You need to fabricate a blasting cabinet for those small parts... much safer for your lungs than the hood. And, gloves to keep those hands out of cleaning fluid, too. Regards.
People have been working on all kinds without gloves or a hood. When I was a teenager we never heard or rubber gloves and breathing apparatus was on affordable by big business.

Silicosis is a preventable disease, if adequate filtration/avoidance of particulates is used to protect our fragile lungs. Just because we didn't wear helmets when riding bicycles, scooters, or while skating, etc., as youth, doesn't justify not using appropriate protective gear, today.
But you take the namby pamby over protective bit too far IMO. When I was a boy I used to bike it to and from school 2 miles from my home summer and winter - without a helmet. I've also had numerous cracks on the bonze on construction sites. But I'm still here to tell the tale. Young people are molly coddled today to the extent that they can't face life.
At the end of each project I look at your face to see your smiles, smiles of satisfaction of your accomplishment. Keep 😊 smiling.
Your videos have changed. It felt like you were filming in a studio. Before, you were closer and it was nice to hear your voice. No matter what, seeing you is always a joy for the eyes.
She moved her work table from the original location, into the open. Until it rained :P Then it was back under cover in the old spot. In one shot you can see the stone wall with three chairs against it. That's the old spot :) I didn't realise that there were so many flowers around or that high wall. My guess is that she's easing herself back into doing these after the baby. As you say, though, it's always good to see her.

Amazing ... no oil, no grease, no valve adjustment ... a true miracle (I don't believe in miracle).
Take apart, clean. paint, reassemble. No new engine wear parts.
The second layer of paint is not filmed, so probably also not the oiling and greasing.
The sealant should always be applied within the area to be sealed. Otherwise, leakage could occur via the screws. At these low pressures, this is not so important. At higher pressures, there may be a leak. So always seal to the process

I love to watch Lin. She is smart and an excellent mechanic. "Genius" however is a little overstatement. The Chinese are good at this calling anybody who can fight a"kung fu master"or a smart person a genius. However I am completely a fan of this girl. Great channel and content.❤❤❤❤

I must have missed the part where you examined the piston, piston rings and cylinder bore, big-end bearings, check the valve clearances etc. All I saw was some cleaning and repainting which is not repairing.

You could maybe also invest in a torque wrench. essential for when you are replacing the head. Otherwise god only knows how long that head gasket will last..???

I watch you all the time now. Wish you would talk a little more, like in one of the video's, it was cute herring your voice. Do you ever think that you might get your hands a small tractor with a 3 cylinder diesel engine and restore the hole tractor. Or is that to big a project for you. Or maybe more of what you do with your family, like the time you went to the mountains, picked all that stuff and cooked it.

I unexpectedly learned a way to put the rings on using what looked like nylon string. Very great way to use what you have on hand! Guess this may work on my 2 stroke weed-eater. No room for special tools.
