Your drawing is just amazing🤩 thank you for sharing this ❤
This was amazing to watch. Thank you for the time stamps. I looked at your description but couldn't see details on where you got your desk light from, may I please ask details on what brand/type it is?
This has been a really informative *and relaxing* video! I've been into impressionism for quite some time now and I would really appreciate a video dedicated to how you use colours! I still can't quite get the concept of using colours such as purples and greens and blues in depicting humans (considering the fact that I'm only a beginner) and I would want to know how to do them just like you do :D you're really an inspiration
I'm so glad you enjoyed this video☺️ took me a while to learn about tools for oil pastels, so I'm happy that I could finally share my knowledge to everyone❤️ I'm planning on making another video like this again, I'll make sure to include some techniques for colouring in a future video☺️👍
Yes please make a video on the concept of colors!
Get a book on color theory.
Agreed, this was quite soothing and relaxing to watch and listen to.
I really can’t stand videos that are just talking so I loved this 100%
Perfect and complete silent film. The images and texts present everything necessary. Nothing else. Thanks
Your paintings make me feel like I’m walking in a dream
I don't use oil pastels, but it's really nice to see your work progress, i love to see you painting, your videos and paintings are always well done and i really appreciate it❤
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed my videos😊❤️
Me too !
Your art, to put in words, makes me feel things i rarely feel. It awakens a warm feeling in my heart and makes me forget about all the things and i can just sit back and enjoy your videos. You make wonders with colours on the paper. Your art makes my eyes twinkle and helps me dream more. I will forever support you❤️
Reading your comment made my day🥺❤️ thank you so much!
@@MisakoFlodin ❤️❤️❤️you deserve never ending happiness
This style of editing is so aesthetically satisfying!
If I can add something, for the "sealing" part, maybe it can help people. You have to let the drawing dry before apply anything on top (just like oil painting, so, depending on the thickness, it can be take few weeks, or maybe months) Also, on the market, the only "oil pastel fixative" is the sennelier :/ But you can use any oil painting fixative (you can have different finish like glossy or mat because they are many on the market) To use a fixative, it's like a spray painting, only little "pression", line by line (so press the spray, do a "line" on top and release) do it again as much as it take for cover all the surface. Turn your drawing at 90° and do it again on all the surface, to be sure it's well sealed. And like every other spray bottle, turn the bottle, and spray in the air for clean the "pipe" of the spray before put away. I hope my explanations are understable and not to messy (english is not my mother tongue, sorry).
Good advice. From a conservation framing point of view, if you're putting it under glass though, I question the need for fixative. I'm not sure, but I would compare it to watercolor where you do not spray it with fixative, and you want it under glass, preferably UV protected glass like say True View or something like that. If you're selling a 'painting' for hundreds of dollars, then it's worth it. :)
Will be oil pastel painting dry to touch as oil painting after week or two?thanks
@@pennycandyys I don't know if it's really necessary, but my point was mainly "If you want to fix it, let it dry first" :o
@@iri5505 It really depends of the thickness of your drawing and the oil pastel you use. For example, sennelier's one are very smooth beacause they are very oily, they need more time to dry than mungyo's one. You can gently touch your drawing to see if it's dry (but one/two week seems "short" to me for dry) I don't really know how much time mine take to dry because when I finish it, I place it somewhere and someday I'm like "oh, it's been few weeks, lets check if it's good"
@@flavie.3826 Yes, good point. From my side, I like to share framing and conservation information because it seems like largely people still don't know much about it. To me, artists who sell their work in particular, should have some knowledge of the subject. So I make a lot of comments to help share some of the information, and it's not even necessarily directed at anyone in particular, but just to get the knowledge out there. :)
I have started doing oil pastels thanks to you ! It's been a journey of trial and error and your tips have been so useful. Without you i would never have thought of using supplies like linseed oils (which make drawing so much easier and relaxing). I have even discovered an art store that makes traditional handmade oil pastels where I study (l'artisan pastellier). I am so thankfull for what you do ! I hope you know you have inspired many to start oil pastels and get back to drawing ! Thank you
Hi, I'm willing to start drawing with oil pastels, and I'm having a hard time finding any review or thoughts on oil pastels by L'artisan pastellier, which I am really interested in. Have you ever tried this brand? If so, what do you think of it? :)
I’m really enjoying your channel. Doesn’t seem to be too many people on KZhead specialising in oil pastels.. 😊
Thank you so much❤️❤️
That's not a question, only a comment saying how much I love the texture that oil pastels have! I love their final appearence and how creamy they look when we are using them. I love when my fingers get all colored because of them 😊❤
I’m cryinnnnngg , cause I’m so excited I can barely contain it 😭 Time to drink my warm coffee while I let you take me on yet another soul therapeutic journey. Love you, Misako ❤
Good morning! thank you for being here so early, hope you enjoyed my video🥰 it's time to make some coffee for me haha☕️ sending you love from Canada! have a great sunday❤️
One of my favorite mediums! Im so happy to learn some more tips. Your videos are always wonderful!
Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to make another tutorial video in the future🥰✨

