I feel it’s important to note that the tab at the base of the doors are there first and foremost for increased safety in side impacts! - Source Lars Moravy with Tesla Also the rear display will give my customers control over their climate, seat heating AND moving the passenger front seat forward for leg room which is HUGE in the rideshare space. The amount of time I spend bending over to move that forward and back 😮💨

@@kareemsherif7070 I’ve become bi lingual in units at this point haha but yeah it does show mph really small below my bigger km speed. I see the numbers so much that I’ve memorized a lot of them 😝
Most real review of the M3+ (highland) I have seen, because you as a 150K M3 driver can genuinely make a comparison with the older model .

This car is incredible. Coming from my early 2018 3, it feels like a completely different car. Waiting till performance trim is announced before picking one to upgrade.
I'm very eagerly awaiting the performance as well. It's supposed to really stand out apart from the other two according to the team.

Yep! Amazing update. My ‘21 3LR has been a great ‘no issue’ car for nearly 28 months but my hand is reaching for my wallet now. Thanks for the review.

I love the detail you went through like talking about the scuffing when entering the car because that is what I experienced and noticed when i had my M3LR. Everyone else is just focused on the same basic topics of "noise, steering wheel, suspension".

We just placed our order for M3 Highland and can't wait to take delivery and this car will replace my wife's 2018 M3 long range, which we dearly loved. Love everything I have learned about this car and agree it is beautiful

Thanks for the video and the details! That's great to know about the scuff resistance on the floor plates! I hope you can do the same video on the performance because I'm like you, have a 2020 M3P. I'm hoping the performance version still has a nice suspension upgrade to dampen the vibration/noise, yet good for taking the curves also. Something perhaps adjustable like the S maybe? Can't wait to see the details! Thanks my friend!

I just took one for a test drive today. The one negative thing that stuck out fir me was I thought the turn signal noise was really loud. Probably because the car is so dang quiet.
Yeah I’d bet that’s why it’s more noticeable lol the internal acoustics would be more noticed I think. I wonder if the Joe mode would help that?

When did you order?
Had mine since November! One of a few hundred in Europe. Love it, except for Tesla Vision …. Very hit and miss in winter conditions … The fabric in doors on the RWD look better than the Alcantara IMO, it matches better with the new fabric panel across the dashboard. Used to own a 2019 LR.

@@CYBRLFTBTW 99% get this wrong, the “speaker” in the roof bar is not a speaker, but in fact where the dual microphones are. Since adding the alternate gear shifters in the roof, the microphones had to go somewhere. 😅 Your video was great btw!

The video I want to see you do as a fellow scientist type , is to put autonomous vehicle signs ( preferably on all 4 sides) of your car to see how people treat you differently? I think it would be a good idea for a while if all AV’s were marked , making the interaction with humans smother.
@CYBRLFT Not sure would it make a entire video but would love to hear all the expenses you have had with your model 3, tires, brakes and if you have had any other repairs done to it. You should be at 200k miles soon? And battery degradation, how many miles did you get when you first bought the car vs now. Keep the good work up!💯
I appreciate it! Great suggestion. I’ll make that video before I trade my car in! Now that I’m back to driving my 3 full time I’ll get pretty close to 200k miles likely by the time I trade in. I’m at 154k miles now.
I also saw that there will be a new wave of FSD transfers (please check not 100% verified info) so this could be a perfect time for getting the new model 3.

On the new seats, I've heard the tiny holes collect dirtor other debrus that is hard to remove. I would love cooling in the seats, but curious about this.

What color are you choosing for your new M3P? My 2021 M3P was blue, but if I got the new updated version, I'd probably go for the new red. (Oh just heard you say stealth gray in the vid.) I hope there are some fun surprises when they finally drop the new Performance spec. Plaid (or Ludicrous) in a 3 would be so delightful. Can you imagine a ~700+ HP 3?
The team couldn’t say much but they did say it’s aiming to really stand out from the other two 3’s. Perhaps full aero bigger breaks and such. It’s supposed to be an ideal track car. But yeah it was between red and stealth grey but man I’m about 90% sure I’m going stealth grey. Tribute to Mew. And keeping the Mjölnir feel.

Interesting that you liked the steering wheel so much, I thought it was one of the worst things about my test drive as the stitching on the back was so uncomfortable
Weird didn’t notice the stitching issue at all. Might have been that car.

How much will Tesla’s current FSD transfer offer affect your decision to pull the trigger on a new model 3?
I can't speak to Cybrlft's reasoning, but I did the FSD transfer in Q3 2023 and it was a huge deciding factor.
Not a deciding factor at all for me given I subscribe to FSD, I don’t own it.

What are your thoughts about the ultra red colour for the 3?
It looks fantastic and is the only other color I’d consider honestly. But I’m very attached to this color for obvious reasons haha.
I'm thinking of replacing a fleet of 5 corollas for Model 3's by end of this year. What sort of issues should I expect for 150k miles?
Tires tires tires haha. It’s good to do an annual checkup with Tesla. They’ll replace wipers, cabin air filter and give the car a general checkup. If you’re getting older model 3s like mine, it depends on how they’ve been cared for by the owners.
Great videos!! I believe they put a halt on V 12.1.2 not sure why they gave up so quick.. I think I'm going to get another Mini Cooper S. Going to keep my Y pro but this is frustrating... Nice video. As someone who has experience with the M3 have you had any major issues with your Tesla? The new model 3 is gorgeous. It is a joy to drive. I fell in love with it. Two weeks ago I placed my order for the LR stealth grey black interior. My first EV. Excited just a little nervous not knowing what to expect. Is it a reliable car ? Thank you Aaron
Extraordinarily reliable and I know that may sound hyperbolic. My SR+ 2020 Model 3 has handled over 150,000 miles of extreme use and over 25,000 people in and out of it through heavy rideshare work and it’s held up wonderfully. Now on mine specifically I did have to replace my battery at 137,000 but that won’t be the case for yours given we have different battery chemistries and I supercharged my car 3 times a day on average which is insanely hard on the NMC battery cars. There are two videos on my channel about that experience if you search CYBRLFT Battery replacement they should pop up. But your car will have the LFP battery or lithium iron phosphate which can handle way more cycle life than mine does. And with more range you’ll charge less than me as well. But home charging is far better for the car than always using the high powered stuff in my case. Those new iron phosphate packs are so much better at handling energy exchange.
My car is LR so it won't have the LFP battery only RWD. I will definitely look for your video regarding battery replacement. Thank you for your response

@@cellman1829 I’m pretty sure. You got me wanting to double check but I was told by a senior employee at UTC that both the new SR and LR have the LFP pack and he wasn’t sure if the performance will given the power spec.

If there was an available tax credit on the 3 and the ability to move FSD over I'd be tempted to make the switch. Still none to test drive out here in the hinterlands.
We’ve got the FSD transfer I think and unlimited charging transfer. I’d look into that! I’m not positive what’s excluded.
