  • I remember when the Giro was a predetermined race where it was 90% guys soft pedalling and 10% racing. Now days, it's a full on war.

  • I couldn't have thought that Thomas would chase Tadej today. Yesterday he limited his chase, but today he wants to follow until the last second. It is impressive that the player willing to chase down Tadej is a veteran born in 1986.

    • G really showing his class here. He could have sat up at 1k and followed the pack, but he’s the same guy who chased down Froome, Sagan, and Bodnar in TdF 2016 Stage 11. Just 8 years older now.

  • I've never been a huge Geraint Thomas fan, but the more I watch his post stage interviews, the more I appreciate him and want him to win. Respect to Tadej though, wow, always super classy 🙌 and what a win by Merlier on another amazing stage! This Giro has been awesome so far. 🔥

  • It doesn't matter the comparisons with Eddie Mercx of who is the greater rider, Goat etc etc blah blah blah...its best just to appreciate whilst you can the most exciting, exhilarating , tenacious bicyle rider in the peleton today and possibly of all time, at last racing is brilliant again because of this filterless rider where absolutely nothing is impossible ...WOW SOMETHING SPECIAL INDEED

  • Pogacar is great But wrong here today. Too much effort. His overall goal sd be win tour 2024 He can win giro easily here. He sd win giro going on cruise mode. For tour. He keeps on like this in giro he loses tour Vingegaard will be at tour 2024. Will win it again. Is first week of tour hard? Not sprinter stages? If vingegaard loses tour it will be due to a hard first week, week 3 v will be great

  • Pogi is doing really well, but I feel like he should relax, especially on sprinter days idk maybe it’s just me but he has the tour right after and possibly vuelta if he decides to do the triple, but he should be taking time on mountain stages!

    • I think, his strategy the last days and even today wasn't that strange. He set all his competitors under full pressure from the beginning on and today, he had realistic chances to win again. He's in a quite comfortable zone already and he won't have to recover long from this final sprint today.

  • Pogacar will likely win the giro, but is he accumulating too many unnecesary efforts that he will pay in the tour? Today, every GC hopefule 'won' the stage but Pogacar and Thomas.. though Thomas might be working a long game plan for Ineos.. nice stage

  • Pogacar wants to win it all. With such a weak opposition, he could win every climbing stage, maybe the 2 TT and virtually every stage where there's a significant climb in the last part. He could establish a record, that's what he's dreaming of.

    • @@danielmacdonald721 I don't think so. I think he is just much more of a well rounded rider which places him at a disadvantage to JV in the tour, who is made for the mountains. I think he definitely has the Giro wrapped, but you're right we will see what happens to him later in the TDF

  • I am a big fan of Pogi , but this is a bullshit . How seconds will be win 5-10 that is a disaster decision every sprinters team will be against him after today. He don’t make a friends in a peloton and everything was for nothing max benefit 5-10 seconds. Absolutely disaster. Let’s go Pogi for the win
