  • An interesting add on to what chisora was saying. I watched a documentary on kronk gym and emmanuel steward made them train in 100 degree heat and mentioned that getting his fighters to perform when tired was crucial as a way to help them perform during the championship rounds of a fight. He would make sure that they retained speed and power with muscle memory when exhausted. From what I have seen jake has prepared for this situation I feel tommy hasn't trained as hard.

Paul's just taken it up and in a grand way and getting better. You can't fight fit young no.1's first up. I hope for the sake of the profession Tommy takes the win. No technical run down from me as I'm incompetent in this field.

    • There's been a "theme" that most of fighters that Jake Paul has faced. They are in questionable stages of their career and Jake Paul questions if they want to keep doing this anymore. One thing Paul does have is heart. He wants it bad. So he chooses fighters in multiple sports that are either at the end of their career (Silva and Woodly) Ben Askren was a straight wrestler at the end of his career... or like Tommy Fury at the beginning of his career, just had a baby, has a famous last name, hasn't really been outstanding and has everything to lose. If Tommy Fury loses this fight, Tyson and his own father told him not to come back home and stay in Saudi Arabia. If Paul loses it doesn't really matter. He was supposed to lose, he's a youtuber. He also signed with the PFL (players fighter league an MMA organization) and wants to fight Nick Diaz in MMA. So he may be able to go back and forth between the sports. But if Tommy Fury loses, his brother is the champion of the world... His dad said not to come home if he loses. He goes from making 15k per fight, each fight... to Jake Pauls fight where he's going to make millions in one fight? Then what? Even if he wins, he's going back to 30k fights. 15k to 30k per fight... do you think he's going to want to go back to that? He needs to fight Paul multiple times and win. So what Paul does is try to exploit someones doubt... Anderson Silva and Woodley, Aksren the wrestler.. and the other guy was a basketball player... many entering a new sport and at the ends of their careers or don't even have a career. Tons of doubt. Tons of pressure. Paul puts them in this pressure cooker to see if they want it.

  • Jake is the superior athlete and has the stronger will. I think Tommy, as slick as he is will struggle to win. I doubt he would've beaten Anderson Silva.

    • Luck of the draw bro. He’s making money with what he was given. Still takes guts to get in there.
