It's called interfering with play lol why has everyone forgot the rules of football?
I think people have had their brains turned to mush lol
They're cherry picking and I am sure if it was against his team he would emphatically be calling it an offside. That's the unfortunate thing with us humans.
We had the same decision go against us with Antonio standing in front of the keeper
So its offside but it shouldnt be offside? Make it make sense...
Anyone in an offside position in the 18-yard box should be given offside.🤷♂️
The wolves player was interfering with play if he's obstructing the goalie..... Off side!
Sums up talk sport this. A pundit who doesn’t understand the offside rule
Easiest offside decision ever. The player is an offside position, directly between the 'keeper and the ball, therefore interfering with play.
Both the goals that the ref disallowed were the right decisions.
Absolutely! What on earth is all the fuss about this decision? How does anybody think a goal is ever going to be allowed when an offside player is standing 2 or 3 feet directly in front of the keeper? Unbelievable.
Totally neutral view. It is offside. It is harsh however the laws of the game stand. He was in an offside position infront of the keeper, irrespective of whether he would get near it.
He is offside and he is blocking the keeper. If the rules are garbage or not means nothing it was offside.
Whether a header or shot is savable or not should never affect an offside decision.
Funny how Gary O'Neil didn't mention the ridiculous VAR decision for Emerson's disallowed goal in his list of crazy incidents.
Wolves have been abused by VAR this season lad and I’m not even a Wolves fan! Some of the decisions against them have been SHOCKING

"preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision" That's the rule and it doesn't say anything about whether the opponent will actually get to the ball, so by the letter of the law I guess the decision was correct If it happens at the other end i'm sure he would be saying the keeper was unsighted and it was offside.
How about don't stand touch-tight to the keeper in an off-side position?
O'Neil even said in the post game interview 'obviously he's stood in an offside position' yet some Wolves fans say he wasn't even offside. Someone send them help asap
So Jamie, if a player runs through, and is in an offside position when he receives the ball, as long as he scores in a corner that the keeper cannot reach then the offside doesn’t count and the goal stands
The offside isn't a subjective decision its objective,
Weird how talksport pundits always “CLASH” 😂…almost as if they are told what to say just for the craic eh
Jamie shouldn't be on the show if hes making his own rules to how offside works
No comment about Emerson goal by spurs fan. Surprise surprise
That wolves player shouldn’t be standing in front of Fabianski because he is offside! It’s there own fault, Emerson scored a great header and they disallowed it because he accidentally stood a little bit on the wolves player’s foot but it wasn’t enough contact for him to go down the way he did! West Ham deserved that win today ⚒⚽️
The win was earned on the back of a superb 2nd half performance. I felt Emerson's disallowed goal was disappointingly the correct decision. The late disallowed"equaliser" from wolves was also another good decision from the ref. Credit to Moyes, his positive half-time changes resulted in 3 very well-deserved points for the Irons.
WEST HAM WON ON THEIR WORST GAME OF THE SEASON BUT WEST HAM HAVE DONE THE DOUBLE OVER WOLVES SO BRUMMIE STOP FUKIN MOANING ⚒️⚒️💪💪🏼😜

