    • I mean if you look at the grander scheme of things, they didn't do the most. No crazy sounds or lighting or sets. Just some stars in the background, dancing, and Bruno and Paak singing their asses off. A simple performance but a really effective one. This is a great example of less being more.

    • I'm pretty sure Bruno is switching between sync and live audio. You can hear those tell-tale live mic artifacts like the popping and breathing in some parts of the performance and not in others. And I'm pretty sure the background vocals are just track. They sound completely identical to the official audio. And not in a "wow they're so good" way, more like a "that's literally identical down to the waveform." And I mean... them dance moves got kinda spicy at the end. Gonna be hard to sing through that without getting at least a little breathy. Not to ding them for that or anything. Maybe they'd been laying down a lot of work in the studio and needed to take it easy for this performance. That's completely valid. And I love this song, so they can sync all they want as long as I get the song and the moves lmao

  • No disrespect to other artists today, but Silk Sonic’s popularity really says something. People want music made by MUSICIANS! Artists who have honed their craft through years and years of work, and who came together who put out something truly great.

    • I keep telling folk that back in the day, an "artist" had to actually know music. Singers had a voice and musicians played instruments, not computers-they had to have talent, not merely depend on good lucks and showmanship! One more reason to bring back music curriculum and classes in school, beginning with kindergarten.
