  • I’ve never been able to do them before and was so confused about how it seemed so easy for other people. The second you showed that my keyboard might have delays between inputs because of how it scans, I opened the superglide trainer, tried it for the C, V, and B keys, and there it was! My B key scans a little slower than my other ones, so I set B as alternate crouch and I’ve been running around in the training range for the last hour hitting superglides for the first time ever!! This is an amazing video! Thank you!

  • It was so buffling to see myself be 90% consistent with superglides on my 2008 logitech gamepad that was a month away from dying, but being almost unable to do anything on my mech keyboard. And then the trainer came out - and it all started to make sense (about to see maybe I can do smth about it)

  • In the past 2 months I've finally grasped doing it consistently (on console). The things that helped me the most were your previous video with the location in the firing range to clear the gap, putting the camera on 3rd person, and using wraith (I usually play Pathy in the range so I can grapple around). I also found it easier to do off short ledges at first- still do. And for the past 2 months during a ranked season where placement was so important for points, I had lots of time to practice on different objects around the map. One of the best times to practice is when crafting- you shouldn't be standing still while waiting for your bats to craft, so why not try a superglide off the nearest object while waiting :) Thanks for all your tips!

      @V1CirylYT@V1CirylYT3 ай бұрын
  • 2:47 The mechanics of a super glide from what I’ve observed combine two things the PRIMARY reason for the sliding part is that when you slide while landing on a surface out of a mantle or jumping and landing onto an object, you get a little boost that is indicated by increased FOV, that same FOV effect is present in superglides. My theory is that by jumping the second you finish the mantle, there is an overlap between barely finishing the mantle anim. And starting a jump, this you are giving yourself enough “hight” to trigger the boost when you then slide, but because the slide input is one frame apart from the jump input there is another overlap. The game must be combining the 3 mechanics into one. Thus, you climb to the top of a wall and (in the game’s “mind”) you are jumping while you’re supposed to be getting the boost from sliding while falling onto an edge or an object, so you jump in the middle of this slide boost propelling you just over the top of the object you used to glide, eliminating friction while carrying that “landing boost” that you tricked the game into giving you. Ergo: SUPERGLIDE! 😊

  • That's neat mate , impressive walkthrough, love the tool made it easy to identify keyboard issue I used to feel but never had a proof, because of you i just changed the space from the jump and made it to the v , as their were always input lag there and I used to bind the mouse keys ... but now 'C' & 'V' are my new binds :D

  • This is a lot more efficient than how I learned, I just brute forced it until I finally did it twice in a row, then I just kept trying to do it in pubs/ranked no matter what and about a week of practice I hit superglides like it’s a slide jump. My consistency when I’m subconsciously doing it has risen to 80-90% percent of the time

    @kutoro4497@kutoro44976 ай бұрын
    • I never knew how it happens I just know I superglide about 60% of the time I mantle something. Now I can actually do some practice. Between learning the superglide and my recent habit of crouching anytime I leave the ground, i'mma be a lot harder to hit soon.

    • Same lol. I just brute forced it in the firing range back when I learned about it. Boy did I struggle more than I should have, but eventually I got it once, and then I got it twice and then I just got it better and better

  • Hello mokey, I tried the superglide trainer and I was only able to get 1.87 frames at most using ctrl+spcbr so I tried your c+v setup to instant results. I still cant do it consistently in-game but the fact that I was able to do it and was limited by my keyboard itself was something I would've never known without your video. I hope to make this movetech a normal part of my gameplay going forward. Cheers.

  • When you released the superglide trainer it helped me so much! I had just got my wooting and I went and just kept changing actuation points until I was getting overall consistency of about 80%. I’d take a screenshot and save it in a folder so I could refer back to it (which wooting profile, % consistency, did I have my keys upside down etc) And I went from hitting maybe 1/30 on 240fps to probably 8/10 now, and can do sideways, backwards and side to side. Still not perfect by any means, but just so much better than when I started. Also I completely agree with what you said about the foot on the object instead of during the mantle. When I do the mantle I try to imagine viewing the character model stepping on the ledge haha.

