It's difficult because he was never really that out and out number 9 but he did transition from a wide role to a more central role and it did last more than just a season.
The problem with Faysal’s point on Aguero was he kept saying he ghosted, but then had nothing to say when Shaun brought up 43 goals in 69 games.

Shaun needs to understand just cause youre the goal scorer of a team, that does not mean you are a STRIKER. Cristiano Ronaldo has played in systems that made him the focal point of goalscoring for his team, despite playing out wide. Cristiano is an inverted winger, and their roles include to score goals, thats different from traditional wingers, like Di Maria. Benzema for his entire career was a CF, not ST, because he had someone like Cristiano to have the goal scoring responsibility. Lewandowski is a crazy goal scorer and he's been doing it for years he can still do it at any team. I believe he can go on until 40. @@jaspersanders8173 classic striker what a unstoppable guy
As a Madrid fan, I am BAFFLED as to how Cristiano was in this list. The only Madrid candidates are Ronaldo the Fenomeno, Raùl, Benzema and van Nistelrooy. During his time at Madrid, Cristiano played less than 25% of games up front. That's a FACT. If he is in contention for the strikers' list, that means Totti, Del Piero and even MESSI come into the fray. Messi has played almost DOUBLE the amount of games upfront in La Liga than Ronaldo. Putting Cristiano here changes the entire format of the list. They should've listened to Faysal. You shouldn't be talking about Ronaldo unless you actually watched. How can you include Rooney, then Cristiano, but not Messi or Totti?? It makes no sense.
Shaun said how many goals has he scored inside the box😭😭😭
Cuz cr7 played as a striker at juve and utd
Srsly bro, okay his position was on the left, but what was his role. What role did he play within the squad!? He was the focal point in the Madrid attack, the main shot taker. He was Madrid's "striker", you can tell me that on paper he played on the left, but watch the roles of players. The position mindset is old football, roles is modern football.
I’m not a Madrid or cr7 fan and I knew this shit😭😭
you’re acting like he hasn’t been playing as a striker for the past 6 years 😂
Credits to the guy who rated Lewandowski fifth. I love your guys debates but come on man... You noticed the most important fact: Lewandowski is third in Champions League all time scoring list. Only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have more seasons with 40+ goals in the 21st century than Robert Lewandowski (7). He has scored at least 40 goals in every season since 2015/2016. Plus he is the worlds player with the most goals since 2018. Plus he won six title in one year. Plus lead Dortmund to the CL final with four goals against no other than Real Madrid. Plus scored 41 Bundesliga goals breaking a nearly 50 year old record. Scored 5 Goals in 9 minutes. Countless awards and records. Bayern Munich? There's where the context comes into it? Bayern Munich is one of the two best and most constant teams in the last 10 years and Lewandowski is together with Neuer the most important player in that span. And to put his stats into perspective: Lewandowski scored 127 goals in UEFA competitions. 45 of them against Barcelona, Real, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, PSG, City, Sevilla and Atletico. That's a third against the best european teams over that span. How can you say 5th place is crazy man?! Lewandowski at 9 is just direspectful. Still love your debates 😊 keep it going 🙏 PS: Lewandowski has the most goals since 2016. Nobody has scored more in the span. Netting 29 more goals than Messi and 53 more than Ronaldo. Games: 249 | Goals: 252 | Assists: 48 | Goals+Assists: 300 | G/A-per-game: 1.20
Lewandowski isn't all that, I'm not an English biased prick I watch all leagues of football I really like serie a that being said the German league is horrible, playing against Wolfsburg and lipzig isn't it west ham is better than Dortmund.

Cristiano Ronaldo was a striker (as a role) since 2016 ish He was a pure winger until 2014 2015-16 was the transition period
And by striker you mean what, exactly?
@@jbo4547 I can't say he was a complete number 9 because he switched back and forth with Benzema a lot during the game, but he took a much more prominent role as the main striker
@@jbo4547 if you want a purist striker that sits in the box gets headers and sits in perfect position to collect tap ins Ronaldo has been that for a couple years now… and he’s the best in the world at it
Incorrect. Go amd check his average starting position for Juve LW and CF are pretty much equal
@@shaunmgraham Average starting position doesn't mean shit 😂 Fam I'm a Madrid fan I've watched every game he ever played for Madrid (I'll admit didn't watch a single Juve game of his besides maybe UCL ones or any of the United ones) but during his time in Madrid just from watching the games and where he drifted off too, his role (crossing, beating players, staying in the box etc) and where he spent most of his time he was deffo a striker towards the end of his time in Madrid.
Could do for a podcast in the future top 10 duos or trios in football
A Top 10 "Number 10s since 2000" list would actually be really interesting. Not necessarily the players who wore the number 10 (Messi is the GOAT but not necessarily a classic number 10) but the ones who played the position. For example Zidane wore 21 and 5 during his best club years but was a number 10. Zidane and Totti would probably be my top 2 since 2000 off the top of my head but I'd have to think about it.
I haven’t started the video yet but I swear down if I don’t see Suarez at least in the top 3 imma be very unhappy
Fazel is saying that Aguero wasn't needed to win the league??? Maybe his last season when he was INJURED. This guy doesn't know anything man
Complains how these guys don’t watch la liga but he has no clue what goes on in the premier league, so tragic

