Football or Soccer has had an interesting journey in America but one thing is for certain, there would be no Beckham, Rooney or Ibrahimovic in the MLS, without the LA Wolves.
In 1967, the United Soccer Association gave the USA its first taste of professional soccer and Wolverhampton Wanderers were one of 12 teams transported to the States to kickstart the movement.
Culminating in the 'greatest soccer game ever seen', prepare to discover the unique story of when Wolves transformed into the Los Angeles Wolves for seven weeks during the summer of love to conquer the USA.
Full documentary coming soon in partnership with FootballCo and Mundial.

  • Remember it well. The Wulfrun Hall had a special night back in '67 showing the match against Aberdeen from the States.

  • I'm quite sure that soon after the Aberdeen game we signed Frank Munro on the back of his performance(s), I believe he was a midfielder but we converted him into a centre back, there were rumours that Scotland thought he was their Duncan Edwards. UTW

  • Great looking film. But saying soccer in the US started in 1967 quite naive considering the US Open Cup started in 1913. In 1926 over 31 thousand people attended the us open cup final. The Oneidas of Boston soccer team were formed in 1862, fifteen years before Wolves.
