  • i actually cried during this song, i’ve been struggling with anorexia and things like that because of how self conscious i am of body and how i just can’t be “perfect” but there is absolutely no type of thing that is perfect, nobody is or will be perfect. the beauty standards are nothing but rules that don’t need to be followed. everyone is beautiful in their own way, and this song completely covers that. thank you.❤️

  • I remember the first time I heard this song I was about 8-9 on the radio during a road trip. My mom turned around and told me to never change myself for others and I’m beautiful the way I am. When we got back to our house, I heard it again and got super happy and started listening to it over and over. I’m now 14 and I’ve been listening to it ever since.     • I have the same problem I am underweight I have Anorexia and I try to cover it with makeup but this made me think "do I really need to do this?" and I am slowly putting on weight and I would like to thank you and please let me give you a tip don't look at your weight do not step on the scales because if you don't know your weight it isn't sitting on your mind I find when I don't know my weight I put weight on that I need and it really helps to have people like you around so please help yourself

  • When I was little, I sang this without knowing what it meant. Everybody around me was shocked but me being me I still sang it calling people beautiful and pretty. This one time I sang I to a woman that was crying and it cheered her up :) I sang it to so many people but now I know what It means And I'm proud of myself.