Faysal’s point on Aguero’s impact is spot on but not having him higher than 10th is awful
The problem you have when you have certain man in their early 20s who don’t remember beyond 2005 involved in a discussion about ‘Top 10 Strikers 2000-Onwards’ is they don’t have the proper knowledge or appreciation of strikers who peaked in the early 00s. Their opinion is purely based off stats, trophy halls & compilation vids. That what shapes their perception. Shevchenko for example didn’t make the top 10, and was miles behind the likes of David Villa in points. Sheva was one of the best strikers in the world for at least 7 seasons, was a complete striker with two feet who could score from distance, poach goals, good in the air.. could beat a man or run in behind.. was the complete striker. I’m not saying he should be top of the list but having him behind players like Villa (who was good but nowhere near the same level striker) is scandalous.
Klass-jan Huntelaar, Diego Forlan, Radamel Falcao, these man don't know football

The disrespect for Lewandowski is baffling ngl, the only striker that can even be compared to him in since 2000 are Suarez and Ronaldo Nazario, and even then he would be either first or second the PL and nostalgia bias in this one is strong ngl
I’d have him behind Suarez, R9 & Henry and maybe Ibra but even that’s debatable
@@cw05 Ibra is nearly a 10 years older than Lewandowski and Lewandowski still has more league goals, CL goals and international than him so although he is an elite striker I wouldnt put him in the same level, he doesn't reach the top 10 of all time list(not the 2000 onwards like this vid). Same thing with Henry, he was a top striker from 2000 to now but doesn't reach the all time top 10. In his whole career he hasn't had a single season where he scored 40+ goals. In the CL 50 goals in 112 appearances which is good but not great, same number of CL goals as Thomas Muller. Even though he played for France and won the world cup he still has less international goals than Lewandowski. R9 overall in his career is top 3 striker of all time alongside Gerd Muller and Van Basten, but his best seasons were pre 2000, 2000 onwards both Suarez and Lewandowski have been better than him as they had their peaks 2000 onwards. Between Lewandowski and Suarez I would take Lewandowski as he has scored more goals in less games, he outscored Suarez in every season except 2 or 3 seasons. Suarez only has 3 seasons in his whole career with 33+ goals while Lewandowski has 8 seasons and 6 in seasons in a row with 40+, this season he is already on 35 halfway through the season. Suarez on the other hand also has lots of assists, 183 in all competitions in contrast to Lewandowski's 89 assists according to fbref. Overall Suarez's g+a ratio is 1.01 while Lewandowski's 1.02, they are pretty much neck to neck with Lewandowski slightly ahead but Lewandowski has 3 times the amount of CL goals so I would take him over Suarez.
@@johnmakaveli7511 I’ll be real i wasn’t actually old enough to see R9 & Henry but from the stories ive heard these guys were like superhuman! And with Suarez, he’s constantly played in the hardest leagues and always dominated them, whereas Lewa has been in the bundesliga him whole career so for me that puts him down a bit. Suarez is more then just goals, he’s a linkup man, he’ll hold it up he needs to, he’ll beat 3 men if he wants, and he could score from absolutely anywhere. Looking at it internationally aswell, Suarez dragged an average Uruguay team to a Copa America. Also that 2013/14 Liverpool season was arguably the greatest individual season in Prem history, almost dragging a poor liverpool side to the title. Recency bias defo favours Lewa but in the last decade, Lewa has only been better for two of them whereas Suarez dominated the previous. Even with recency, Suarez was the main man and top scorer of an atletico team who were underdogs to win the La liga. I’m a big Lewa fan but for me, Suarez is the greatest
@@cw05 When Suarez was playing in the Premier League the Bundesliga was better than the PL, with 2 german teams in the CL final and constant CL semi's for bundesliga teams while PL teams only had 1 CL semi final for 6 or so years. Also Lewandowski's 11/12 season with Dortmund was better than Suarez's 13/14 season, he dragged Dortmund to beat prime Bayern in the league AND in the DFB Pokal while scoring a hattrick in the final against prime Neuer. Also the 2011 Uruguay wasn't average, they were literally semi finalists in the world cup the previous year. Lewandowski also plays for Poland which is far worse than Uruguay, if it wasn't for Lewy they wouldnt even have gone to any international tournaments, he still got more international goals than Suarez in a far worse teams. Suarez has only been better than Lewandowski 3 seasons in his whole career. The Champions League is the most difficult tournament in football and Lewandowski literally has 3 times the amount of goals as Suarez. In the last 3 CL seasons Lewandowski scored more goals than Suarez's whole career! So how can Suarez be better than lewandowski if he is so much worse in the Champions League which is acknowledges as the most difficult tournament.
Best pod in da world 🔥🔥🔥
wikipedia player guessing game: one by one, read out the clubs a player has played for in order to try and guess the player, you can use life lines for extra clues like you may want to ask how many goals a player socred at a set club. I think this would make a great video
Faisal’s Aguero take is shocking man he needs to be subbed off next episode
WHAT. Lewandoski lower that Benz, Rooney, ageuro and Suarez. The disrespect This guy should have 2 ballon daor
Suarez is debatable but lewa is clear of benzema and aguero
Nah release it as merch it is cold bro