Wolves this season Hwang should’ve been sent off we should’ve had a pen, Liverpool at home we had a goal ruled out for nothing, spurs at home we were through on goal and the ref blew his whistle
Sorry but we’ve all seen saves that normally we say “he’s never getting there.” You can’t give a goal when the keeper is unsighted by an offside player just because “I don’t think he’s saving that.”
The offside player directly in front of the keeper is also preventing the keeper from coming off his line and intercepting the ball before it even gets to Wolves player who headed it in. How is that not interfering with play? The outrage about this decision is incomprehensible and ludicrous. Edit: that said, I suppose he's not offside until the wolves player heads it, so I suppose he can do that. Nevertheless, if you stand 2 feet directly in front of a goalkeeper in an offside position any goal "scored" is never going to stand. Still absolutely the right decision.
Ex Wolves player and spurs fan O'hara doesn't agree with a decision that went for West Ham. Shock 🙄
Idk why Jamie is so adamant about the call. Those goals are disallowed like that all the time. That call is more clear cut than others they call for “obstructing the goalies view”
Gary doesn’t talk about the ridiculously ruled out. Emerson goal. Var even its self out in this match.
Had this been a goal against them the same way he’d be saying it was right decision to disallow it, notice how Gary doesn’t mention anything about Emerson’s disallowed goal thinking that should stand nor does it even get shown in highlights. 🤡 love how west ham never get defended when bad decisions go against us most of the time 👍🏼
You can't allow a goal from offside because it was a worldie
whats to argue over?. it was offside and the right call
I hate to agree with a chelsea fan but if your in the 6 yard box you can't claim your not interfering with play. My issue with it is next week that same situation will go unpunished
What I don't like about var, is that these officials often go out of their way to look for a reason to disallow a goal. I'll say it again for the 3,586th time, var is ruining football. VAR OUT! 😂
😂😂😂! Love it!
It’s not var it’s the way it’s being used!
@@alistairsmith5389 people need to stop with that dumb argument. It absolutely is var that's the problem. It exists to look for things, it can't happen any other way. People keep saying "it's not var, it's the way it's being used" as if we haven't already figured out that referees are poor and often get it wrong. Therefore, as decisions are often subjective, it will ALWAYS be like this and var is practically irrelevant as a perfect authority. Because this week, one official will say that this isn't a goal, and next week a different official will say it is. Var was doomed from the start, and we've had 6 years of it and 6 years of experience and watching how it *should* work hasn't been enough to train these officials how to be better, has it? This has easily been the worst season for decisions we have seen, so does it look like a success to you? People need to stop making excuses for var. Football was better without it, and now we have more consistent controversy than I've ever seen in my entire lifetime. Var is an obvious failure, not even a debate imo. It's farcical.
The amount of correct offside decisions mate. We’d be back to the old days where the bigger teams get all the decisions
@@JasonLockwood87 most of those correct decisions are being given due to someone being a toenail offside ffs lmao. Also, isn't that exactly what's happening now? Ask any fan of a club who isn't up there, they'll tell you var has been screwing them in favour of big teams.
If the player that's blocking the keeper is offside then it's pretty simple - he is interfering with play.
Correct decision
Is offside if wolves scores but if it was the other way around it wasn't offside. I have seen goals stood with the same situation but apparently the rules only apply if wolves scores 😅😅😅
Can we also discuss the Emerson goal that was disallowed?! We had a goal disallowed against Chelsea a few seasons back for the same thing but Antonio was on the floor apparently blocking the keepers view.
He was standing there to impede the goalkeeper. He was offside. Whether it was a fantastic header in the bottom corner or not. MOTD talking rubbish too saying the goalkeeper should move out the way. The goalkeeper stands in the best position available to make a possible save.
Wow, you say wolves have been robbed again, its happened 5 times to forest, you didnt mention that, ever.
How is it relevant. He is specifically talking about it happening to Wolves, does he need to list every other team that it has happened to?
Im a hammer and i think both teams had a var injustice and the game should have been 3-2 to the hammers
Clearly offside and blocking the keeper's view/movement, but no surprise that O'Hara doesn't understand that. he doesn't understand much.

We deserved it after such a dominating 2nd half. 1st half our players were in Germany scoring a late winner. Worrying about getting injured etc. Not a great excuse but understandable.
My thoughts exactly. I was at the match and I thought that they were saving themselves for Thursday.
All teams have had VAR goals for and against. The player stands in front of Fabianski which I also think is soft but again as a West Ham fan remember many times this season things haven’t gone our way. Unfortunately it’s football these days, Refs in VAR rooms making decisions for other Ref’s…! It won’t get better we all have to take it on the chin
Offside & interfering with play. Fabs dosent have sight of the ball because of an offside player. Stands.
Offside all day. In front of the keeper, view obscured and Fabianski blocked from even making a challenge for the ball.
Oh dear what a shame never mind 😂😂😂coyi
1:15 Some disappointing results for teams at the bottom? You reference Millwall who lost to a team below them.
Which IS a disappointment result!
The way to articulate this problem is thus; The rule is being used TOO LITERALLY. He is in an offside position yes but in this situation, it does not give enough reason to cancel the goal. The referee must have some wiggle room for interpretation here. Are the referees being told therefore to just use the law LITERALLY? Because if that is the case then we have two questions: Do fans/players etc want that? IN which case every situation like this results in a canceled goal. Or - would fans rather give referees wiggle room to make a judgement call based on personal interpretation of each individual situation? Because we cannot have both.
Everton had one against man utd ruled out when sigurdsson got fouled and was lay on floor not interfering or obstructing de gea. Ancelloti got a red card for questioning it. Thus isn't a new thing, it's the rules apparently
West Ham absolutely battered them second half they couldn’t get the ball for more than 10 seconds. Perhaps hard done by but don’t worry pretend they were the better side.
How much possession did wetspam manage this week?

We will never know if fabianski would of saved it cause the guy was in front of him in a offside position...simple decision...whats the fuss about
There's no way he would save it. And on Sky Sports they said it's a subjective decision so why's VAR getting involved in the first place? It's not clear or obvious so the goal should've stood.
So offsides should only count if the keeper has a chance to save a goal. 🤦♂️

let's forget about Robertsons existence and say ait-nouri is the best LB sort of thing we do in this country 😂
The rule isn't there to blur the lines of what is right and wrong according to the OUTCOME....it is there to judge on clear lines...is the player offside..yes...is he directly in front of the keeper in line with the ball...yes! Is it interfering with play....OF COURSE!!! The outcome is irrelevant!!! Whatever happens, Wolves gain advantage from that player there. This is where changing the rules of offside years ago made so many loopholes its become stupid! Offside used to be offside no matter what.
How strange that in O’Neil’s list of wrongs there is no mention of Emerson’s excellent tackle, where he clearly played the ball, resulting in a penalty and a yellow card. We are all blinded by our invested interests.

My question is simply this, no one is arguing that chirowe is in an offside position. The real argument to me is, did he (5’11”) actually obstruct 6’3” gks view on a ball that probably was never below 7’. The side view shows the gk looking over the player.