소리도 분위기도 편안하고 너무 좋아요😢❤
I normally get headaches whenever I watch any art videos, doesn't help as a fellow artist. But I was able to watch your video from beginning to end without any migraine, I am convinced to try oil pastels again. Thank you
oil pastels are my favorite type of materials, I really enjoy watching your videos, they're so relaxing and inspiring. I've moved into France this year and I'm so exited to buy senneliers pastels
You make the most hated and feared art supply so easy to use! Thank you for this video! Now Im inspired to go dig out my oil pastels and create something beautiful!
Thanks for the advice. I’m ordering the Skin Safer. I was under the impression that oil pastels were not that bad but I would rather be safe. I do wear gloves when oil painting. Using oil pastels were easier while recovering from a broken wrist this past winter. Peace ☮️
Adore the aesthetics, quietness and pace of your video so much. I’ve been looking for tutorial videos but none is as good. Please teach us more!
Your work is absolutely beautiful!!!!

Thank you for such a beautiful and calming video. It’s so hard to find good information about oil pastel painting and I really enjoyed watching this. Very informative and aesthetically pleasing video as always!
I just started oil pastels because an important friend of mine bought me a whole set and had me experiment with them for a few weeks. I became intrigued with it. I have been a watercolorist for years but it is always nice to work in other mediums, and discover
While searching for more information about oil pastels I found your channel. You have inspired me so much and now I am slowly learning how to work and experiment with oil pastels. Hi, thank you for this lovely video. I am learning, late in life, to paint and decided to try pastels. I didn't realize there are more than one type and each time I watch a video or tutorial I learn something new. Once again thank you.
Wow. Truly. Thanks for this. I plan on starting a similar style but I'm sharing my experience with learning how to utilize art.
I'd love more info on painting with oil pastels. I feel like it is such an overlooked medium, and there really is little info about it. Anything you share is appreciated!
Very pleasing to watch, I think I will come back to this video many times. Subscribed!

Thank you for this video.. You really inspired me to learn
Your video help me relax. Thank you very much.
Great video, perhaps the best intro to oil-pastels that I've seen. I see you didn't mention my favorite paper for oil pastels: sanded paper. It allows for lot of layering and works especially well mixing with colored pencils.
Thank you so much for sharing your helpful tips about this beautiful media ♡
Thank you so much for this!!! I've been trying to get into oil pastels, if you make more tutorials i love to know how you build color with them! Thank you so much 🫶🫶
Love this! Thanks for sharing 💖
Thanks for watching!
I use to paint with oil pastels/soft pastels and have been wanting to paint again. Sometimes I would do the underpainting with soft pastels and paint acrylic medium to seal it. Also used watercolor and gouache to start the background at other times. Never had the extensive collection of colors and that was sometimes a frustration but I would work in more limited palettes and buy colors as I needed them. Your paintings are beautiful! Really like your technique of liquifying the colors. Didn’t realize some of the pastel colors are toxic, good to know!
so beautiful and inspiring 😍
i just wanna say that ur video was really usefulllll !!!! Thanks for the video !!!