You have to have aguero his stats are phenomenal
Yeah Id put him around 7th-10th. But Lewandowski, Shevchenko, Eto’o, Henry, Zlatan and Suarez are clear of him. I personally would rate Benz higher as well but that’s debatable
Fasial is one hell of a guy😂
Sharky does Football. This ain't a sports channel no more my brudda 😂 but big ups, we love the work
Sharky , i want to suggest a topic about top 10 Trio of all time for example : MSN (counted as one) PS : u may change the format
Faisal was right about Aguero. How can you bash Lewandowski for doing it in one league yet majority of Aguero's legacy is based in the premier league? At least Lewandowski was the the striker for the last team to win the Bundesliga that wasn't Bayern Munich, he has done it CL. Aguero on the other hand doesnt even have a CL legacy and nor has done fuck all with Argentina. I believe Lewandowski has more career goals than Aguero.
It’s easier for Lewandowski to have more goals when he played for the best Dortmund team in the last 20 years and the best Bayern team ever. The bundesliga is well and truly a monopoly for Bayern. Aguero has also done well in both international play and the champions league. The narratives that he hasn’t are blatantly incorrect.
Ronaldo did start on the left during his latter years at Real Madrid BUT it's a fact that tactically Zidane utilised both him and Benzema as Number 9's up front for Real Madrid, in my opinion Shaun is right about Ronaldo for sure
As a Madrid fan, I find it bogus that Cristiano Ronaldo is on this list. He's not a striker. As a striker, the only Madrid players I considered were Ronaldo the Fenomeno, Raùl, Benzema and van Nistelrooy. Statistically, Cristiano only played up front for us in 107 out of 438 games at Madrid. That's less than a quarter of games in his entire 9 years at Madrid. If I put Ronaldo in this list, then I have to start including names like Totti, Del Piero and even MESSI. Messi has played more games down the middle in his career than Ronaldo. So how can I possibly put Ronaldo down as a striker? It changes everything.
@@tharcisse7103 messi played down the middle but much farther back than Cristiano. Like a number 10
@@matthewtait2939 He played False 9, but so did Rooney. If Ronaldo is on this list, you also HAVE TO include Totti. Totti was more of a striker than Ronaldo during his peak. He actually played centre forward, waiting for the ball. He was a natural 10, but during his prime (between 2006-2008), he played as a striker because Spalletti lacked options. During that time, Totti won the European Golden Boot and was arguably better than Kaka in the league as he repeatedly led Roma to outperform everyone except Inter. Once you include a player like Ronaldo, the whole criteria of the list falls apart. Sharky should've said "Number 9s" to avoid such things.
@@camebz9373 let’s not take the piss. He was a penalty box poacher
@@camebz9373 Totally not true, Zidane arriving at the club coincided with a switch to either a 4-3-3 where Ronaldo drifted centrally with Bale playing wider or a 4-4-2 diamond where both Ronaldo and Benzema both played as strikers. Ronaldo himself literally mentioned in an interview during that period that his style of play was more of a penalty box player rather than a winger
funny how things change in the aftermath of a career. In the early 2000s shevchenko was widely seen on par with henry as the best no. 9 in the world behind ronaldo. should atlest made it into the top 6/7
