I'm glad I came back into the game last summer. All of my IRL friends decided we should try out Dota again. Soon after the biggest and best patch ever dropped, making the game just awesome

I Miss this one : AA - Old Chilling Touch (Pre 7.20) A frigid gust enchants allied heroes, granting them bonus magical damage for a given number of physical attacks. Each attack slows the enemy movement speed. Ancient Apparition always receives the buff.
Damn, I am playing dota since 2015, but I've completely forgot about this one, thank you for reminding me. As far as I can remember it was something like 3 attacks on lvl 1 and 9 on lvl 4. Good old days..
I remember the dota 1 days that i go mid with my life stealer as a core.. we always kill sf, invo, arc etc. Heroes that doesnt have escape abilities.. First ill cold feet then naix will use open wounds and then ill 3rd use then naix will use rage to negate the minus slow attack speed but the added damage is still there and the enemy mid lane will always frost and die .. ❤

You missed Techies' Land Mines, they work completely different to Proximity Mines and were treated as a wholly different spell.

İmagine you are playing Medusa and nobody hits you when you have mana. This guy doesn't give a shit and take your half hp. No matter how many HP you have, this guy doesn't care.

I'm honestly sad they took this out. Even as a new player i think hes new spells are so shit and just honestly useless for what he does. When are you going within 700 range to actively shield your allies its just weird and plays bad. Referencing the tinker March of machine removal
@@VeryBadPlayerTV it's because that skill is for shielding yourself, and at first it made tinker near impossible to kill, because of 60% status reduction. If not for constant nerfs over 5-6 patches he would be a nightmare to play against. Actually, they need to just redo him. Like Teches, because now he either too weak or too insufferable to play against

i think tinker "blink damage cooldown not refreshable" and "interrupting rearm putting it into cooldown" is just so good nerfs with those up I m okay with any spell they put to tinker. because back then tinker is able to blink away from 0.1 sec inerval damage over time with just rearming. and there is nothing you could do about it. either kill him in stunlock which requires a lot of resources and since he can rocket miles away which was really hard to do. i wouldn't mind if they bring back march even as an extra spell for tinker as long as damage values are balanced. because now you can actually do something to fight tinker.
And the fact that most of the time it's an enemy and when it's finally on your team a noob plays it

You forgot the Old Nature's Guise ability of Treant Protector, which was an ally-target ability that gave them movement speed and invisibility if they come near a tree during its duration.

It depends on who's using the Techies and the opposing team if they can handle techies then it will be more than hour but if the Techies is so Pro they would probably winning

Old techies was peak dota 2 insanity. Sure, the new one is more viable and arguably better overall, but nothing tops the feeling of holding a match hostage for 2 hours in herald.

Techies was the most creative and macro-skill dependent hero in dota 2. Unfortunately, the player base doesn't appreciate those two things, imagine having to buy detection and being careful of going into the fog of war, crazy right?

But techies was unique and it is crazy when in game with 100+ characters with same abilities and tasks to solve in macro u have like one unique character that makes whole game different

DARK RIFT, one spell that will either win you the game, or throw it... Riki with Sleeping Dart rushing meteor hammer was a menace... Precision Aura just made having Mega Creeps worth it... And the funny combo of Pudge eating someone, Lifestealer eating Pudge then infesting Spirit breaker. Team Taxi...

I misses march so much. I'm not exactly a tinker player, but I'm a mid player, and sometimes there are "tinker games" where I need to pick the hero, and this spell is so much fun to use.

PL’s Doppel Walk also makes a return after several years, albeit in the form of shard upgrade.
Among other abilities people have mentioned, silencers old passive last word was omitted despite being radicaly different from the version we have today.

Man, the valve is just so talented that it makes these sound effects. My most favorite sound of all is the second skill of brew master. That sound is so good and dramatic.
How were you able to record all this with the current version of the game? Is there some command in custom lobbies to enable this?
There is called arcade in dota 6.85(something like tht) u can try all old skill and item there but only for skill/item,Gameolay on tht patch
i used to play a lot of tinker back then when march of machines was in, i just cant feel today's tinker. I had practiced like every farming pattern for tinker back then, then they'd just removed march of the machines :(

I miss sacrifice, I used to play lich 4 and just sacrifice the ranged creep of every wave so that waves were constantly under our tower while the enemy safelane got barely any xp. Tbh was to the detriment of me learning actual lane mechanics, but it was so much fun.
Riki sleeping dart was a nightmare to deal with as a support around that patch😂

I miss lich's sacrifice so much. It's so good in offlane. Deny the range creep slowing down the exp of the enemy while having mana to spam 1st.
LVL?Death is legendary skill, I miss it. Also miss old tech, it was really interesting to play another dota on techies, no creeps controlling and running the whole map, fighting and doing some shit. Just relaxing and planting bombs whole game :D P.S. w/r was 35%, but i still loved to play it
3:30, it not removed, it was added to all other skills 5:32 ??? it was simply renamed and the mechanics of the skill were slightly changed. Perhaps in the code this skill is considered separate, but this is only because writing a new skill was easier than changing the old one. 6:11 the same as the drow ranger
The name and animations are still different. It's good to see what they used to look like, I thought that drow was the most interesting one as I started 6.83 so never saw that.

Witchcraft, Sacrifice and LVL ? Death was the most overpowered spell in Dota universe imo. Imagine if these spells are still in the game right now 😂 Of all the removed spells, there's only 1 that I really want back, which is Underlord's Dark Rift portal. The current one is not fun. Its the channeling part that made it less fun. I prefer the old delay but instant teleport with the whole team. There could also be potential comeback/throw moments because of how it works. Fnatic did it once to comeback. I still remember it to this day because of "Lakad Matatag, normalin normalin" I want the old Dark Rift portal back :(

I miss Lich's sacrifice. You can really outlevel your opponent and zone them out of exp zones. Also, Omni's degen aura at level 1 with orb of poison is easy first blood.

Assimilate was probably the funniest. You get the clown car team comp going. Lifestealer and Pudge. Pudge eats someone, Lifestealer eats Pudge, Lifestealer gets in whoever the initiator for the team is. Bonus points if Pudge had Aghs for the extra clown play of jumping in a Riki and just walking down the enemy.

My friend would pick Lich and go to T3 and sacrifice a creep at 0 seconds. By the time the creeps reached the lane, the cooldown would reset and he would sacrifice another creep. Imagine having only 2 creeps in the first wave.

Geostrike is the best passive out there. U basically can rampage at zero min when illusion rune appeared its so freaking hurt because the passive stack each other either it was Clone or Illusion, back then only me that build Manta on Meepo as right clicker since he hurt so much if the enemy kind of magic resister like AM Centa and Huskar
