@@xeox4280 the fact that just some people did that because of a fucking costume in a video game is more than enough reason for us not deserving it.
The reason for the raised webbing a and brick patter throughout the suit was so that the red parts wouldn't be so blurry on cameras, since at the time cameras couldn't film red without making it blurry.
It’s the same reason why Optimus Prime lacks so much red in the Transformers movies. Red was hard to do CGI with so they made him mostly blue and grey and just added red accents here and there.
It’s more that the blacks couldn’t pick up in the reds. Red is a key colour, while black is a small detail running across. Red is hard to shoot on film, but it is possible, but it sacrificed detail. That’s also why the suit is a bit more orange in the first movie than red.
For someone who has done some filming other than mobile phone tiktoks its pretty clear why the suit looks the way it does.
@Bored film cameras evolve. New lenses that balance contrast and touch ups in the editing room to make the webbing stick out. Also remember that it is silver raised webbing like the Raimi movies. But the Raimi suit had thicker webs and the suit, especially in the first movie was actually a reddish orange more than red.
I really miss when Spiderman wore an actual suit on set instead of just CGIng the whole thing.

The Sam Raimi costume (particularly the one from Spider-Man 2) is very close to my ideal Spider-Man outfit. It’s my favourite live action Spider-Man costume. I also appreciate how you didn’t go into too much detail about the differences in the outfit across the 3 movies, because let’s be real- Peter Parker is a human being like any of us, so he’d probably get bored wearing the same outfit again and again, and he might want to tweak it a bit every now and then. Hence why we see the costume change a bit across the films. It’s realistic, it’s normal. The costume is iconic and while it may not be the definitive suit for most Spider-Man fans, it is so for me. I love it.
A month late, but another possible in-canon exp for his changing suits is that he has to recreate it every time it gets torn to shreds in-between/at the end of his movies. It can explain why the webs in NWH were screenprinted as opposed to rubber like before, like maybe he has since upgraded the way he makes these suits
I think realism went out the window with this costume when they told us a teenager made it, but that doesn't mean I don't love the suit.

@Aeric Abison I like that the Raimi suit only made very subtle tweaks across each of his movies while keeping the same basic design, whereas Captain America in the MCU felt like his suit was being changed constantly up until Endgame. Iron Man I can get looking different between movies since Tony Stark has always made many different variations of his Iron Man armor in the comics.
I actually like all of the live-action Spidey suits. Yes, even Nicholas Hammond's suit with those weird showerhead eyes.

The webbing actually looks like webbing when it's silver, so it feels like a very accurate translation from the comics to me

The suit is perfect! Just perfect! This brings back my fantastic memories of my childhood. Spider-Man 2 was just the perfect piece of cinema! I will never see Spider-Man done better than Sam Raimi and his crew and the cast make such an amazing movie ever again. This suit is the top tier on every superhero costume list. This is the greatest work of art made through a fiction Character that brought my childhood to life!
When I got into Spiderman i was around 1 or 2 years old and the first things i watched was Spiderman 2002, Spiderman TAS from 1994, the original Spiderman cartoon from 1967 and the CGI MTV Spiderman cartoon from 2003

Since I first watched spider-man 2002-2007 I’ve always been obsessed with the raimi suits. The raised silver webbing and brick pattern on the suits are just so gorgeous and the eyes. I always used to wonder how Peter put the mask on and it always ends up attached to the rest of the suit like the neck area. And when I found out Peter was fully naked under the suit I baffled me abit😂 but overall the best suit in my opinion was Spider-man 3, red and black suit. Big upgrade from the first instalment. Absolutely love the Sam raimi suits.
When it comes to the back spider, I still prefer the cartoony one due to it being classic. I love raimi back spider as well though.

Always feet like the black webbing was supposed to be white but so thin the cartoon outlines overlap and make it all black, like how cobwebs or a single strand of hair are rendered black regardless of color.

One thing that I kinda don’t like about the raimi suit is how much red it has, I think the torso and the arms should’ve cut into the blue sooner
the only reason i was for the ps4 raimi suit getting an update was the color of the blue. it was the brighter version of the first movie and i really prefer the dark/navy blue. its the reason im not really a fan of the stark suit. i am also colorblind.
a way to improve audio quality is to record audio using audacity or a similar program and a a normalize filter on your audio the makes it so your audio level stays consistent.

Raimi suit is the best spiderman suit. It's crafted so beautifully and the idea of a vibrant red and blue suit with raised webbing is so good

I love the 2002 version of the suit the most.
For me the silver webbing always looked as if there was actual spider webbing on the suit. While the black webbing (while iconic) felt cartoonish.
My ideal design would be an amalgamation of the two suit designs: - The larger lenses, less pronounced chest logo, and brighter blue from the first movie. - The thinner back logo, the webbed palms, and the darker red from the second movie.

Pretty good video man, in depth enough to get the point across but not boring. Although I would probably have not spent so much time ranting. People who complain will always find a way to complain no matter even if you do exactly what you want and honestly they'd probably just call you a bitch lmao. Anyways I agree I love the Raimi suit although it's not my favorite now that the MCU finally got like the perfect comic book accurate Romita Sr. looking design who drew my favorite version of the suit.

The only problem i have with PS4 suit is that the webbing lacks ambient occlusion and it makes the suit feel like amateur 3d mod in some instances for me, just darken the texture of the suit around the webbing and it will look more realistic, prefect even.

I feel like the bit where you said the 2002 vs 2004 wasn't enough of a difference to talk about them as separate suits does both of them injustice. For one, the 2002 suit has less angrier eyes, a much smaller and simpler spider logo, a much fatter back logo, and doesnt have webbing on the palms. Plus the face shell is a different shape. There's enough there to talk about imo, as those could all be reasons why someone prefers 2002 over 2004 or vise versa. I personally think 2004 is the best Spidey suit. It looks so good and it basically perfected what the first suit was trying to do. A more recognizable front spider, the higher quality materials, the more vibrant colors, the textured eyes, and the better face shell shape just make it one of the best interpretations of the classic suit ever imo. It's definitely the best of the raised webbing suits. Edit: please read the replies. He corrected me and then I apologized and changed my argument a bit.
You are exactly who the section at the end of this video was about. I cover these differences at the end of the video, but let me be clear. 80% sure that I said this in the video, but these two costumes are not different enough for me to make two separate videos on. I go over their differences, I address how they are different, and that is all that these two costumes require. They do not require two separate videos. You clearly didn't finish the video when you commented.

Edit: I actually had to stop the video literally right before you said "you know what, I'm gonna do this" XD I apologize, so sorry about that unfortunate timing. But then again, you also got me when you said you wouldn't talk about them, and then you did. Guess that's the downside of non-scripted videos, they kinda just go with the flow so you really have to watch the whole thing. Anyway even when you did, you still made the changes out to be completely insignificant, when I'd argue they were significant enough. You point them out but say they're pretty much the same suit. It's the same design philosophy, but the suit is more than just a few alterations here and there, it looks like they completely remade it and actually had a different approach to it the second time. So I would argue that they're completely different suits. But for the sake of this 20-minute video, you made the right call. Think you could've spent a just a little more time talking about how the differences affect the overall design of the suits, but what you did was sufficient. I get this is an opinion piece and it's your video, but I mean the front spiders alone make a huge impact on how I view these two suits. I understand that may not be the case for everyone. And hey, it's your content and if this is how you usually roll, then that's fine, I just need to be more aware of it. I don't actually have any beef with you or anything and I only meant to offer a differing perspective, so I don't want you to take anything I said personally.
