her second fight.
because half the time it looks like they have no power in their punches. It's same in lower weight class mens divisions but not as bad. If you punch someone full force multiple times, they should be out. I am not looking for a match which rounds that should end it, get 10-8 simply because the fighter lacks the power to finish it

valentina ya le habia abierto la ceja y ya ganaba la 1ra y la 2da , ganaba la 4ta y al final boto por la borda todo lo ganado queriendola mandar al suelo en esos ultimos 70segundos ... para mi aun asi habia diferencia a su favor porque la mexicana le dio muy poco ,tanto es asi que ni los jueces quisieron darle un escandaloso triunfo a la mexicana dando solo un empate
What an amazing fighter, Grasso is! Valentina did a superb job and made a mistake at the very end. It was a very emotional and enjoyable fight to watch!

Personally I scored it 28/27 Shevchenko: - 10/9 Shevchenko (the liver kicks and elbow were the most damaging strikes) - 10/9 Grasso (the knockdown actually wasn’t huge, but the follow-up knees and elbows in the clinch were the most damaging shots of the round) - 10/9 Shevchenko (dominant submission offence, obviously, but not much damage) - R4 10/9 Shevchenko (she landed sharp punches for a lot of the round + opened a cut, which matters; Grasso landed good knees but it was all 1 moment and Shevchenko wasn’t rocked so that can’t steal the round imo) - 10/9 Grasso (ground n pound & submission offence)
You forgot that grasso hit in the back of the head in both fights if I can remember correctly
@@parzivalpower3587 It didn't seem deliberate to me. Tbh, that happens in like half of all fights - basically anytime someone turtles and the opponent unloads on them, there'll be a couple of hooks or hammer fists that land near the back of the head. It's hard not to against a moving opponent who's tucking their head. The ref just warns them and they pick their shots more carefully; it's not grounds for an immediate DQ or point deduction.

This was a very good decision calling it a draw because whoever thinks Valentina won is delusional lmfao … grasso dropped her, boxed her face in throughout the rounds and almost choked her out again in the 5th….. only thing Valentina did was get a few jabs in and grapple on the floor which did absolutely nothing … good shit grasso !
Scoring is damage over all. Look at their faces at the end of the bell and tell me who won that final round. It was the worst robbery of the year makes paddy vs gordon seem redeemable it was 4-1 or 3-2 val and if anyone shouldve gotten a 10-8 it was grasso in the third. Go watch golf kid your lost here
💯 Grasso absolutely demolished Shevchenko in my opinion, what a beautiful demonstration of her skill. My goodness. It was like Shevcheko was a bouncing robotic canvas and Grasso was Picasso. Mad props to that badass.

Hay que ser imparcial por más que sea mexicana Valentina ganó 1 el 2 y el 3 el 4 lo considero un empate el 5 fue de Alexa por un error de Valentina si estoy errado se le puede dar el 4 Alexa y por lo tanto Valentina gana 3 a 2 división dividida y le dan empate eso es un robo para que aya otra pelea más ,negocio para Dana White lo único que rescato que Alexa es una guerrera pero Valentina fue superior

Valentine is a simple fighter does same techniques and Alexa knows that and capitalizes on it on top of that shes flat footed and that Maui Tai stance isnt helping her alexa studied her.
Grasso for the win on this, hands down. What an impressive display of her skills and defense game. Whoever thought Shevchenko won must love a boring fight… all I really saw Shevchenko do was bounce up and down like a short circuiting robot enough to almost give me a seizure and lock in a body triangle that Grasso beautifully escaped with incredible stamina. Grasso is a champion, well deserved.
Huh. Ok, I get it, they want to do a 3rd fight. Grasso won this, there's not anything to dispute. I'm surprised Shev thought she won? And was like totally confident, even after hearing it was 1 for each- that she was gonna still get the nod. This is why I don't follow the sport like I used to. Smells fishy.

When a right hander switches to LEFTY.. the announcer is wrong by saying that the “jab is not there anymore”, on the contrary, the jab gets stronger because now tHE STRONGER RIGHT HAND is the the jab. At least that how is seen in boxing. That’s why a lot of boxers like to switch sides because the stronger hand now is ON THE LEAD. You can hear the desperation on Valentina’s corner about not letting her opponent lead and take the rounds and they’re still being bias towards Val. 😂
As a boxing guy watching this UFC fight.. I don’t know what the commentators were watching. I believe Grasso won 1, 2 and 3rd round because even while Valentina was focusing on the tie down, Grasso kept punching and kicking her on the ground. The 4th round I think Grasso lost it but only to make it closer by landing 7 knees in a row to the head followed by a bunch of punches.. it could’ve a tie but I give it to Valentina. Then the 5th round Valentina looked ok BUT her running around made her look weak a desperate them Grasso almost finished her out… You don’t believe me? Pay attention to Valentina’s corner instructions and their tone.. they sounded desperate. I score the 5th round the way it goes in boxing.. the challenger needs to go get the championship and her running around makes her look weak and desperate.