    • What keys an delay Do you use just curious Cuzco got a wooting too

      @shiirocsgo5311@shiirocsgo53113 ай бұрын
    • Sorry mane. Totally missed your reply. So atm I’m actually rebuilding my PC so I can’t access the wootility sadly but I feel it’s 1.1 jump 1.4 crouch toggle. I personally use space as jump and V as crouch toggle and I use my thumb to press them both at the same time. A lot of people do the same but with C but i just find V more comfortable. What id recommend if you don’t know where you start is to go with mine, or any other movement creator (pretty sure Leamondhead has a video where he talks about his Wooting settings) and then use the superglide trainer and experiment by moving the actuation points and maybe have some way of recording your progress to see what works for you, everyone is different at the end of the day. Also maybe experiment with flipping your space keycap or V keycap and seeing how that alters your consistency. For me I use spacebar flipped. TLDR; spacebar with keycap flipped 1.1 V for crouch toggle on 1.4

  • *STILL CAN’T SUPERGLIDE ON CONSOLE FIX* I don’t know if anyone has talked about this but certain Xbox controllers have delays on inputs (i.e. Elite Series 2, certain Scufs, etc.) A way to get around this is to activate CO-PILOT on a standard Xbox One or Series X/S controller while your normal controller is connected. You set up co-pilot by going into Xbox accessories and turning on your stock Xbox One or Series X/S controller. Once you’ve activated co-pilot… 1. Turn both controllers off. 2. Turn on the controller you want to use that’s bugged for superglides. 3. Turn on the other controller that is connected to co-pilot. 4. Turn off your bugged controller. 5. Turn on your bugged controller. 6. Both should be on, your bugged controller should work.

    @GaaraFPS@GaaraFPS6 ай бұрын
    • No, he's decreasing the gap with every tutorial. He's not sharing things high skill players don't know, he's sharing things us below might now know so we can try to keep up.

      @-user_redacted-@-user_redacted-6 ай бұрын
    • @@-user_redacted- Which means that the average person's skill level is rising, increasing skill gap with new players or those who do not actively try to look up tutorials and "train" for the game, and just try to get better by playing. Before, only high elo ranked players were skill gapping others, now the average player can skill gap others in different areas. Similarly to how challenger players in seasons 2-5 in league couldn't achieve certain combos that now are done by every lee sin player in any elo. The overall skill level of players is increasing.

It helped me confirm the actuation point of my space is pretty much right before it bottoms out while my letter key acuate at like 70% of the way down. For how I have to adjust to press the keys consistently feels just like how it feels in game, I just know when I hit it right. My consistency isn't great but I've pulled out the muscle memory I learned from the site randomly in crucial in game scenarios. I'll never forget my Newcastle ult to superglide to get my friends banner before it expires and having the discord pop off after I said "no, I got you."

  • Thank you so much for this very informative video. Too often would I be unsure of whether or not I actually hit the glide; sometimes it feels like I'm going somewhat far, but not that fast or as far as I'd think I should be able to go with a real superglide. I can't wait to experiment in the training grounds later and I suspect the spot you showed that can only be reached via superglide will be the most helpful diagnostic tool. I don't think my hardware is the issue, but in the event it is I have considered getting a new one anyway-I'll probably wooting 60; extra keys are always nice, but I think the extra mouse space would be extremely helpful for improving my aim and consistency.

  • To build more on the whole camera turn trick, I've come to discover the same method works even better vertically. Kinda how you need to flick your mouse down for a mantle jump, the moment the camera starts to move down, hit your jump+crouch combo and take off. I actually hit way more consistently with it and unlike the camera turn trick, you can actually use it pretty reliably as a crutch (or training tech) during a game. Just be ready to flick your shot if you're trying it during live fire.

  • I noticed the exact same issue on my KEYCHRON k7. Impossible with space + c but almost perfect accuracy with q + e. Super interesting that you found out the exact reasoning for this problem

  • Great video, helps out a lot ! I just have a quick feedback on the superglide trainer, do you think it would be possible to add optional sound cues to know if we hit the timing or not ? I don't know how involved you are in developing the tool but I think it would be a great addition. Anyways, thanks for an already great training tool nonetheless !
