'India is non-west & not anti-West' : Jaishankar at Munich Security Conference

2024 ж. 18 Ақп.
464 201 Рет қаралды

During a panel discussion at Munich Security Conference on 17 February, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said that there is a distinction between being non-West & anti-West. He added,'I would characterise India as a country which is non-West but a nation which has an extremely strong relation with the Western Countries, and that is getting better by the days.' US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock were also present at the panel discussion. Jaishankar also said that India is not a transactional actor in foreign policy, but it is a firm believer in a multi-polar approach to global affairs. Watch the full discussion:

  • As a Srilankan Canadian, I admire the foreign minister Jayasekara for representing not only the Indian people but the global south. He is an asset for all the people who suffer from Western hypocrisy politics for centuries. Good job, foreign minister Mr. Jayasekara.

Also as you live in Canada, no doubt you acknowledge how great the freedom, democracy and economic and social prosperity in the West is? If not, the question must be asked why you wish to live in the West, something about it is clearly vastly superior to your homeland that you or your ancestors left to migrate here?

Led to riots and loss of lives during CAA protest. Farmers ran through Delhi and even took over Red FORT. CAA rules have not been formulated and act has not been implemented. Manipur went from peaceful to complete breakdown.

Although I do not subscribe to many of the divisive and counter productive policies of the BJP, I have the highest appreciation and respect for what our PM has achieved in the last decade. In the same vein, the same applies to what EAM Jaishankar has achieved in foreign policy and Nitin Gadkari in infrastructure development.

One particular example would be the audacious demand made to Singapore to replace one of their national languages Tamil with Hindi. Singapore subsequently gave a sharp reply indicating the contributions of Tamils in their independence and development. The unnecessary expenses incurred in making Hindi one of the UN official languages was another embarrassment.

We have seen west in the past and present. It is clear when US and west supported Pak in the face of genocide in the past and we have seen in present time bringing pressure on Bangladesh. How politely and condensedingly she has been aggressive!!🤨 This is same germany that has pledged to give money for environmental cause to India but hasn't..it was just announcement. When earth is at the stake. But she is preaching about keeping our differences away when germany needs help. As Indian citizen, i can't remember a time in our past when any european nation helped us other than our capable younger brother France. Yes, USA has helped India in 1962. But not a single European nation during our wars. Even to this day, Europe is more racist towards India then USA, infact, USA has least racism problem towards us amongst all of white man country including Russia because there are two kind of Russian, those who love India or those who think India is like Bangladesh brown gareeb people who don't eat cow. Though our friend, even France has it. Don't put Israel in this club. They are Little country. Good people. Hence, to listen a lacture from European, who stole from us and became rich...thou shall not preach🤨🤫.

The focus is on adapting to the effects of climate change and preserving biodiversity. 14 bilateral projects with a total volume of 56.01 million euros are currently being carried out. In addition, India will be supported as one of the implementing countries within the framework of 21 global and regional projects with a total volume of 254.9 million euros for all implementing countries. According to the answer, two projects with a total volume of 10.8 million euros are currently being funded for the funding program against marine litter. It is an ongoing process. However, the German economy is not in good shape right now, I hope it will still be able to follow through on its commitments.

      @sabinereynaudsf@sabinereynaudsf2 ай бұрын
    • @@sabinereynaudsf don't take it by your heart. We Indians will work towards climate goals, whether you pay or not. I simply used this situation to demonstrate the double standard Europe has. Since I used money issue, it could give different feeling. Hence, I am using another example. India and Pakistan has fight 4 wars. Kashmir issue to this day. India and China has fight 1 war, atleast 6 face offs. Not a single time European union said any thing for us. Today, they want our support when they are fighting in Ukraine. She said let's forget past. But past can be forgotten only if there is ☝🏽or two case of infidelity. But when it is 11, you can't even call it infidelity. You have to take it as strategy. Hence it is a strategy of EU. As soon as they get their objective in Russia ukrain war, India Pakistan China may fight and die .... No Fs given. Hence, as you can understand my friend, we Indians are far too quick to fall in the trap. It's our time to profit in your wars. Until now, EU and Russia and USA used to profit from our war and misery. But now, we shall reap from your sufferings and no amount of preaching is going to stop us. We learned it from western nations.
