My grandma used to do this for me when I was young. She passed away 3 weeks ago and I miss her so much 💔
Nenu Mee Shruthi it’s the circle of life unfortunately :( but seeing this video remind me of good memories, thank you. Give mama a big kiss! Xx

oiling hair and lice picking routine. 1,3 million people : interesting

It doesn't seem that she has a lice in her hair, its so clean.
nima vlogs she does. Her grandmother killed one in the beginning.

Indians are blessed with good genetics when it comes to hair...long thick beautiful hair...
Yes, you are correct. Indians have a long hair. Thank you so much for your compliment.
Coconut oil
Blessed not only when it comes to hair 👌
But always black hair ...no other color
@@yanne7sereine751 lol we have brown too. I’m North Indian and my hair is very light golden brown
I remember my mother removing and protecting my long hair from head life as a child. I can still remember the neck pain keeping my head down for long hours. Mothers dedication to your hair health proves your mothers love for you! Also, theres something weirdly satisfying about that crunch when you snap the lice.
What crunch you hear ? Loll 🤣
@@kiyafreeman1610there’s a small popping/crunch noise wym..lmao

Hi I just wanted to let you know you can put a ton of coconut oil in your hair and let it set for an hour and then Rinse the hair out with apple cider vinegar and let that set for another hour and just comb out the lice with a lice comb you can get rid of them in just two uses helped me and my family out a lot
(If this actually works) I wish my mom knew it when I was a kid
They probably don’t have that I think
Any thick oil will work. It suffocates them and the vinegar strips the hair of all oils and then through a second rinse of oil and vinegar you are most likely getting rid of the eggs :) no need for that chemical stuff. But even live killer is usually tea tree oil based with a chemical ingredient that kills the eggs.
Yes!! And put listerine mouthwash (yes!) in your hair for an hour it kills lice and 99.9 germs and most bugs!
Bighead Bree wtf?
I love a mother’s touch. You know she oils her hair with love🥰

I’m white but my grandma is Native American, and when I had lice as a child she done something similar. Very relaxing! Thank you for the nostalgia ma’am! 💕
You can’t be white if your grandma is native American
Nish S ever heard of a white grandpa and dad?
hoes mad I was just yk... saying that us Natives/mixed native have similar styles of hair care...
Have never had lice before most people in my family don't get them aside from my sister but we used eucalyptus oil and it got rid of them😊
Stop lying about being indigenous, I bet your gonna say your part Cherokee. Smh

I had a girlfriend who got rid of lice in her girls’ long thick hair by putting mayonnaise on it thick, putting a shower cap on it and having the children go to sleep that way. Washed their hair out in the morning and it had smothered all the lice and their hair was fine. ❤
It’s nice to see Indian women oiling scalps just as aggressive as black parents do😂
I was thinking this the whole time😂😂 I thought my mom was rough bc my hair is so kinky but IG its just a parent thing😂
Wow! I was thinking the same exact thing! If you complained too much my mother said you were tender-headed. My mother was very rough doing my 4c hair.
Algerian moms do this too and if you move she slaps you with hair brush🤣🤣🤣🤣
Omg my mother is Barbadian and she did the same thing. She even used to lotion me rough.

Although I wasn't born in India, my family originate from there before coming to the caribbean. As far as I could remember, my mother would always sit with me each Sunday and comb and search for lice on my hair until I was around 13 or 14. My hair was as long to my knees maybe longer (typical not cutting my hair, my grandfather wouldn't allow it). My mother would always keep my hair braided and use pure coconut oil.
what part of the caribbean if you don’t mind me asking ?
@@Michelle__.probably trinidad or guyana
Very relaxing 👍 fun fact: in México when we want a head massage we said "hazme piojito" hazme is do me, and piojito means "little lice" so its like "look if i have lices" 😂 sorry for my english
Aqui en Brasil llamamos a esta masaje "cafuné". There is something magical about these head massages, apart from the head lice bit lol
The same in Yemen lol 😁
In elementary school our school nurse would go around with a knitting needle and gently file through our hair for “lice checks” and id fall asleep
Jajajajaa
I don't have lices but I can say hazme piojito so someone will do this to my head. lol 😂😂 What if when they can't find any lices 😨 Me: run 🥲🥲 Also me: thanks for free massage 🤣🤣

Thank you so much.
What oil is it do u know by any chance?

