The 14 yr old gave it all he had, I worked in a Juvenile facility inmates from ages 13-19, I’m still telling you age doesn’t matter, I have seen 13 year olds womp on 18-19 yr olds, from what they learned from others that were tougher, no different in MMA. When I was in high school the gym teacher/Wrestling Coach brought in his son who was in middle school 12 yrs old on the Wrestling team, he had his son wrestling us, the boy womped on all of us, skill knows no age.Same thing in Karate the Master brought his son that was 12ish, he also womped on everyone older.

    • @@jesseking2380 You’re an idiot. Age make a MASSIVE difference. The older you are the stronger you are, especially when you’re talking about say a 14 year old and a 20 year old. I’m in my twenties and there’s just no way a 12 year old or 14 year old would be able to out wrestle me. There’s just too much of a difference in strength (skill aside).

    • I did a bit (small bit) of Muay Thai, and a lot of boxing. Sucked at both compared to actual amateur fighters...but I agree the mindset is different. There is a lot of crossover, but it goes way beyond just kicking. The clinch took the most getting use to. There is almost judo level clinch work in Muay Thai, then of course the kicks, the elbows, the knees all come into play. Generalizing a bit...but because the footwork is different (you tend to load up your front leg a ton more in boxing) boxers do punch harder, and have better uperbody and head movement.

The reason why youtubers do boxing besides the fact that theres more money in it is because there isnt anywhere near as steep a learning curve as mma. • Jarvis clearly won that he could’ve knock that kid out cold. If that kid could use his full Maui Thai he might stand a chance. Thai kicks to lower legs can mess up your footwork and your power to punch, elbows and knees are scary too

    @EzrealSama@EzrealSama2 жыл бұрын
    • Zach obviously won that sparring session, The Thai stance is much more square than the boxing stance which let the kid down, and he puffed out as the body is more open for body shots, boxing has a lot of footwork and head movement, but Muay Thai has not a lot of head movement with footwork that is limited as you have dangers such as knees, kicks, elbows or even the Thai clinch. You obviously don’t train in boxing or Muay Thai so you don’t have a knowledge about both sports, this kid would’ve destroyed Jarvis respectfully, a couple of liver kicks from him would drop Jarvis. That’s why he’s a world champ.
