When you finish the no buy, if there are things that are exciting to you, go ahead and get them. But don't worry about needing new things for your channel. I watch your channel to see you enjoying what you have. If there are new things that excite you, treat yourself.
Loving this make up look - really complements your highlights. Will you post an updated makeup inventory once you complete your No Buy? Reviewing what you have might help to reassess your purchasing and consumption goals.
I did do a makeup inventory back in July, things haven’t changed much since then but I think that’s a great suggestion! Gonna look back on my pictures and remind myself how much I really do have already!
@@RebeccaMorgan I actually watched that… I can’t believe that it was only 2 months ago. So much seems to have changed. You are making great progress. Maybe just let us know which categories have seen real changes and how that influences your decisions.
I am not on a no buy, but I am being so much more selective with my beauty purchases. I am finding that skin care is what excites me these days. I actually have to watch that area because it can get out of control real quick for me. I want to try all these different moisturizers, serums, sunscreens, & lip balms.
You’ve done a great job! It’s okay you don’t know. Alejandra Lisette and it’s just Steph do a beauty budget that is a credit system to use up or pan makeup to get credits to buy makeup. There is also the old school pan 10 before you buy 1 new product. You can always make adjustments to what you’ve seen other people do that works for you. I know Angelica Nyqvist limited herself to 3 products each month for the year. Kelly Gooch did a year where she only bought 3 palettes all year

whatever you buy (if you do!) when your no-buy is over, it should definitely be something that is to you what Franklin’s toy is to him lol! but on the more serious note, I think it’d be great if you find something that looks like immediate project pan item. I mean, something that you think you’d like to use over and over until it’s finished. in this case we would be lucky to see how it turns out, how things go between you and that item. you’d be able to give us the fullest review, and it doesn’t matter if you would indeed just go through the whole thing in a sweep or play with it like idk 10 times and put it in a back of a drawer, because we would in any case get your whole thought process and emotional reaction to the product. with a minimal-ish collection there’s a possibility to do reviews you don’t normally get on youtube, where releases are waterfalling on influencers constantly, and they have to keep up with too much. I would much rather know everything one person has to say about one product in a span of 6 months or a year, than have a bi-weekly or monthly roundups of 10 products each. so just one single item you decide to buy for yourself is a whole story, and such an interesting one! why this? how’s it initially? does it stay this way to you? for how long? etc etc. fascinating if you ask me!

You are so close to be done with your goals. I think I would like you to keep posting pans and empties even if you aren't tallying anymore. I would also love to see you do a random number roulette with a full face of items that you use a certain number of times so you get use out of them - it could be ongoing and not have an end date? I am on a low buy currently and finding that many things just aren't appealing to me at the moment. I am still making purchases but very much more intentional and that has kept me focused and honestly the cost of things is ever rising and that also is a factor too.
21 empties YTD is amazing! Oh, eyeshadow empties are so satisfying. That Melt blush is beautiful. You have great momentum with this no buy. You should find a low buy option based on number of products. Maybe like a makeup rehab bank or something? That way your purchases would be based on what you've finished.
Wow, you're so close to your goal, that's quite exciting! Is there any makeup item you've been craving for a long time? In my case, for example, I've been craving for the Colourpop heart shaped blushes since last year, so last month I decided to break my no buy in order to purchase 2 of the shades I wanted most. I don't regret it as I'm loving using them, and I'm commited to continue with my no buy until May of 2024 as I'm going on a trip to UK with a couple friends and then I'll indulge myself with some high end makeup
Hey Rebecca! I have loved this series and thanks so much for always being so relatable with your makeup collection! I am so grateful for your channel! Since you’re looking for help thinking through what you do next, I went back and watched a few of your related videos and i have some ideas! 1. I would love to see a video where you go through your eyeshadow collection and swatch different palettes to find comparable shades and potentially through this find palettes that are repetitive and that you could re-home! Since you’ve brought a few in, i think that would be really satisfying to see. 2. I would love to also get an update on your collection’s total numbers. In your intro, you said that you wanted your total collection to decrease by 23 items, so has that happened despite the PR you’ve accepted? I don’t think it’s necessarily reasonable for you to break-even just through empties, but you could do a detailed declutter (similar to Hannah Louise Poston’s), where you compare all of the items in your collection through swatches and really determine which items you maybe don’t need and could re-home. That is, if your goal is still to ultimately decrease your makeup collection. I know this is somewhat controversial, but you could even try re-selling some of the items that you part with. That might give you more motivation to part with them, if you’d be getting some of your money back, and i like that idea because i know that if someone spends money on something, they’re more likely to use it. Anyway, these are just some ideas i had! Take them or leave them!! I’m sure you will make a great decision either way. ❤ I’m looking forward to your next video where you’ll talk through more of your thoughts on the subject!
You should definitely buy few products which interests you after the no buy is over. Though I would say if you want to keep things in check, maybe try not buying colored cheek products and delve into complexion products or lip glosses/oils (not lipstick bcz they take a lot of time to finish up) Some of my recs would be elf halo glow (hff dupe), nyx fat drip lip oils, natasha denona's or tower 28 concealer, or like anything which you want😁 at the end i would like to say that I look forward to your videos a lot, thanks for uploading regularly nowadays 💓

What is your goal to have in your makeup colletion? How Many products of each category?
How do y’all no buyers do it for like those things that get easily used up or dried up like Mascara, primer, brow pencil?

I noticed that you said use cases. Do you work as a business analyst, or in project management? Because that sounded awfully familiar to me, as a business analyst I'm also so inspired by your no-buy idea that I might try to do it as well. I used to have a KZhead channel, I've fallen off of it because I had a baby. But maybe I'll try to revive it through Instagram
You've done amazing, and if you want to purchase something, you've used up enough to warrant that. My collection is ready rather large and that brings me joy, if you feel content with what you own, then you don't need to purchase anything for KZhead. I know I watch content for the creator not necessarily the content focus. Panning is one of my favorite things to watch, used makeup is so satisfying to see. I'm not sure if I made any sense😂 but basically I'll watch whatever you choose to do. No buy, low buy , or intentional buy.
