Deion should have redshirted Cormani, he wasn't ready for the spot yet or the responsibilities yet. On top of that, this dude is slow, didn't take coaching well as he kept reverting back to his high school ways. Cormani was our lowest rated corner according to PFF at 51.6. Couldn't tackle, could get his stance correctly leaning his nose over his toes. Too slight last year, no way he should have been on the field.

  • Come on Matt! Winners win and losers??? One thing you can be assured of, the DB competition at Colorado is at a level beyond any program in CFB. Stars mean nothing once you arrive, and just the fact that Cormani decided to miss out on the summer program, strut onto the campus and expect the idolation he has probably had since peewee football, shows he wasn't really ready to ball. I assure you, Coach Prime wanted him to be Him, but it wan't going to be gifted him. Missing meetings and class and expecting the standard to be the standard for everyone but himself?? He knew he wasn't going to start, and unfortunately, still doesn't see himself as the creator of his own condition. Wish him well, and we'll be fine without him.

Still, the last 30 seconds were designed to create a false narrative that insinuates CU doesn’t develop players, which objectively, is an irrational conclusion considering that CU’s Coach Prime era has only existed for a year, which anyone with Matt’s football acumen would agree with if they’re being intellectually honest. CP is going into his second year what structure does any program have in one year? You have player who was ranked in the top 15 in high school, this is not high school this is a power 5 college football team and if you don't watch film, and show up late to meeting you can have all the player development you want, at some point it is on the player and if he does not put in the work then he won't improve. @Iifooley@Iifooley14 күн бұрын
  • Cormani is a good kid!! Deion hasnt proven that he can develop kids. A good recruiter does equal a good coach. Deion does not have a coaching philosophy, like a defensive/offensive scheme. He simply brings in coaches like he brings in recruits and lets them go when they have a difference of opinion. Not saying that he wont develop into a good coach but right now he should be a coordinator or position coach learning from head coaches that have a proven record of developing kids. Deion doesnt have one kid on his resume that he developed, not even his own. He paid people to do that too. Gonna regret losing this kid for sure. Best of luck to Cormani!!

  • Colorado coaching staff is not ready for a player of Cormani's stature yet. Colorado coaching staff needs to work out the kinks in their program. Once the coaching staff figures it out then I can see top players going there. I don't want to watch Travis and Sheduer have another losing season but it looks like that's what will happen.