I appreciate that you didn’t add annoying music. I love listening to the original audio of the video!
Ok for those of you that don’t know she’s kill bugs in her hair and the oil is used so that the bugs don’t stick. It is easier to remove lice with oils in the hair.
I love the care and affection for family this video demonstrates! And her hair is so beautiful!
Beautiful hair. It must be very frustrating to have lice with such thick, long hair
Yeahhh
Is the medical lice shampoo not available there? One wash and no more lice!
@Amanda: It is. But many rural Indians prefer the traditional way.
@@amandabutler8881 you don’t even need that. My mom used baby oil and fine toothed comb and the lice and eggs were gone
Head lice shampoo costs a fortune - you need 2 bottles for long hair. I teach kids... I have had to spend the same amount that I earned from the lesson on lice lotion to get rid of the lice.
Reminds me of when we used to form 'pamper trains' as kids and perform asmr on each others hair before we even knew that's what it was. Everything from the background noise to sitting on the doorstep, just lovely!
Reminds me of back in the day before perms, getting my hair washed and then my scalp greased with Blue magic or Super Gro and then braided before a good hot comb press with the yellow pressing creme...Grandma did it best 🙏🏽❤️🕊
The headlice thing really traumatised me as a child, however her hair is omg goals ❤️
This reminds me of my childhood, I’m Mexican and both my parents especially my dad loves my long hair and him & my mom would do this to me and my sister for hours, he even learned to braid our hair 🥹💕
So cute 🥰
Im trying to tell you. South asians have such beautiful hair.
You helped me remisce my old memories, sister. I am an Indian male and my grandma would do this for me every Saturday or Sunday as well, I always felt like sleeping but she would not let me by slapping my head. Oiling on weekends is an age-old custom of many Indians, I have seen. Jet black hair is too much prized isn't? Plus, Indian ladies also wear flower garlands and ornaments in their hair many a times, so hair needs to be strong enough.
Hello, I saw in Indian serials that Indian girls' hair is very thick and hard, what do they put on their hair to make it so beautiful??
@@NazUlkyaz12genetics mostly
@@shav349 you’re very blessed🥰😂 sounds like you have gorgeous hair!
@@NazUlkyaz12we use Hindu traditional medicine aka Ayurveda, basically you use Amla, Shikakai, curry leaves etc apart from cocunut/mustard oil 2-3 times a week, mix them together and let these sit on your head for atleast 3-4 hours before washing it off. Spend atleast 10-15 minutes in the Sun while drying your hair( but decrease that to 5 mins in the summer). Don't use straightener and dryer much, just use it when required urgently, otherwise let it dry naturally. Comb your hair atleast 2-3 times the day when you apply oil, before bathing to remove tangles, after bath and before sleep. Massage your head for 5 minutes atleast while oiling.
If your grandmother is Indian, then you know what your grandmother and mother did to their hair to make it long and thick?
Look at how pretty that hair is. Your mother is a legend. And you are too.
And please an explanation of how exactly you become a legend by having nits picked ??!!!
@@MrsSlocombesPuddyCat It takes courage and balls of steel to do something like that regularly and precisely it really is kind of hard
Her Hair Is Absolutely GORGEOUS 🥰🥰
The way her mother handpicks and kills lices is really accurate and careful. And I'm really worried about the huge infected red area at the left side of the head. It's a bit bald and badly swollen.Take good care of your body)
The sound of her bangles as she applies the oil is so relaxing.

Haha I really don't know why I find it very relaxing the fact that someone combs someone's hair 😹😹 If someone gets lice or nits I recommend that they put white vinegar in their hair and leave it for an hour, then they bathe and they will see that they will no longer have them.

She's got some beautiful long hair
You know if I had lice I probably wouldn't tell the whole internet, but I respect the bravery of putting it out there.
Not being rude..Whats wrong with that...we are only humans...this is really asmr btw.
BSquared excuse me I literally said she was brave and I watched the video which gave her views and ad revenue. Chill out
The chemicals they use to kill the lice are not that effective anymore here in the west and kids and families are still susceptible. Though closing down the schools may have helped for a bit. Lice love clean hair so there is no shame in getting them, just bad if you have them because it's such an ordeal having to wash everything and use shampoos that hardly work. I remember myself as a little kid, I had an allergic reaction to the shampoo and my back had a rash/hives. Luckily it did kill the lice stil back then.
Peppa Pig oh I for sure had lice. I think twice. But I was really embarrassed about it. So props to this queen.
BSquared they might not be from America yk that? Stop being so assuming. And everyone is different and feels different about it, but that’s their opinion.
WOW so satisfying if only someone can do this for me everyday
Your hair is so beautiful, amazing ♡
I’m using this same oil rn. I love this! So much love in this video. Beautiful hair too!
What oil?
Parachute coconut oil
@@nenumeeshruthi thank you🥰
When my kids were young, we used lots of cheap conditioner left on the hair while combing out with a nitcomb twice a week. Would clear it up in a couple of weeks. Conditioner worked similar to other methods in smothering the lice, but also making it slippery so the lice lost grip for combing. Looks like a lot of these methods work on a similar basis. Lice spreads in the nurseries and primary schools among young children, as they often have their heads together playing or learning, then when they get older they stop getting lice so much as they don't crowd together in the same way.
Oh my god, she has beautiful hair. I love it.
2:13 when excessive noise becomes music.

She needs a lice comb and head lice shampoo squashing the lice or knits it’s not exactly getting rid of them, they’re still in her hair.
It is traditional method... And it does get rid of them... But have to sit for hrs... Lice shampoo and all are modern ways
They also probably can't afford it

I used to have thick long straight black hair down to almost about my knees and it took a lot of work just to keep it healthy and clean that’s why I got it cut lol now it’s to my shoulders but I feel much better with it now
I can not explain how soothing it feels when my mom does nit picking though I have none but she uses the same magical technique .
When I was young my mom used to do this to me putting oil in my hair and lice picking. My hair used to be as healthy as your hair before but then rebonding, chemicals and all ruined my hair, now it's dry and frizzy. Coconut oil is magic.nnow that's legit.

Ohhh watching it makes my head itch but i cant stop watching either! I wish i could of had this when i had lice when i was younger! It looks sooo relaxing much more than what my mom would do when i had gotten lice. The method she used did not work very well. It took 3 years before i got rid of it by some miracle lol!
I had it for like 4 years before my older sister and I got rid of it we did everything we could it was so aggravating but finally we started dying our hair and that worked
My kids got it once from school. It was gone the first time I did treatments. I'm extreme and can't deal with bugs. Lol. I used the poison/medication from Rite Aid. Then I flat ironed the hair incase anything got left behind. Oiled up hair, braided the hair in four plats. Inspected everyday. They never got lice again.
