    • Joe Kearney- I'm not denying there's a place for them. I just had a 2021 Pro Xp Ultimate with shock therapy springs and the capability was just ridiculous. They take almost no skill to drive, which takes all the fun away. You can just floor it and hit 3' moguls while drinking a beer. I find absolutely no fun in that. I sold it with 150miles. Plus (midwest) where I am they are destroying the trails. They just aren't made for that size of a machine going at that speed by dumba$$ that don't know how to drive. Out west in the dunes or Moab sure.

    • @@1993kramer Yea I grew up riding 3 wheelers into four wheelers since 89-90 and have had a lot of different 4wheelers over the years . I agree with your assessment about the downside to the SxS craze is all the massive lifted ones destroying trails making a lot of holes and areas almost impassible for the average 4wheeler . I only dipped into SxS’s starting with our 2020 Maverick Trail DPS 1000 . It’s 50” width and peppy power made it fantastic in the mountains . Just decided to upgrade is all. I have no plans whatsoever of “ 8” portals on 44s” and all that . I’ve ridden my sportsman xp 1000 in the mountains and I’ll say the comfort level of the sportsman certainly shines in those rough trails for a 4wheeler .

It's quiet , smooth, roomy , comfy , lots of storage lots of fuel capacity It is a long ride cruiser, good climber and plows snow very well with a 6 foot blade . Can am was not an option for me with all the extra noises that the machines make . Polaris forget it , having the 4x4 system disconnect in reverse what a joke and steering stem failures. The power of the cf moto is predictable and just right for two up riding . • I own three CF Moto's, the 400, 500 camo and 800XC. I have ZERO bitches, moans or complaints and we ride in Western Colorado from desert sands to 11,000ft mountain trails. The 400 stays here on the property, it is the beater work horse used for much more than it was designed for. The 500 and 800 are our trail machines, we have ZERO complaints and we aren't 'easy' on the machines, we usethem as intended and push the limits without a single failure, NONE of the miles put on these machines are easy miles. We are very pleased with the quality, ride (especially on the 800), the handling (my wife is 5' 2" and LOVES the power steering on her 500) and I especially appreciate the price and warranties. Do yourself a favor, if you are in the market for a new machine check out a CFMoto, I looked at and rode every other brand and CFMoto had EVERYTHING I wanted and it was all STANDARD vs no option at all or I had to add them myself to the others.

  • Fantastic video chad! I was just talking to my best friend a couple days ago about the fact Polaris has went full crazy with their prices ! I have never recommended any secondary brand to anyone due to build quality and parts/service availability, but now at this point the msrp on the cfmoto 1000 makes a huge difference . My gosh 4-5k$ less out the gate ??? I personally hope they steal a few sales and make the big two lower their prices back to reality . 14.5k-16.5k$ for a four wheeler? Lol . That being said I really like can am these days. If money wasn’t an issue I’d gladly trade my 19 sportsman xp premium 1000 on an outlander xt 1000 in a second to go with my can am X3 DS Turbo 64” SxS . I’d like an opportunity to throw a leg over a CF Moto 1000 to get a feel for it’s overall construction R&D and quality of the little things, that in turn will help you decide if the engineers put real effort into the meat and potatoes of the machine . Polaris engineers are hit and miss when they design a machine drunk , or sober.

The reviews lean toward the cam-am with top speed and aggressive trail riding, but what I don’t see many of are reviews that cover towing, land work, such as food plots and snow plowing. But hey, we can drop $1000+ on a ride command screen, ya the thing that's free on your phone and that can be mounted to you bike with ram mounts for under $100. The built in is cool, but I want a lock and ride roto gas can mount, passenger hand warmers, and a rear box that is anything but the fugly double box grandpamo ile one they sell. These days, you're lucky to find a complete Can Am Outlander at the dealer, without missing parts. I don't think Polaris is as bad, but given their surcharges and dealers price gouging the hell out of customers, CFMoto seems like the best alternative. Plus, the CFMoto has a one-year warranty on their ATV vs 6 months from Can Am and Polaris.

Where everything you've said is accurate now as it was 4 years ago. The build quality on the Can Am was better, The Polaris was just more comfortable and ended up being almost $3k cheaper than the Outlander 850 I was looking at. Shit, it was cheaper than the Grizzly 700, Honda rubicon as well!! I couldn't be any happier :-) But now when I look at upgrading to a 1k, it's ridiculous how expensive they have gotten! Polaris is about to lose a crap load of it's market share. If I am going to spend $15K+ on a quad, the Can Am's are the better option. Polaris needs to revamp the 850-1000 line up completely! • I haven’t commented or made a video in awhile, I’ve been on hiatus. I couldn’t get the time off I wanted to ride my Sportsman and make videos so I changed jobs, got my CDL and learned how to drive a trash truck. It seams they’re trying to appeal people that are new to the market with the 570 and all the options and bolt on accessories. There are a lot of new riders out there but even the price point of the 570 seems to be high with the ride command edition being $500 less than what I paid for my 1000 premium edition back in 2019. Inflation and demand might have something to do with the increased prices. With that being said, I’m glad that I bought my Sportsman when I did. I could sell it pretty much for the same price that I purchased it for because the ATV market out here in Colorado is crazy right now.

