  • Still bothers me the way Fox handled the holding penalty. Several times Greg Olsen talks about Bradberry’s left hand. He clearly didn’t see the hold which took place prior to that with his right hand. There was one angle that clearly showed Juju’s jersey stretching as Bradberry grasped it with his right hand. Fox only displayed that angle one time. They played a separate clip a dozen times despite the fact that it began after the actual hold. This lead to many annoying Eagles fans telling everyone they met about the NFL’s conspiracy to steal their title… ugh

    @RobbieWebster@RobbieWebster Жыл бұрын
    • Oh please, most of us Eagles fans flat out said that call was not the reason the Eagles lost. Chiefs played the Eagles better in the trenches than any team all year, both protecting Mahomes and getting after Hurts. Doesn't take away from the fact that the call was annoying, and the perfect example of ticky-tack. You have to let the players decide the game unless it's a completely flagrant foul.

  • I noticed on the 2 point conversion that Karlaftis was there in good position taking on 2 blockers and he is still almost in position to make the tackle but may have been pushed out of making a play by his own teammate and you can tell Karlaftis is like "how did that happen? Hurts has some incredible strength to get through to the end zone.

    @David-Chiefsfan@David-Chiefsfan Жыл бұрын
    • Good eye. *Thornhill* and *McDuffie* were the key, if either of them had made a slightly better reaction, KC had a reasonably good chance to stop Hurts. *Thornhill* appears to shove *Karlaftis* out of position to make a play on *Hurts* - as you mentioned, and then *Thornhill* failed to extend his arms to attempt a tackle, himself. Instead, he lowered his shoulder and allowed Hurts to out-leverage him while carrying a football. It's possible that *Thornhill* may have been shoved just a bit by *Gay* who was attempting to make the tackle. *McDuffie* did an impressive job slipping the block in the end zone then appeared to have a decent shot at stopping Hurts short of the goal line as well, but he took a slightly wider angle than necessary and mostly whiffs, barely grazing *Hurts.* KC was set up well to stop that conversion, but couldn't seem to get out of each other's way

And I am still in awe, that they could beat Eagles, because Eagles is so damn great team. Other thoughts: Titans' GM was fired, because he sold AJ Brown to Eagles, it is easy to see now. Hurts is an incredible QB rushing himslef 3 TD:s, but after the game I was also wondering, if everything is too much dependent on him in Eagles? Eagles have many great players, but Hurts is taking whole lot of load to himself, whereas what comes to Chiefs, although Mahomes is incredible as well, achieving the win felt more like multiple-player-effort compared to Eagles - sometimes it felt like it was Chiefs vs. Hurts (or Hurts' willpower). Mahomes and Kelce were again phenomenal together. Pacheco was also something else.

  • I wasn't invested in either team as my team lost in the playoffs--so I didn't care who won--but man. That was quite a fun game to watch. Usually the playoffs are the entertaining games, and the SB can be a let down for various reasons, but that game was a slugfest from the start. I thoroughly enjoyed watching every moment.

    • Greg Olsen should have gotten demolished for this, freeze frame at 25:11 shows how clear the hold was and even Bradberry himself admitted to it a few months after, but Greg's comments drove the media and fans alike into a frenzy. Completely unfair to the refs, the winners, how classic this game was, and to the sport as a whole. If you think the refs got it wrong, you gotta be 100% certain - especially at the grandest stage of them all, the deciding play in the Superbowl.

    • @@BubblesBub434I’m not sure what your not understanding. It’s the last 2 minutes of the super bowl the biggest stage. You let the players play it out. Unless it’s a blatant huge ridiculous call that your forced to make then you let the players decide the game. Eagles or chiefs I’m not a fan of either and it doesn’t matter which team got the call either way it was a ridiculous call. You don’t make a terrible call like that at the end of the super bowl.