And I believe you should be deducted points for being on the bottom and just hanging on for dear life, aka stalling.
This us control dummy, if you don't like it get out of the bottom. Every sane person would agree being on the top is a dominant position, even who have never watched mma would tell you that.
One FC rules they'll immediately stand fighters up in those situations

The 1st point is to win. In order to win you have to do damage and not take damage. Where's the continuing head movement by fighters. I understand you'll take hits or kicks but less if you Bob and weave. Otherwise you're just straight line target which is more predictable to hit. Good fight. Grasso did win on my numbers but only by a point.

Por pouco a Grasso não perde o cinturão. O empate a manteve campeã. Ela precisa evitar cair com muita facilidade , derrubada pela Valentina. O último round a salvou. Precisa treinar defesa de queda. A Valentina vai voltar a fazer isso na terceira luta entre elas.
Alexa had Valentina locked up at the end, pounding on her and about to lock in an RNC when time expired, another minute and we would have had a KO. Gotta love the Muhammad Ali "Can't touch me" at the end, lolz 😆

I agree a draw. I thought Shevchenko have up the Victory when Grasso dominated her last 2 mins on the ground last round. That made it an even round, Grasso having lost the 1st part of the round. IMO..
Close fight, but Shevchenko won. She was the aggressor 90% of the time and out struck Grasso too.
I see Grasso only using Valentina' mistakes but no chance against Blanchfield if she keep the belt next

4th is the toughest round to judge. 1&3 Valentina for sure, 2&5 alexa. Honestly not mad with the decision.

Going into the 4th round i had it 2-2 but the end of the 5th round was very clear for Alexa, it was very competitive but Alexa got that fight, Valentina giving his back the last 40 or 30 sec of the fight was his loss

Gran combate, de los mejores que he visto, Valentina fue salvada por la campana, la pelea estuvo para las dos, en momentos domino una y en otros la otra, asun asi, pienso que esto no fue un empate, Alexa Grasso gano, fue una pelea pareja pero creo que dentro de lo pareja que fue, tambien creo que habia una ganadora. Pero la UFC es un negocio, y como tal, dejando esto en empate da pie para una nueva revancha mas adelante. La mexicana mejoro mucho desde el primer combate a este segundo combate, en el primero estaba perdiendo y se encontro con la victoria, aqui estubo mucho mejor, hasta le dio un poco de su propia medicina cuando la intento llevar al piso y se llevo 4 o 5 rodillasos en la cabeza. Felicitaciones a ambas, grandes luchadoras con tremendo corazon, muy buenas las dos y muy linda pelea, asi que no me voy a enojar si la UFC depronto arregla una 3era pelea (se van a llenar los bolsillos de $$$$$)

The fight was insane that Shevanko is deadly at this sport to take on Nunes as a fly weight. I thought Grasso won but split draw is ok. If you slow speed during the announcement she didn't even know she won
the fight was real close but Valentina was in deep danger multiple times. Grasso landed more strikes. Only danger grasso had was some jabs and a guillotine attempt🥱 i love valentina dont get me wrong but lets not be delusional
I think Valentina won. She controlled most of the fight, did more damage and threatened subs more. It was close enough that I'm ok with the draw though.

I think Shevchenko won the fight, but I can't argue a draw. Shevchenko's ground work in both fights was flat. She gets the takedowns, and seems afraid to posture up when on top. There was ground but almost no pound in both fight. What the heck happened to her kicking game also? I don't see her fights exciting anymore. Maybe she is losing interest in fighting.

Round 1: Valentina Round 2: Alex ROund 3: Valentina (possibly 10-8 given the control time) ROund 4: Alex Round 5: draw How the fuck did 2 judges give round 4 to valentina. Round 5 valentina was winning up till the mistake she amde at 1 min 30 seconds hence i say it's a draw. Round 3 could be a 10-8 for valentina considering she controlled almost the entire round. definitely whack judging
It is not acceptable to praise one side more than the other in a fight, regardless of their race. The commentator should have been impartial throughout the entire event instead of showing a biased preference towards Shevshanko.

Im unbias ... I had it 3 to 2 for valentina ... The last round was almost a 10 to 8 round for grasso but it was 10 to 9 ... It wasnt enough to be 10 to 8... Valentina was dominant in most rounds . Tons of take downs.