A lot of the trails I ride, have been torn up by SxSs and Jeeps but every so often I see a 48 inch wide bridge or a river crossing that leads down cool little random trails that a Sportsman S couldn’t fit down. So I’ll just have to keep my current Sportsman. But I would definitely choose a Yamaha Grizzly 700 over a Sportsman 570 if I went that route.

But I’m buying for bang for the buck and I have to say that cf moto is the way I’m leaning. With diff lock and bead lock wheels let alone the wench and boxes that come on the 1000. I think I may take my chances and give them a shot. For the price alone I’m 6 grand cheaper then a Polaris. And it’s 2 up so me and the wife can ride. :).

While moose hunting and approx 30 km since being serviced the atv burnt to the ground. Fortunately I was not burnt and there was no forest fire. Currently I am trying to get warranty for replacement from argo’s head office in Minnesota. So far the solution offered is let your insurance company know and collect from them. @DirtObseXXion@DirtObseXXion2 жыл бұрын
    • @@DirtObseXXion Understood. While tracks work on soft ground, I would not advise them. The bearings and drive + idler wheels would wear quickly and could also get jammed in thick mud. They work pretty well in snow. They intrinsically provide a 40% gear reduction, and it needs it. Tracks have a lot of rolling friction. And they are heavy. The Camoplast replaces a ~35 pound wheel/tire with a 60 lb track. It's worse with the Mattracks. They have articulating idler wheels, a taller and stronger frame, and a metal primary sprocket. The added features mean addd weight. They weigh 110 lbs EACH.

Lots of standard features, best price and I think the best looking. I don't need the most powerful because I won't be racing and I sure as hell don't need to spend a lot of extra money just because of a name. I saw a video earlier today at some mud fest and the can-am didn't fair so well and it was beaten by a cfmoto. • I think Polaris's rear IRS would be a bit more drag in the the mud than CanAms trailing arm design but I think I mentioned that in the vid.. Other than that I think the Outlaws Polaris uses are the superior tires.. Im not a mud guy tho so I'd digress to the experience I've had with both which would make me lean towards the CanAm

  • I'm on a waiting list for a Can-Am Outlander Max 850 XT. Heck, I think 850cc's are way over the top and I really don't see myself using all the machine's capability. But that's precisely why I ordered it. I don't think I'll ever be wanting for power, and the tandem long wheelbase seating should provide for a nice cush ride. So 1000cc's? I'll pass.

    • @@nettodd The top complaints I'm seeing in the CFMOTO vid I did is on engine failure and electrical issues.. One mechanic pointed out the poor metallurgy that is an issue for longevity.. They seem to be pretty good short term machines because the owners who were happy with them have 2yr old or less machines with less than 2,000 miles..

      @DirtObseXXion@DirtObseXXion2 жыл бұрын
    • @@DirtObseXXion I could see if that was an issue a couple years ago and these issues of bad motors are coming to light now, but do newer or fresher machines still plague with same issues?

      @nettodd@nettodd2 жыл бұрын
    • @@nettodd I wouldn't call it a plague.. More of a gamble. I think they've improved motor-wise, my primary concern would be metallurgy.. Engine Mounts, shock mounts, weld quality and that kind of thing. Of course we won't truly know if there has been improvements with recent models until they get some serious time and miles on them consistently without failure. Japanese machines have earned a reputation for quality after 40-50 years of putting out quality machines. CFMOTOs were pretty terrible as recently as 17-18 year models from what I've seen. That's why a lot of guys who have been around the sport for a long time won't touch them. We're only 3-4 years past the point where guys were reporting catastrophic failures way too often. They do offer enticing value for some folks though, so I hope for their sake they have improved.. I personally am not willing to bet 10k that they have..

  • great video, but honestly the price of these atv's have just gone bonkers,.for example up here in Canada I just looked up the local Polaris, can am and cfmoto dealers and for a base 850 Polaris touring $15800, and that folks is bare bones! can am max xt 850 $15700, cfmoto 1000 overland $16300. realistically the cfmoto is only 850 power class shouldn't even be considered in the 1000 class. anyway my point here is Polaris have lost their way! more expensive than a can am that has a winch, bumpers hand guards ect. and for $500 more look what the cfmoto offers!!! completely loaded. so much for Polaris being the budget option that they had build there reputation on.. best bang for the buck is looking like cfmoto. just my opinion!!!!

  • There is much to like about the CFMoto. What I can't get my head around is that it is a Chinese product made in China. I'd much prefer to buy products from countries that are not oppressive dictatorships. Granted when companies price themselves out of the market or continue to ignore mechanical issues the buying public are put in a tough spot. If and when CFMoto owns the ATV market those other manufacturers will only have themselves to blame. Consumers will not for long buy overpriced unreliable products.

  • I wish I could like this video 10 times, in my Fly racing underwear. -There's probably more Chinese parts on the Polaris, than the CFMoto. -Polaris knows there's SERIOUS problems with their ATV and have fixed none of them. Yet continually jack up their price. They're the Harley Davidson of ATV's. -Ever since Can Am went to the same suspension travel and extra width, I'm not sure the Polaris is still more comfortable. People like the low seat, but I find the higher seat is easier to grip with my legs. -I humbly request you race an 850 Renegade versus a 1k Polaris. That video would be really interesting lol
